I cant believe it. Ive been reading/ lurking on the recent secret phone finding threads and now ive found one in dh's car. Fuck. Trying not to panic.

I went to my yoga class in his car as he wanted to use mine to take kids out in as it had all the carseats in.

So i was looking for a pen in glove box and found this cheap looking little newish phone. Never seen it before. Cant think why he would have it. He has a blackberry which he uses for work etc emailing. Is very open with it ie i use it when mine dead etc.

The phone battery is dead so can turn it on.

Ive taken it. Put sim in mine but didt seem to make any difference, all my stuff was still there, couldnt work out how to see what was stored on the sim.

Any ideas as to how to get info off it very welcome.

Am hoping theres an innocent explanation.
We've been getting on better than ever recently, felt like we've been getting a bit of the old spark back after a tough few months.... Oh god

I'm intrigued to know what Arimaa knows how can you link the 2 threads.

Glad it's worked out OP.

Lueji · 13/04/2012 20:14

Or she is the troll. Hmm

Happy it had an innocent explanation.

Although a healthy dose of distrust is possibly good. Being too trusting can be a bad thing too. Wink

fussbucket · 13/04/2012 20:28

Hi mebythesea - so relieved! However, now worrying that maybe it's your stepfather's secret phone... are any of the OAPs hot singletonsGrin?

PassTheBaileys · 13/04/2012 20:29

Happy for you OP

springydaffs · 13/04/2012 20:49

phew very relieved to hear it was nothing at all. what a huge relief.

very very Hmm about the ageist post. very pissed off with ageism tbf - the last acceptable prejudice that people flaunt like it's nothing too serious. Why shouldn't old people have mobiles?? for goodness sake, they have a mobile for the same reason you have a mobile

sorry for hijack but couldn't let that go OP - apologies, and very relieved for you.

galletti · 13/04/2012 20:55

Yes Fairharied you are ageist.

Babylon1 · 13/04/2012 20:57

I do like a happy ending Smile pleased for you xx

galletti · 13/04/2012 20:57

Crosspost with Springdaffs but agree with everything you said.

OP, really pleased it all turned out well for you!

Bohica · 13/04/2012 21:12

Phew that is great news Smile

Chocaholics · 13/04/2012 21:17

OP that is great news, although agree you definately need to look at your trust issues as not trusting your partner in the long run will definately spell the end of your relationship. Really don't think I could continue to be with someone who didn't trust me and thought the worst.

It's really nice to see a thread where someone hasn't been cheating on their partner for once!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 13/04/2012 21:24

My 75 year old parents have mobile phones! My mum texts all the time, my dad can barely answer the damn thing.

I was actually being ironic that the contact was "most of the OAPs" in the village... you think statistically all the OAPs in a village have a mobile?

It just shocked me, that's all :)

Sorry if you're offended, wasn't meant personally.

losttheflickumdickumagain · 15/04/2012 20:03

Really glad it was innocent Smile and don't feel bad or daft for wondering, anyone would after reading threads in here Smile.

AnyFucker · 15/04/2012 20:18

just found your update, OP

glad to see it was innocent after all

just a sec though, I wouldn''t catigate yourself too much, you must have had a semi-conscious reason to jump to the worst conclusions, and you already said he had "form"

I believe it is innocent as you say, just mind you don't switch off your spidey senses entirely (that would always be a bad idea)

AnyFucker · 15/04/2012 20:19

*castigate
