Scatty the ex would be enough of a flag for me to high tail it out of there but I'm a tad sensitive on that subject. As Middy says, if you've got a bad feeling, then I'd be inclined to trust it.

Scatty, if you've got sirens going off in the back of your head, then listen to them. The subconscious is very powerful, you can't necessarily justify the bad feeling with specific facts - if it feels bad, it's probably bad. Giving someone the benefit of the doubt once is probably fine, and the smoking thing could just be that it hadn't come up in conversation. Everything could be perfectly innocent but the fact you're looking askew at things bodes badly.

Snapespeare · 24/01/2013 22:14

I agree, when I smoked and was trying to give up, I wouldn't mention it, because it was one of the things I didn't like about myself, so I wouldn't smoke on dates... But obviously the virulent non smoker would know.

You can often tell if someone smokes from the profile, obviously the may say they do, but if someone just doesn't answer, I've found 80% of the time they're just too embarrassed to admit it as it puts people off.

Bant · 24/01/2013 22:18

And I agree with middys comment. The ex thing is weird. Who wants to be the next convenient thing?

Snapespeare · 24/01/2013 22:19

. No, wait!

mercury7 · 24/01/2013 22:20

he sounds like someone who just 'makes stuff up' Scatty? Hmm

ike1 · 24/01/2013 22:21

48howdidthathappen · 24/01/2013 22:22

I leave the room for 5 minutes Grin

Just spent a pleasant couple of hours with my ex as he handed over dosh for daughter. All very civilised Smile

Am going to a Rock and Roll gig on saturday. I am not dressing up!!!

antonym · 24/01/2013 22:23

I am normally a fervent benefit-of-doubt urger, but scatty this bloke = May day in Moscow, hop extreme caution to be exercised, the deletion of profile could easily be absolutely fine but that text after one date = Hmm.

Scattylatte · 24/01/2013 22:23

Thanks all. My sub conscious mind is telling me something. the red flags are the wife relationship. Each time I've met him he has mentioned he has had hassle from his ex (his description). I dunno but I just thought it was odd that he was still sleeping with her but not having a relationship 5 years after a divorce. It's really strange. I'm not seeing him till the 10th feb anyway so I've got time to push him out of my head.

Scattylatte · 24/01/2013 22:26

The smoking thing I understand. I think he is sleeping with his wife still. He also said that I will probably fall in love with him and there is no way that's happening. Confused ach....I do pick them!

ike1 · 24/01/2013 22:27

I need some advice of a slightly personal matter...having my very first fanny wax tomoz....landing strip, brazillian, or triangular fluff....you choose...

48howdidthathappen · 24/01/2013 22:29

Scatty I had social smoker on my profile. Not quite the truth.

It all sounds VERY odd!

ike1 · 24/01/2013 22:30

Do you wax the under bit? Does it hurt? And why am I doing it? Pure novelty factor...no fucker will see it but me and the beautician...

MsArsebiscuit · 24/01/2013 22:31

Bloody hell, Ike don't ask that on Style & Beauty, all hell kicks off

48howdidthathappen · 24/01/2013 22:31

Ike My teeth are clenched!

MsArsebiscuit · 24/01/2013 22:32

Yes and yes, Ike.

ike1 · 24/01/2013 22:32

Reaaally ????What do most peeps have then??? We have had fleecegate tonight already....dont need fannygate as well....forget I mentioned....

hoplittlebunnyhophophop · 24/01/2013 22:32

antonym - do you think? Would it be unwise to go on this second date?

JoylessFucker · 24/01/2013 22:33

Isn't a brazillian a landing strip? I thought a hollywood was the all off ...

Personally, I have a hollywood (when I can be arsed) but I'm old and rather sparse so trim in between without any effort. I rather like the feel of all off, although can't say its fun fun fun having it done (I'm not a masochist or anything). Always tricky for me to work out when it might be less painful as whilst I still have plentiful hormones, there's no physical sign due to coil.

MsArsebiscuit · 24/01/2013 22:34

The young people, I believe, quite often have everything off. ( Do you know that they do < stage whisper > your arse too ? )
