OK. H just back from a weekend away with his friends, doing a sporting activity.

I found some women's knickers that are not mine, and not my DC's, openly left out on our bedroom dressing table.

Has anybody any ideas of what could be an appropriate explanation for this ? At the moment, I am struggling to see one. I am asking him about it later when the DC are in bed.

No other signs, or history, of playing away, btw. Just this.

Can we stop mentioning bleached gussets now please, I'm eating!

Op seriously, the fact that they were left in full view makes it a lot less sinister IMO

Houseofplain · 06/08/2012 20:30

Im gonna get it out there.... I have seem men's boxers who's gussets have been bleached. I think it's do with sweat etc.

HecateHarshPants · 06/08/2012 20:31

Vaginal secretions do not bleach gussets.

It is the ammonia from little dribbles of pee that does that.

so if you are bleaching - you are leaking Grin

OP - he would have to be very stupid indeed to leave them in full view if they were a souvenir from an encounter, don't you think? Possibly some stupid dressing up while he was away or something.

Ask him.

Jemma1111 · 06/08/2012 20:31

I find it hard to see how he could have innocently , unknowingly collected a pair of women's pants in his bag ,

I would say that he's either trying to tell you something in a round about way or another woman is telling you something by hiding them in his bag for you to find

RedWhiteAndBlu · 06/08/2012 20:31

How did he travel to the weekend?

There are any number of ways he could have picked them up - loads of stuff all over the car seat, wrong stuff picked up, from anther guys bag, if it was bags on a coach a woman put her pants in the wrong bag on the floor etc etc.

flubba · 06/08/2012 20:32

If they were from a fling, surely they wouldn't be splayed (ewww, sorry!) out on your dressing table, especially with his bag unpacked.

Maybe he thinks they're yours?

fluffyraggies · 06/08/2012 20:32

We have a single black wooly men's sock and a high viz vest which have taken up residence in our house with no explanation.

DH is Hmm about it - but God knows where they came from.

I hope your DH gets home soon OP. Full of suspense here Grin

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 06/08/2012 20:32

I can't see a woman would put bleached pants in the married blokes bag.

Surely she would put the sexiest pants she had in there Confused

Houseofplain · 06/08/2012 20:33

Eugh...my ex used to piss himself?!

bleaches brain

RedWhiteAndBlu · 06/08/2012 20:33

If another woman had deliberately left them there a) No Way would she have left a pair with a faded gusset, and b) he wouldn't have then left them out on the dressing table!

The OP didn't find them hidden in his bag!

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 06/08/2012 20:33

*her married blokes

mumblecrumble · 06/08/2012 20:34

personally I would go with innocent prank/mistake/thought they were yours rather than afair.

Unless he is reeeeeally stupid he wouldn;t leave them lying around. He would hide them surely!

Where is he now? Talk with him

TherapeuticVino · 06/08/2012 20:34

manky old pants, and he's left them out in the open? You have nothing to worry about!

usualsuspect · 06/08/2012 20:35

If he left them on the dressing table he thinks they are yours

Newtothisstuff · 06/08/2012 20:35

Marking my spot Blush

JustFabulous · 06/08/2012 20:36

Or a double bluff.

I have no clie, clearly, but it doesn't sound suspicious.

Sockitandsee · 06/08/2012 20:36

Deffo a mistake! Deffo ask him!

ImperialBlether · 06/08/2012 20:37

Innocent prank? This is an adult man, not a teenager!

Houseofplain · 06/08/2012 20:38

I think they mean one of their friends could have done it and planted them...

MimsyBorogroves · 06/08/2012 20:39

I think he's picked them up by mistake.

MrsTomHardy · 06/08/2012 20:40

Just ask him, see what his reaction is

doinmummy · 06/08/2012 20:42

Pleeeeeeease put them on your head OP

YusMilady · 06/08/2012 20:42

Size 14 black Sloggis? Are they mine?

Babyrabbits · 06/08/2012 20:43

Mistake, got to be. I aquired a large t shirt, not dh's.??!

I'm guessing an overnight guest left it, maybe your knickers were the same.

MorrisZapp · 06/08/2012 20:45

Whoever they belong to, she's actually a size 12.

Damn you, Sloggi.
