You are clearly an empathetic, loving, warm-hearted person and being like that sometimes makes it hard to act in your own self interest, it takes a lot of strength.

Mr Eco/Bio has dropped off the face of the planet too...but never mind because good ol Mr Herbalist is keen enough for 10 blokes...we have been laughing about some of the colourful characters from our youth that we both remember...like the guy who used to wear cardboard armour to the club we used to go to and another one who dresses as a judge. I wonder if I will recognise him? He will know TR for sure. My city is honestly like a big village...mad. Laters guys n gals. x

I know lovely, I know....and I certainly wouldnt want to try to force your hand if you dont feel ready yet....as I say, with TR I did some truly awful things cos he wound me up so much (like hacking into his facebook page changing his relationship status to civil partnership so his mates started ribbing him about 'coming out') at least you havent plumbed those depths yet. For me it was a kind of blessed relief when it was over because I KNEW there was no future in it. I think you have to come to that conclusion for yourself.

ps I only did that because he was so bloody patronising about my technophobia...it gave him something to chew on for a while cos he would never have given me the 'credit' for being 'clever' enough to work out how to do it. Ha! Thumbs nose.

oh and he was a secretive bastard about his facebook account aswell (let it go Ike, let it go.....ok Ike)

And bloody Mr Software didn't get the hint that I wanted a bit of flirting last night. Mind you, I think he might not be au fait with the whole flirting concept, unless he's had a drink. Sigh again.

ike I want to join your gang. Yesterday I had a notion of turning up to work again in full Viking warrior combat gear, ready for anything.

Thank you all for your advice earlier. I've been back to the doctors and I've started on AD's and counselling starts next week. Still feeling very up and down, but taking it one day at a time. Fireman says he has an overwhelming need to look after me and he contacts me every day. I've found that I can only cope with small bursts of interaction from other people and I can't plan much ahead.

Aw Scatty lovely...bite size chunks of real life are probs the way to go...so nice to hear that Fireman is doing his thing too. Take care of yourself, you are doing all the right things.x

Jake no... run a mile! If you happened to like his pic but then not want to meet for a different reason you'll be lumped into the 'shallow nasty ladies' category too. It's not tht he has no pic (although that is pretty dodgy tbh unless it's because of their work or something) it's the apparent explanation of it.

OWW you haven't asked for anything too much or out of the ordinary from him, I agree absolutely.

You've done the first step of asking for what you need. (a few times, and giving him a lot of understanding a leeway too)

The next one is not accepting it when you don't get it, or in fact anywhere near it, and stopping that cycle of a sort of 'conditioning'

Ok, ok, I've only skim read it, it's very long but basically it's a tale of woe about the snow and his daughter getting stuck and having a big row with him and blah blah blah.
