No reply from 'more pictures' bloke. But have had a msg from a seriously fit 26 year old (I'm 35). I asked if I'm not a bit elderly for him and he said 'I don't think so. Do you?'. Mmmm...this could be fun...

LittleHousebytheRiver · 29/09/2011 22:14

Hi dawg I think POF is okay as long as you aren't feeling too fragile.

My favourite loon was the one who wanted a woman to give him a roof over his head and feed him so he didn't have to live with his mother. He was into Japanese Rope Bondage and sent me some lovely links (not!). When he told me about his enuresis problem I fled...

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 29/09/2011 22:19

I was on Match for a while but the membership lapsed at the end of last month.

I was in contact with someone on there and have him on my fb but we kind of lost contact. Before we lost contact every conversation we had seemed to go...

Him; Are you romantic,
Are you tactile
Do you like kissing

...and so on. If the conversation managed include anything else it was me who initiated it. A couple of times he phoned me but I was unable to get to my phone in time, couldn't find it at the bottom of my bag Grin. I'd phone back and after a couple of minutes it would be 'Can I phone you back, I have to do x, y, z'

He messaged me on fb the other day to see if I wanted to talk but I didn't get it straight away as I had come onto mn just after thanking him for my birthday wishes. Now I'm not sure if I want to contact him tbh

DirtyDawg · 29/09/2011 22:20

It's just that the bloke I have met seems absolutely perfect for me, we messaged each other on the 19th, had our first date on the 25th, we have met 3 times since then and have our 2nd date tomorrow, it all just seems too good to be true, anyone else had this?

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 29/09/2011 22:23

Shiney hope you get well soon.

hells I was contacted by a 24yr old the other day on Smooch, although I haven't heard from him since I mentioned I was looking for a job. I'm 40 btw

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 29/09/2011 22:24

Dirty enjoy it while you can. You never know, he may just be the one Grin

stayforthekids1 · 29/09/2011 22:25

Man I cant wait to keep my ankles warm with my knickers in two weeks time! Grin Finally something I can maybe advise a little on...for my whole weeks knowledge!

Seaside...an hour is nothing. Really. Try ten hours! Different situation for me though maybe, I have known him a long time, purely on line and chatted a lot as friends for that time. Seriously though, the LDR works great for me. Whilst he is not here, I can be how I want to be, not shave my legs, allow my lady garden to flourish, hog the duvet from the spiders, watch brokeback mountain, drink wine and not have to share it...and text all day long, dying to see him and enjoying the feeling. Then before he arrives, the clothes shop, the hair removal from eyebrows down (I dont remove my eyebrows, obviously!) then butterflies, the thought of just being in his company...absence makes the heart grow fonder yes? An hour to me is not a LDR...but then I think some types of people can handle them better than others. Maybe in a good few months time, I will fall madly in love and hate it. Or maybe I wont. But there is no rush! No pressure!

Ahem. So. More wine anyone?!

stayforthekids1 · 29/09/2011 22:27

Grin That reads all wrong. I look forward to his company more than clothes and waxing!

DirtyDawg · 29/09/2011 22:30

chaotic I am enjoying it, the first date was fabulous, Thai restaurant then karaoke bar, I love singing Grin then we went on a walk along the beach, he sweep me up for a lovely kiss, made my toes curl a bit actually, can't help thinking I'm either the luckiest lady on earth or it's all going to come crashing round my ears, we have sent over 600 texts to each other as well and he lives less than a mile from me Grin

Zanywany · 29/09/2011 22:37

Very true hates

Hope you feel better soon Shiney

Do sainsburys still do single nights?

Isn't watch on a date tonight

I did meet a very genuine guy on POF Seaside, unfortunately not for me but he wasn't after just sex - there are some out there

Zanywany · 29/09/2011 22:42

It all sounds really good Dirty just because its good doesn't mean it will all come crashing down

DirtyDawg · 29/09/2011 22:45

zany have had some truly terrible relationships and am scared to death I've picked another wanker, how the hell do you tell, he seems genuine enough, I don't quite know what to make of it all Sad

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 29/09/2011 22:53

Maybe you have to kiss a lot of wankers before finding the right one...who knows Grin

DirtyDawg · 29/09/2011 22:55

Grin maybe, I married the first one Sad

stayforthekids1 · 29/09/2011 22:59

when it comes to relationships/love whatever, I think the hardest part is accepting you will always have to be vulnerable to a degree, to let someone in. I dont think there is any real proper way to know if you have picked another wanker or not. Its a risk like most things in life I guess.

PoppaRob · 29/09/2011 23:21

Spot on stay. If you never take the risk you end up being the crazy cat lady.

stayforthekids1 · 29/09/2011 23:25

ah yes, I liked a page on fb the other day...lying on the floor naked screaming adele lyrics at your 27 cats Grin lets not end up like that!

S and I just did 'the talk'. Guess I have a 'proper' new man! Now...just to get you rabble sorted :)

DirtyDawg · 29/09/2011 23:30

I suppose you do have to take a leap of faith, I certainly don't want to end up as a crazy cat lady Grin

ChaoticAngelofSamhain · 29/09/2011 23:39

Oh, I've done the crazy cat lady bit Grin Used to have 4 cats, now down to 1.

stayforthekids1 · 29/09/2011 23:51

I have two cats. And I am definitely crazy. I do sing to them too, but not adele. Often.

stayforthekids1 · 29/09/2011 23:52

Actually. Where are my cats?!

shiney, how about you text him and feel him out a bit? just something simple to let him know you took it as a joke but now it's a bit creepy?
