Ok. I think I'm going for purple. Just got a nice message from him and feeling a bit better about it all.

Zany, of course you have! How could anyone let those knobs great catches go?

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 10:08

Ok, purple or black skirt with the purple top? My shoes are purple too so would it be too matchy matchy all together?

I've got a date tonight, picnic at the beach with some beers, everything's feels right about this man Grin good luck everyone who has a date tonight Grin

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 10:11

Lubey, try all the outfits on a go for whichever one you feel most comfortable in. On a first date the last thing you want to be is uncomfortable in your clothes. And no, that isn't a good enough reason to get yer kit off if he invites you back for 'coffee' Grin

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 10:11

Good luck dirtydawg :o

I would go with jeans tonight - it's still cool-ish in the evenings despite the hot days. My date staple is skinny jeans and kneelength boots (my legs are my only best asset) with a nice top.

BTW thanks everyone for reassuring me I wasn't being oversensitive about the pictures thing. It really grinds my gears and it was good to know I'm not the only one!

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 10:12

That sounds like a lovely date DirtyDawg You're not seeing PoppaRob are you? Grin

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 10:13

Time I think that would be the purple. Or the jeans. Oh i don't bloody know. lol I will try on and see.

There will be no 'coffee' at either of our places tonight, he lives 20 mins drive away and my DD will be home so it will just be restaurant and goodbyes.

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 10:14

Does the purple top go with the jeans? Best of both Worlds?

I'm liking the sound of your date, I can't wait for the update! Grin

PoppaRob · 30/09/2011 10:18

lubey, my vote is jeans and strappy top.

I'm sure I'm atypical, but the heels and meshy top thing screams middle-aged dominatrix to me. Then again I think most women look their sexiest best barefoot in cargo pants and a T-shirt, the casual yet windswept and interesting look.

stayforthekids1 · 30/09/2011 10:28

Im with time, try them all on and whatever you feel most confident in, wear. If you are confident in what you are wearing, you will instantly look much more appealing.

Dawg - will look forward to seeing how your date goes!

I will be spending my evening working then babysitting my mother on her work night out..and texting S. Was checking how much we have text in the last 4 days...298 messages sent...288 received!

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 10:32

It's a very girly ultra feminine top Poppa, modern floral (but subtle) print, v necked and with a few strategic frills. It just happens to be made of meshy stuff. It's not see through or anything like that and is as far from dominant looking as it's possible to get :)

I'll see if I can find a pic, it's old though so won't be on the store website any more...

Time no it wouldn't go with the jeans really, trousers it would do but not jeans...

That's lovely Stay sings 'Love is in the air'

Sounds like a brilliant date Dawg

Where's Watch wonder if she has some date news for us

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 10:35

Your top sounds lovely lubey and if you feel good in it then you should wear it. Your date will be nervous too you know, he probably won't even notice what you are wearing Grin

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 10:38

Nope can't find anything remotely like it. But I promise it's lovely and I always get complimented on it when I wear it.

OP posts:
PoppaRob · 30/09/2011 10:39

time's right lubey... we blokes do not see any of that. Smile - eyes - boobs - when you get up to go to the loo we check out the arse. A bit of embroidery or pattern on the back pockets of the jeans is always good to catch out attention... but I'm sure you already knew that! Wink

hellsbells76 · 30/09/2011 10:48

Hmmm. Reply from 'more pictures guy'. Title 'Don't be daft Girl!'

"Good morning from *!

The "VET" wont be lifting your lips to inspect the teeth at the market! I did laugh at that...anyway, if one doesnt ask...and in terms of continuing, I dont have a pre-selection test or other alterior motive for assessment of a Girl!

Anyway, Im still game if you are...if not, then I wish you well and hope you find you're man...

Beautiful day down here...

x*

I was almost swayed for a moment then realised on rereading that (apart from the terrible spelling and grammar) there's invalidation of my feelings, sexism (patronising use of 'girl') and no apology, even for unintended offence, all in one go. Red flags everywhere. That'll be a block then!

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 10:57

Damn right hellsbells on all counts. NEXT!

Ok, purple top, black skirt and heels it is. Just tried on and it's nice and flattering considering the weight gain that was bugging me. Only thing is the heels slip slightly at the back when I walk... but I LOVE them and they go so well with this outfit. Does any product exist that I can use the stop them slipping? Shall I ask that in S&B instead?

OP posts:
Zanywany · 30/09/2011 10:58

Definate block.

I've just received another stupid email that says ' If I am not what you are looking for just say so' and then he has pictures of loads of fish he has caught as one of his pictures.

I am so lucky to be getting all these gems at the moment.

Zanywany · 30/09/2011 10:59

how about a thicj, cushioned plater stuck to the inside of the shoe Lubey

TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:00

Ooh I'm pleased you weren't swayed hellsbells He's a minger! I would have blocked him for his spelling and grammar alone. I have a test, if I find my nose going up and my top lip curling while reading a message then it's a block! Grin

hellsbells76 · 30/09/2011 11:01

Jeez, what is it with the fish pictures? Have any of them actually met a woman, ever? I don't know a single one who would think 'Wow, he caught a 3ft carp! That's the man for me!'

No idea on the heels, sorry. S&B might be your girls.

lubeybooby · 30/09/2011 11:02

That might be a winner zany... will try it.

OP posts:
TimeForMeIsFree · 30/09/2011 11:02

Best thing I find to stop shoes slipping is to wear no stockings. I tried heel grips but they don't work for me, 'tacky' feet are better Grin

hellsbells76 · 30/09/2011 11:03

hahaha Time, yes I found myself doing the Elvis lip curl at 'alterior' and 'you're' too. I was going to reply curtly and then block but I've decided to just block instead. NEXT!
