How many men / women have you slept with?

Assuming you can remember that is.

Today for the first time ever I counted and it is 14 / 0*.

I am 35. This is just under 1 a year since I became sexually active (started late...4th term at uni). I'm not counting youthful messing about, I mean full sex.

This doesn't seem so many to me and obv its going to depend when you became monogamous anyway. But, I have seen articles that suggest a much lower figure, eg 7 for men 4 for women.

Am I a bit of a slapper (which I would be fine with, I enjoyed it) or are all these people just lying? I think the latter, because judging by who I have spoken to 14 is much more typical than 4.

Well on a long, boring car journey I counted them up.

37/0. I thought it was about 30 but as I went through periods of my life in my head more kept popping up that i had forgotten . I was glad when I reached the end, there was a few surprises in there.

If anyone has the time to work out what the average is for everyone that has posted it would be intetesting. Clearly it will be more than 4!

I'm depressed!

OMG, I just counted for the first time... If I only include actuall "winky in woohoo" as sex then my total is 6!!! I was in one relationship for about 15 years and another for going on 5 years and I'm 40. I didn't have sex until I was 18. WOW.

I'm 21, lost my virginity at 19 and slept with 6 men and 0 women.

3/0 and the first 2 I had long term relationships with and the 3rd I married so i do hope that is my 'forever' number!!

more than thirty, less than forty i can't remember. I have only slept with one man in the last 20 years though - i started young, im 42.

DP is no. 50 and I definitely don't intend on there being any more - not only is it a good round number to stop on, but he's the best I've ever had.

Approx. 38. I am 47 and was quite frisky for a while in my early 20s before I met DH. Most I don't regret, some I struggle to remember and a couple I wish I could forget (nothing ghastly, just rubbish sex). Happy with my number though... although not entirely sure I haven't left one or two out.

Hi girls just to give a male perspective on this.
I'm 62, was married for 33 years been single for 8.
I was married at 21 yrs old and had 1 affair during that time.
At college before I married I was rampant for 3 years and had over 30 girls in that time, most of them short relationships others one night stands. In those days the pill was the common form of contraception and HIV hadn't been invented. I am only counting PIV and not hand or blow jobs. The girls at Teacher Training College outnumbered the men 3/1. Hallelujah!!!
Since I became single and discovered internet dating the world has been my lobster and I started out shagging everything that moved but then had a relationship with a lovely girl for 2 years. After that I went mad again for a while and now I'm in a strange relationship with a single girl who is 48. I never mess around when I am in a relationship.
She has led a sheltered life and only had 5 lovers before me.
I've never had any kind of sexual encounter with another male, but I can understand why so many of you women have tried it with same sex partners. It's because womens bodies are beautiful and where's the harm? Another girl isn't gonna get you up the duff.
