I'm not currently wearing any tights or stockings etc, but will be later and they are slipping even with tacky feet. Hahaa... someone else in S&B just suggested fabric plaster so will try that.

Morning Smile

Time totally agree with you about standards. I have certain criteria that is non negotiable and will stay that way. I'm not completely inflexible but there are certain things I won't be swayed on. I'd rather have a few dates that stand a chance of going somewhere then loads that won't go anywhere.

To those who have dates tonight...good luck Smile

Btw does anyone know how to fix shift keys, neither of mine are working.

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:11

Grin yeah, just go straight for the block, no point in wasting your time or your wit, it would just go straight over his head.

I got contacted by T h e o r i g i n a l p l a y e r when I was on POF. Oh my! What a profile that is. Plus I think his pic should have 'posed by model' below it.

I've not had any carp pics but plenty of guys leaning on cars, that doesn't do it for me either. One pig ugly guy had a photo of himself laid on a bed, longways (so that his feet were nearest the camera iyswim) he was wearing very tight speedos and was obviously very 'excited'!! Put me right off my Whole Nut it did Hmm

Zanywany · 30/09/2011 11:12

Quick question girls. If your on a date and he seems that he is OK and not an axe murderer would you let him drop you off at your house at the end of a night. I have always been, possibly too careful, and not let them see where I live until a few dates in but wondering if I am being over cautios (can't spell today)

hellsbells76 · 30/09/2011 11:15

Nooo. No way. Maybe after a few dates but not the first. Axe murderers (and general weirdo/stalker types) can usually hide it quite well to start with!

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 11:15

Yes Zany, I've even had them come in and stay the night in my more... err... casual days. And I've been dropped off back at mine many a time. If you have any bad feeling at all then don't, but that's only ever happened to me once where during the date I thought "I really don't want him knowing where I live"

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:16

Phew ChaoticAngel I'm so pleased someone else thinks the same way as me, sometimes I think I may be being too fussy but I just can't help it. I'm far too pedantic to ever date someone who can't spell for a start! Grin

lubey I find my shoes slip because my feet slip towards the front of the shoe leaving a gap at the back. If the plaster doesn't work would you be able to cope with a bit of tissue packed into the toe of the shoe to help push your foot back? Crikey, the trouble we girls go to! I bet your bloke hasn't given any thought to his outfit yet! By the way, make sure you check his shoes, shiny/clean shoes are always a good indicator Wink

PoppaRob · 30/09/2011 11:16

Ok. Taking notes... hellsbells76... the term Girl was offensive to you.
I prefer to use the person's actual name in chat most of the time, but if I'm feeling comfortable I may use a term of endearment like kiddo or sunshine. Is this a big red flag? As bad as servo flowers for example?

hellsbells76 · 30/09/2011 11:18

GOD I just searched for him Time and then remembered he'd messaged me ages ago too! Nasty nasty nasty.

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:19

I've been dropped off at home and I am ultra cautious but nothing bad has ever happened to me. It depends on how much my feet are hurting! Grin

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 11:19

I don't personally mind Girl too much Poppa, it was the context and tone he was using it in with hellsbells mail.

Kiddo is a bit dodgy but sunshine isn't (depending how it's used!)

OP posts:
TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:22

hellsbells he is truly awful isn't he? I wondered if it was a cheeky advert for a male escort business he runs.

PoppaRob, I don't like girl either and I detest hun, I immediately block any man who calls me hun!! (boak)

stayforthekids1 · 30/09/2011 11:23

I am not a fan of girl. I didnt get my periods and pop out four babies to be referred to as a 'girl' but then I am rather odd :) I am also pedantic time, one of the things I like about S, is that he is very articulate and can spell...not a hint of text speak in sight. Phew!

hellsbells76 · 30/09/2011 11:23

Yeah, it's all in the context. Someone who wasn't being a twat could probably melt me with a well-timed 'girl'...

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:23

I like being called a lady but that seems to offend some, but I like it, because I am a lady Grin

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 11:24

Oh my god. Just looked at that profile. 1) Married 2) Bet he really isn't all that much to look at 3) Misogynistic twat. Much more than that too but I'd be here all day Shock

OP posts:
TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:24

You are not odd stay you just have standards Smile

hellsbells76 · 30/09/2011 11:24

at hun. It brings out the Bill Hicks in me ('where's the tower, where's the gun, where's the tower, where's the gun?')

PoppaRob · 30/09/2011 11:25

And also... photos... I have one of me playing guitar on my profile... not to be a poser and say look at me I play guitar, but to show that I'm an overweight bastard with more chins than a HongKong phone book. I see it as an honest photo. My main pic is me in a suit at my daughter's wedding, but that's not "normal" me hence the guitar one to bring balance to The Force. Is this something I should delete?

hellsbells76 · 30/09/2011 11:25

I almost feel sorry for him. He's put a hell of a lot of effort into coming across as a misogynistic prick...

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 11:28

Poppa, nooo your pics are good. Stop worrying!

OP posts:
TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:28

No PoppaRob I like the guitar one, that tells me that you have an artistic side, you are chilled out and I would find you approachable from that photo. It's the suited and booted photo's I personally don't like but that's just my opinion Smile You know, some guys actually post photo's of themselves in their own wedding suits, stood next to the now ex wife!! Yes, indeed they do!

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:31

I suppose he is being honest hellsbells Grin He should change his name to The Original Narcissist

stayforthekids1 · 30/09/2011 11:31

who, what and why havent I seen?!

PoppaRob · 30/09/2011 11:32

So I should swap the suit one for the one from last night with Charlie Bear and the Nerf gun? Wink
