MrsCellophane the fact that there were hundreds that didn't get it doesn't exactly fill me with confidence... but yay that you did find him in the end.

Wonder if I am brave enough for such a profile ...

Snape - geocaching looks cool! I like the way that you have to leave something behind for the next person to find - v good.

Fish slap please. Slap me!

So, when I met fireman I didn't fancy him. Maybe a tiny bit of me did, but definitely no more than 5%. So why am I now waiting for text messages...wondering if I've said the wrong thing...wtf?? Somehow my brain has managed to convince itself that I really do fancy him. This is following on from me being quite watery about meeting up with him again when he phoned me because I wasn't at all sure m
Anyway hopefully meeting next tues so will see. I know what it is...his texts are always jokey and mildly flirty.

He is woo-ing you!

Scatty I agree. He is woo-ing you. That's lovely :)

Mild flirting is so much nicer than the blatantly obvious stuff. Or the stuff that starts off pervy and heads downhill into smut within 3 texts!

Hi. Happy New Year!

I am okay, felt a bit tearful about new year (first full year as newly divorced). Although my decision I still feel sad.

Am on sofa, planning to enter the fray end of Jan by joining Match I think.

Thanks. Maybe. I've got to stop myself from being ridiculous. Just go with the flow.
Has millipede communicated any more?

Scatty I think we need to mutually slap each other with the wet fish.

Spaceman has been talking about date 3. I now feel all over-excited and enthusiastic, like a particularly lively puppy Blush

Lol bant velvet and I will be prone to over excitement due to the fact we rarely get past date one. We may display random ill placed hysteria and be in need of slapping.
I'm just going to wait patiently and not check phone. Not check phone!!

Can't believe how fast you guys have moved today.

Walk on the moors sorted my hangover, but thank god my walking partner was in an even worse state and was happy to settle for 6 miles.

Tomorrow is the start of yet another OD foray !!

Scattylatte · 01/01/2013 23:33

Ok here is my OD update.

Fireman. Well, will see
Man who has a picture of an enourmous Yorkshire pudding on his profile. Exchanging messages.
Man who works in rubber. Have accidently deleted him but we were talking about food.
Millipede. Nothing since he said his mother was scared of his spider.
An engineer who wants to meet for a drink. I've said Sunday.

Yay woopsie - bet that cleared the cobwebs no problem!

And yay for Velvet too - he thinks you're a fox! Brilliant!

Am v pissed off with ex - my son is visiting him for a week (this happens maybe twice or three times a year and that is it as far as seeing him goes) and this is the second night he's been staying with ex's parents in this week because ex has a cold and his parents 'want to give him a bit of a pause'. Ffs. He spends his entire fucking life pausing when it comes to our son. And every time my son goes down there the same thing happens - he's got a cold; he's busy; he's tired; he can't cope etc etc and palms him off on his parents. I'm not exaggerating. Every. Single. Time. Not really looking for any answers as I have already LTB obv but honestly, that's pretty damn lame, isn't it? Our boy is lovely (well I guess I would say that wouldn't I?), not boisterous, very sweet and not difficult to look after at all.

I had my DC (6 and 4) for 4 days last week, and caught the lurgey off them, so we were all knocked out from it. Spent 3 days pretty much lying on the sofa bed with them, passing the boxes of tissues to blow our noses in turn, watching the Sound of Music and a peppa-pig-a-thon on DVD, with occasional runs to the kitchen by me to get some buttery jam on toast and cereal. Wouldn't change it for anything.

Wallison · 01/01/2013 23:44

See, Banta, that's what I would say was normal. Me and my son were ill in the run-up to Xmas - coldy, achey, tempy, miserable etc. It happens. I wouldn't have dreamt of passing him onto someone else and certainly not if I only saw him twice a year as it is (his choice). Fumefumefume.
