I've always been hour glass until the last couple of years when any extra weight has gone to my tummy. I'm loosing the extra slowly but that is to wear my clothes again, not for getting them off. Anyone who wants me takes all of me as I am Wink. There is also something sexy about a man liking the current version of me that is far from the standard 'perfect'.

48howdidthathappen · 22/01/2013 13:39

'Perfect' is going to mean different things to different people. Look at glamour models all big boobs, make mine look like a couple of fried eggs. I never wear padded bras or anything, couldn't be arsed.

AndLibbyMakesThree · 22/01/2013 13:40

Nomore, I think lots of us have areas of our body that we're self-conscious about. In my case it's my (almost non-existent) boobs. I always think men are going to be hugely disappointed when they see them. But what's the alternative? Never getting close to a man again isn't a very appealing solution. And I agree with what others have said - most adults realised that most people's bodies aren't perfect, but are so happy to be getting intimate with someone they like that they don't really notice/care.

AndLibbyMakesThree · 22/01/2013 13:43

Haha, 48, seems like we have something else in common!

I also agree about different people liking different types of bodies. For example, I like skinny men, whereas I know to some women that's a real turn-off.

lubeybooby · 22/01/2013 13:51

Definitely all have different types and ideas of perfect.

My mum likes short(ish) and stocky, my friend likes average height and quite skinny. I like tall and well built - my mate finds that intimidating though.

I think there's something beautiful about all types of womens bodies. I don't really go for women any more but I still recognise the beauty.

Small boobs are very elegant and Audry Hepburn ish and tend to stay more pert. And offer way more wardrobe options than big boobs too.

Big bums and thighs are just lovely. But so are small ones in a different way!

Big boobs are all squishy and great.

Women are just great really, and often way more gorgeous than they realise, flaws n all.

Well said Lubey Smile

ike1 · 22/01/2013 15:21

size 8-10 but with 12 boobs. Strangely a flat stomach ..dunno why alwys drinking vino and no exercise EVER.

MsArsebiscuit · 22/01/2013 15:45

As I may or may not have mentioned before, I see a LOT of people without their clothes on, honestly, at the very most, 1% are approaching the kind of bodies you see on TV or in films or magazines, everyone else is just varying degrees of normal, we're all imperfect.

OhWesternWind · 22/01/2013 16:19

Got a Lunch arranged for later this week - that's Lunch with a capital L . . .

I have the horrible saggy tummy thing going on, never been the same since I had the dcs, plus revolting feet. Really. But these things have never put anyone off ever and I'm not going to let worrying about them spoil the best sex I've ever had Grin

JulietteMontague · 22/01/2013 16:28

Lubey yes, exactly what you said.

I have a date with, lets call him Mr Early on Saturday. He suggested 10 am. I said I wasn't a morning woman so he came up with 10.30. As far as I am concerned, that is still the crack of dawn and we settled on 11.00 a.m. He wanted a phone conversation, which I thought was pointless but whatever. and I suspect he was trying to see if I had the 'right' accent. He then interviewed me, I think he has decided I am not up to scratch and will cancel on Friday or at 6.30 am on Saturday. Yes, he irritated me, and no I won't care unless it is on Saturday and I have got up especially early to make myself presentable. In fact, nothing would piss me off more than getting up early for a canceller and I won't be responsible for my actions if he does.

Scattylatte · 22/01/2013 16:28

Any issues with my body (which is far from perfect) have been created by me. The only "complaints" Ive had have been about my body issues - saying why dont I let them see everything etc...not about my actual body. Recently I have decided that my body belongs to me and its ok so Im not hiding it any more.

Nomorepain · 22/01/2013 16:28

Thanks for all of your comments! You are putting my mind at ease a bit!! Just get stressy over stuff. Before I was perfectly okay walking around naked etc but just get bit more self conscious with a new man!!

ike 12 boobs? You must be very popular!!!

bill you are a scampi!!!! But funny! Honesty you wouldn't want to see a picture!!!

lubeybooby · 22/01/2013 16:41

Juliette you post made me laugh. That defo is the crack of dawn for a Saturday. I wouldn't like to be him if he cancels. What happened to that one who didn't irritate you recently, is he still around? Sorry I am mega forgetful at the moment

NicholasTeakozy · 22/01/2013 16:49

Voice the somebody who said that was me, about ten threads ago. It's true too, nakedness is a great leveller. I know I'm not perfect, I need to gain a bit of weight, as I'm about 9 stone and 5'8".

48, it's great to read that your mum is improving, hope she recovers fully soon.

48howdidthathappen · 22/01/2013 16:52

I have never come across a self conscious man are they all for real or are some faking it Confused

Juliette 11am. Too early. With you on that!

Snapespeare · 22/01/2013 17:02

awful stomach here, like a ripped paper bag stuffed with porridge.

had horrible day at work & feel stressed & paranoid. discussion argument with boss about something that has ticked me off & people being generally unhelpful, plus kitchen window wouldnt shut last night, so I burst the runner & had to phone landlord. am much of the mind that life hates me at present.

ike1 · 22/01/2013 17:04

Lol, yeah they loves my 12 boobs on POF, they do.

ike1 · 22/01/2013 17:05

Aw Snapes.....xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

JulietteMontague · 22/01/2013 17:06

What is it with morning people. I'm a night person but I wouldn't dream of trying to arrange a meeting at 10.30 pm. And before anyone asks why I'm bothering, lets have to remember that my pool is shallow so the benefit of the doubt shall be given. I will be positive.

Bill I am very put out that you haven't asked me for a bikini pic. I don't have any, but I would have gone to a special effort for you.

48howdidthathappen · 22/01/2013 17:09

Oh I am sorry you are feeling crap Snape We are all here to listen if nowt else.

JulietteMontague · 22/01/2013 17:09

Snape (((hugs)))

watchoutforthatsnail · 22/01/2013 17:16

Snape, sorry. being on your own makes these thing all the more difficult....

so, i was riled re the boob thing. Spoke to 2 male, gay friends at work as i was wondering if they had a similar thing, ( they are both on pof) neither of them have, not once. No cock shots. No asking for extra pics, no nude pics and NO FILTH.

There declared it must be me, so we had a look at my profile and the guys ive been chatting to and was going to meet... and they were totally shocked that they behaved like that as nothing would have said they would.

( which i told them)

So, we have come to the conclusion that ALL MEN ( sorry voice, the pink voice has spoken) are knobbers.

:)

chilli boy remains vanished.

The boob pic one, who last night couldnt believe i was going to meet him, is now upset and sending me begging texts. Apparently the boobs harrasment was just banter. who knew Hmm

BillMasen · 22/01/2013 17:17

48 faking it! We (the normal older ones with normal bodies, not those weird shirt off muscley ones) are self conscious. I'm a tiny weeny bit shorter than average, and slim so am never going to measure up physically against the ideal of a 6' with six pack and muscles. The pressure is there for us too you know and when you're not the magazine model physical type you can be conscious of it and it can make you aware and a little bit shy.

BillMasen · 22/01/2013 17:18

juliette. I'd love a bikini pic but you'd probably send one of just a bikini and not you in one! Then label me as a perv and block me forever.

watchoutforthatsnail · 22/01/2013 17:23

in less depressing news, i got my discount card for my very nice workplace today. And i brought lovely things inc a massive bar of hotel choc, which in intend to eat on the sofa with dd.

:)
