"nailing jelly" is genius

Velvet- yay for texting new man, he sounds promising Smile

VelvetSpoon · 24/12/2012 00:12

I love sushi...I'm only not talking about it because it will make me hungry!

Notthe good luck with the shops. At 2pm today they were bedlam. I am sure it will be a much less stressful experience at this time of night :)

VelvetSpoon · 24/12/2012 00:13

Can we include jelly-nailing in next thread title?

cafecito · 24/12/2012 00:16

mraloof is like nailing jelly so I totally relate! jelly nailing is a must

Yogagirl17 · 24/12/2012 00:19

Bant Fried sushi. Wrong. Just wrong. Don't do it. The whole point of sushi is that it is lovely and fresh. You want fried fish go to the chip shop! (Sorry I clearly have strong feelings about sushi that you have just unearthed)

Snape Sigh at wolverine. He'd definitely do if Josh Holloway and David Tenant are both unavailable. Fucked up about the ex, but would you really want to be in her shoes?

Velvet Nothing wrong with giving Cuthbert a chance but you should definitely ask him to step up a bit. And go on the other date too. Nothing to lose. Smile

Angelleta Ice skates is a great thing to treat yourself to! Unless your dead set on a brand new pair check out ebay, there's usually loads on there.

cafecito · 24/12/2012 00:19

Are you in London velvet? I know some great sushi places- one is a bit like nobu but does an infinity brunch on Sundays - wow

banta - how about dumplings? I recommend Beijing Dumpling in Soho, so yummy, it's kind of what you describe...

sorry, off topic..again.. I'm hungry...

VelvetSpoon · 24/12/2012 00:30

cafe I'm in the 'burbs, but only 20 mins or so from London by train...the idea of an infinity brunch is v tempting, may have to check that out in the New Year!

and dumplings, mmm....

I am starving now!

cafecito · 24/12/2012 00:46

It's called aqua it's off Regent Street, but I'd only recommend the brunch on a Sunday, a good date venue!

notthegrinch · 24/12/2012 01:50

We're back Xmas Grin
That was all pretty civilised, it was busy but not crazy and everyone was really jolly.
Brilliant Xmas Smile

ike1 · 24/12/2012 02:06

Bant it will be no surprise to you .....I want you wearing a full 70s bush for xmas...ta.x

48howdidthathappen · 24/12/2012 08:47

Nailing Jelly. Love it Grin

Velvet Give the new guy a chance. You have nothing to lose.

OWW Mr R&R is worth the wait. He did say perhaps he could come back early. I told him to keep his plans. We have plenty of time.
I told him he is 'The King'. He liked that alot Smile

The dreaded C word is almost upon us. So almost behind us.

Who will be here tonight?

48howdidthathappen · 24/12/2012 09:07

Not A happy xmas shopping experience. I am impressed.

Not too much cheese on the menu? Grin

notthegrinch · 24/12/2012 09:17

48 I bought a lot of cheese! I think it's a subconscious rebellion! Xmas Smile

VelvetSpoon · 24/12/2012 10:25

Much as I'd love subconscious rebellion cheese buying Grin to be in next thread title, I don't want you to suffer the thread title jinx notthe

New man (who still needs a name...) has been texting this morning. We have made up a game to play at the supermarket, having both realised we have forgotten vital items and have to brave the horror again shortly. It's nice :)

Nomorepain · 24/12/2012 11:01

Velvet - love it!! That is brilliant! Cuthbert who??

KirstyWirsty · 24/12/2012 11:03

Velvet sounds very promising!!

I'm waiting to find out if Mr Cheeky can get his on call switched for Hogmanay and if so we are going to go away for the night

It will beat last year's Hogmanay when I had just discovered proof of STBHX's affair and had flung him out .. so to be having fantastic sex with a lovely new man one year on is certainly a great improvement Grin

SevenSnapespearesSwimming · 24/12/2012 11:20

velvet this is great news!

Don't take this the wrong way, I say a picture of a very young jackie Collins the other day and it reminded me of you, all hair and eyelashes and damn sexy. I'll see if I can find it online.

Happy Christmas eve, everyone. I'm torn between loving Christmas and all the goodwill, and hating spending it with my family because they make me feel crap. I might well be here tonight, 48, hiding in my bedroom!

Velvet, lovely to hear you sounding so positive. I think both Jackie and Joan Collins were just beautiful when they were younger, Snape.

Kirsty, sounds like a great turnaround - fingers crossed for Mr Cheeky's on call getting swapped.

VelvetSpoon · 24/12/2012 12:17

Oh Snape I think JC was amazing when young, I'd love to look even half that good! you're far too kind really Blush

Well, I appear to have a date later this week. Am both Blush and Grin.

Even if I never see him again, he is quite the best looking bloke ever to have shown an interest in me. Which is something!

48howdidthathappen · 24/12/2012 12:25

Velvet Way to go Smile If I may. Do not go into this date thinking 'even if I never see him again'

Go thinking 'Are you feeling lucky mister' Wink Confidence is a massive part of attraction in my humble opinion.

KirstyWirsty · 24/12/2012 12:33

I agree 48 you need to go in to the date thinking 'Do I want to see YOU again' .. not the other way round Velvet!!

OhLittleTownofWesternWind · 24/12/2012 12:36

Velvet brilliant stuff! Knock him dead you glamour puss you.

I will be here tonight - on my own when the children are in bed.

More positively, following on from meeting my dcs yesterday, LM is out for a meal with me, my oldest friend and her husband later this week. Moving along nicely I think ... These things seem quite significant to me. Am I right?

Thinking of dyeing my hair red (light strawberry blonde type of red) as a change from blonde. Natural colour's somewhere in between so I think it's new year, new look. Used to have it pillar box red but couldn't pull that off nowadays.

48howdidthathappen · 24/12/2012 13:15

OWW Sounds very positive. Sex is the easy part. Merging of the real stuff can be the tricky part.

Strawberry blonde is beautiful. Maybe bias as its my DD hair colour. I am not in the least bit jealous Grin

I may have told Mr R&R in a moment of passion/madness. You can call me Babe. Fuck you can call me what the fuck you like Blush

MsArsebiscuit · 24/12/2012 13:41

Go Velvet !

Kirsty, fingers crossed for a marvellous Hogmany.

OWW - sounds like real progress to me too, how lovely.

48, I envy your shagged-up-ness. ( when is Mr F U being delivered ? )

I'm waving to everybody and trying to keep my spirits up with port, cheese and sparkly nail polish, with limited success. Bah humbug.
