I've blocked him and hidden my profile.

He mentioned a twin sister so I asked if I would know her, him having said we went to the same school, I also said I was intrigued as to who he is, wondering if I might know him from school. He didn't reply but went offline. He has been very polite up to now, saying goodnight and earlier today letting me know he was going into a meeting so it seems strange that he should just disappear.

I have also just realised that my birthday/date, town I live in and school I attended are on my FB profile. The suspicious part of me is wondering if he somehow found me on there.

I don't know, but he's blocked now so hopefully that's an end to this funny feeling in my gut.

Did I tell you I'm picking up my cat tomorrow??

By the way, when I asked him how he came about such a change of career he said it was a long story which involved Hep A, weapons of mass destruction and a broken back.

I feel exhausted and I've only been reading it all!!

I don't think you'll hear any more from him Time. If it's any comfort I've happened upon two a bit like that where it all went too co-incidental and weird. They never turned out to be stalkers.

Time, I don't think you'll hear from him again either. Though you might want to change your FB settings - I have DOB, school etc only visible to friends. That's just by chance tbh, but having realised tonight that the stupid unusual spelling of my first name makes me ridiculously easy to find on FB (just from that without even my surname), it's prob a good thing that I don't have any other info visible!

How lovely to get a new addition to your home today, I would love to have a cat but I'm allergic sadly

Had a nice phone chat with a very nice man that has 6 cats last night! Enormous muscles (arms measure 22in!) very attractive and easy to chat to on the phone. Only thing I'm wary about is he is a widower but also lost his only child too, I'm guessing he will be one hurt man with a fair bit of baggage

But one phone call isn't exactly anything to write home about so will see if he comes back to me today

As for Mr Strange, well, I googled his username last night too, just to see if anything came up. It didn't bring up anything on him but apart from the obvious 42m as in millions it brought up a military rifle so I am assuming he has named himself after his gun!

Also, after reading your post taken from the POF form MrsC I compared those parts of his profile to mine and they are practically a perfect match, the only difference is I have more interests than his but he has the same interests as me, iyswim. Definitely something fishy about him and I do feel better now I've blocked and hidden. As for facebook, I thought my settings were private but they keep changing things and that alters everything. I can't even find where to make everything private now

Time on FB next to your name in the top right hand corner you should see 'home' and then a little down arrow. Click the arrow and click privacy settings from the drop down. There with once click you can set your default privacy to friends only, or customise it more in depth.

I just have everything friends only.

Although I have the Beta version of the timeline profile so mine might be different to other accounts... but that's where everything is for me anyway :o

Thanks lubey I've just spent the last five minutes trying to set it to friends only but it keeps reverting back to friends of friends despite me saving it! It's all very different to how it used to be.

Found it! In how you connect. At the moment it's set that anyone can look up my name and profile info!! That is about to change, pronto!

Zany, he might just not be much of one for texting - how much was he texting you before the first date? I'd only be a bit if you'd had much more contact before the first, but I've never made it to the second date tbh so am no expert!

Fri's date is still texting me. As it is quite clear what he's after, and as Fri draws closer the nerves are setting in And I am currently 'off games' (as an Ex of mine used to put it!) so he may not be getting any action anyway, which I prob should let him know.

Very true SPonge, he wasn't really one for lots of texts/emails before the first date. I'm probably comparing it to the guy from POF that I went out with for a few months at the beginning of the year as he used to text constantly.

Time my Red Flag Man was like your military man. He was Special Forces and was stationed in Afghan when he was Skyping me. He was on GMT even though local time was different. And he was extremely high octane with loads of hobbies and qualifications and business interests. And SOOO exciting (swoon) But a Loser and destined to make me unhappy. So he had to go.

Trust your gut. Even if it is all true he is unlikely to be capable of a normal loving relationship, which he is telling you on his profile.

Thanks for all of your words on Mr Strange. I'm so pleased that you feel he was odd too and even more please that my red flag radar is in good working order. I was actually very freaked out by it all last night, the flight or fight thing kicked in and I felt quite ill. But, at least it shows I'm in a good place and not likely to fall for another toxic bloke. I didn't even give him the polite goodbye, I just blocked him and hid. Anyway, I'm sticking to the cat for now, much safer!
