How many men / women have you slept with?

Assuming you can remember that is.

Today for the first time ever I counted and it is 14 / 0*.

I am 35. This is just under 1 a year since I became sexually active (started late...4th term at uni). I'm not counting youthful messing about, I mean full sex.

This doesn't seem so many to me and obv its going to depend when you became monogamous anyway. But, I have seen articles that suggest a much lower figure, eg 7 for men 4 for women.

Am I a bit of a slapper (which I would be fine with, I enjoyed it) or are all these people just lying? I think the latter, because judging by who I have spoken to 14 is much more typical than 4.

Between the ages of 17 and 30, it was only 0/2. When I split with the (loony, cheating) GF I'd been with for 8 years at age 30, I went a bit crazy and was up to 0/21 2 years later when I met DW, who became the last. And still is nearly 17 years later.

Am 51. Married to DH 30 years, been together 35 years. Not embarassed. Not NC'd. Very happy with my numbers. Clearly, I am one of SGB's 'lucky' ones who found a good match first time round.

ElizabethX - Yes, better beyond adequate description. I know myself more, I am far more comfortable with my body, and my partners have been much more sexually aware, experimental, and uninhibited co-conspirators.

I'm also aware of what I still want to face in terms of my own past and I have had two partners who have been willing to face that with me - it's really a process of learning to let go bit by bit.

34/2 - only DH in the last 28 years though. I'm a great believer in sowing your wild oats before you get married

At least 30. All men. Only 1 in last six years. I'm 43. I've had some sex, some of it was pretty good, some rubbish. Very happy now though - and sex is less important to me, oddly enough.

2/5 it is quite weird that I ended up with a male DP as I am generally more attracted to women.

Oh and I'm 28. With DP since I was 16, but we had an open relationship before we had the DDs. No time now!

2 brief flings after my divorce, followed by 2 years of celibacy!

This thread's made me feel pretty good, hate a lot of the circs of things that have happened to me, the number and the lack of control I've had over some of it has made me feel really slaggy but I'm unsung out I am on the very low end of people my age, makes me feel less damaged IYSWIM.
