Dumbledore has been chatty all day, which is nice. He's geocaching

Can't remember what I named the 29 year old... But been hearing from him as well.

Also, now have a 3rd, doctor who fan, am engaging in some nice river/doctor role playing Blush helpfully he's not hideous, but does live quite far way. (Gallifrey...)

There was a 4th last night, but I'm not sure he's worth a mention.

just marking my place, not much has changed for me, I have a couple of ongoing arrangements and probably wont seriously look for any more unless one of them drops out, which may well happen, you just never know whats around the corner Confused

my current OD situation is:
CabinCrew - had one date, she's nice, but we can't meet up again till the end of the month.
ShoeGirl, sweet and funny. Not completely sure about the pictures, am meant to meet for the first date this weekend
Pixie - tentatively arranging a date for this weekend too.

And a couple of other conversations ongoing. One with a 26 year old who is probably waaay too young for me (being 38) but in one of her pictures she's dressed as an elf and it's just really cute.

I'm on POF at the moment and have had a couple of dates that have not set the world on fire...the first had really long eyebrow hairs and his nails were too long (yack) and the second was just wet. I'm chatting to someone at the moment and am probably going to meet up with him soon.

Current situation, one date with Mr Vague, funny, smart and we got on well right up until he got over familiar. Has asked for date two and I'm going to see what happens then

Mr Major - meant to be meeting on Thursday. Really not sure about him, he seems rather regimented in his approach and I think he wants a replacement wife. It may be my first cancellation.

Man I rescued on Xmas eve, still chatting but he keeps saying will have a drink on such day then I don't hear anything, so flakey - not holding my breath

Widower from two years ago back on the scene, chatting lots and he suggested lunch one day next week and maybe an evening drink too so will wait and see

And hotbut (lovely fwb I found on pof) is still in the background, hoping to catch up with him soon

I have realised from others experiences on here that I am in fact doing ok on views and messages. They are just not for me.

I keep ruling out many of the men my age because they seem decrepit. I have just realised from comments on this thread that this may well be because they have lied a lot about their age. I have also lied about my age, but I am not decrepit Grin. Nor do I start my profile with 'I look younger than my years and am young at heart', thus proving my point.

I have resolved to be pro-active for a change, and ignore much of what goes in profiles. This worked for me with the last relationship, I got to the stage where I wrote to him because he was intelligent, hot and sounded kind.

I have also resolved to bear in mind that what I may see as strong and independent woman my dates may see as overbearing and impervious to their charms. This was suggested to someone from another relationship thread where a woman wasn't getting second dates. I've been in a very 'just get it sorted, now please' roles at work for years when dealing with mostly men so it is possible this approach might be leaking into my dates.

Dumbledore is back from the wilds of the north on 8th January, which means we can't possibly meet before then. He is currently where I lived for 20 years before I moved back to where I am now (geographically obtuse enough?) so I have just recommended the best cheesemongers. We like cheese. Blush

He has also just said 'I should probably mention, I am a bit of a hoarder'... He's ridiculous. Everything he mentions I am or do or love. I'm getting to the stage where I would appreciate other thread people Checking him out just to I ensure I haven't made him up Hmm
