OK. H just back from a weekend away with his friends, doing a sporting activity.

I found some women's knickers that are not mine, and not my DC's, openly left out on our bedroom dressing table.

Has anybody any ideas of what could be an appropriate explanation for this ? At the moment, I am struggling to see one. I am asking him about it later when the DC are in bed.

No other signs, or history, of playing away, btw. Just this.

And you haven't asked him yet because......?

PrincessOfSnails · 06/08/2012 21:48

No no. Put the knickers on and THEN show him the thread.

lifeisneversimple · 06/08/2012 21:48

I'm sure there is a perfectly good explaination... There's been many accounts of random underwear and other item seemlingly appearing from no where!! I know I've had the same thing happen here!

ABitOfAPuzzle · 06/08/2012 21:49

Malificence, the dc are around. I would have to beckon him upstairs and at the moment that seems too dramatic. I am not having a rushed, whispered conversation about this, and I am not asking him in front of the dc.

Have the dcs gone to bed yet? I don't know how you can stand not to have asked him yet op, you're more patient than I am! Hope there's an innocent explanation Smile (I reckon there is)

Some random knickers appeared in our bedroom once. Black, size 16. I'm a size 10. I was very shocked for days. DH denied all knowledge. We did find out where they were from about a week later. Grin

BonnieBumble · 06/08/2012 21:54

Are they definitely not yours? They could be from years back and were in the suitcase that your dh took away with him.

Poor old ds (7) went off to Beavers Camp the other week with chocolate flavoured condoms in his wash bag. Thankfully he didn't open that compartment. It was an old wash bag of dh's that hadn't seen the light of day in 15 years.

ABitOfAPuzzle · 06/08/2012 21:55

ShowOfHands, where did they come from ?

doinmummy · 06/08/2012 21:56

Right we need a list of all females size 14 ish who have visited your property.

Maybe they have had down the trouser leg 'ole knicker loss situation and your DH has just picked them up thinking they're yours.

ABitOfAPuzzle · 06/08/2012 21:56

I can categorically say I have never owned a pair of knickers like this

The woman at the dry cleaning counter found some flimsy knickers of mine in the bundle of DHs shirts I handed her and she seemed to think they must belong to an OW. She started blushing, whispering and pointing, it was absolutely priceless Grin.

I once left a camisole on a overnight job.
They sent it later, laundered and tied with a ribbon.

A friend's Mum was driving a v long way to stay with friends and we offered her a teabreak at ours to break up her journey. When she arrived she looked awful and was starting with a migraine. She gets migraines which need quick meds and a sleep and so she went to bed at ours for a couple of hours. On waking we offered her the use of the shower to refresh, she had some pancakes and a drink and went on her merry way. A couple of weeks later we found the underwear down the back of the chest in our room where we keep towels and didn't put two and two together. Until my friend rang and said she was sorry but she thought her Mum might have accidentally left her knickers in our bedroom. Quickly worked out that she'd changed her clothes, I'd told her to help herself to a towel from the chest and they probably just fell down the back then. They were deffo hers and she was extremely embarrassed.

Oh look, they deleted the LiveWorld weblink explaining how LiveWorld plants 'moderators' (ie forum users in disguise) into threads like this just to keep a thread popular thus drawing traffic to the site and increasing the site's revenue, then we all find out the thread is a hoax anyway.
