1000 replies

Mouseface · 12/07/2011 15:47

Hello, I'm Mouse Smile

Welcome to the Brave Babe's Bus. This is a bus full of drinkers old and new, sober and not, and those who are somewhere in between.

We are all at different levels of sober so you can bet that one of us has walked in your shoes.

If you want advice and support then you're in the right place.

Come take a seat or just lurk, we're happy to have you along for the ride. Smile

And here is a link to the last thread so you can catch up on the journey so far HERE

Any plans for when you get back home SAF, have you a good book to read, or would you have time to tackle the tiling, anything you have recorded to watch?

SAF come straight back here and tell us that you're home. Think of us as your AA meeting. What time can we expect you? I'll be here to say hi.

Afternoon Babes

How are we all in general? Other than fighting the daily battle?

Well, what a night I have had. Nemo was up for about an hour so I got into his bed to soothe him when DD came in with horrific period pains. Sad

I really hoped that she wouldn't turn out like me but so far, it's looking as though she will be having painful periods. So I administered pain killers, a hot water bottle and lots of cuddles whilst she cried in my arms.

DH is off to Lords after I ended up taking him to the train station, taxi didn't turn up. So the car is now parked on the road as I can't get it on the driveway. I physically can't look at the mirrors/ turn around to see where I'm going.

Stay & Play was mad, not busy just one of those days. Lots going on then there was a coffee morning that we were going to go to but I lost the feeling in my left arm so came back home.

Luckily for DH!

So he's back 11.30pm tomorrow night, we're off to Brum Saturday, 40th party Sunday, DH's birthday Monday, pick up wolf Tuesday and respite lady is coming Tuesday too.......

Breathe Mouse breathe!

Has anyone seen or heard from noteven? Just wondering how she's getting on and if her DD is back with her full time?

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Nemo is eating a french fries crisp!!! He took it out of my packet and has it in his mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile

Well done SAF!

Watcha mouseface Grin

I'm poorly. Lovely tummy bug, it's just as well this is virtual so that I don't pass it on to you lot.

I'm off on holiday for a few days at the weekend with my in laws. My dh won't even be there! Shock They will no doubt suggest the pub at least once during my stay (in their caravan). I'm not overly bothered about this, which has surprised me Grin

obrigada · 21/07/2011 13:45

Well done SAF:)
Mouse am I right in thinking that it's brilliant that Nemo is eating Confused

MsGee · 21/07/2011 13:51

Well done SAF, I was so happy for you when I read the post that you were home. Have a relaxing afternoon and enjoy just being.

Mouse I have to say "way to go Nemo ", although shame that your crisps are no longer safe Smile

Big hello to everyone else - it sounds like you are all in planning mode and there is a feeling of positivity on the board today. Hurrah.

I have been a bit down the last couple of days, snapping at DH and being generally a bit stroppy. I feel like I am rushing through the days. Anyway, I have decided to sod work and sod the cleaning, I am picking up DD early from nursery and we are going to do something fun. or curl up in front of a disney film

I can't get out of my head that other people are pregnant and not me. I should be going for my twenty week scan now. And I am sick of people telling me stories about their friend who went through something similar and now they have a billion children.

And I am going out tonight. Its my second night out all year! At the moment all I have decided is that my first drink will be a soft drink. Baby steps.

Fairenuff · 21/07/2011 13:53

SAF brilliant!

Now what are you going to do with your afternoon? I am still recovering from yesterday's stomach bug but at least I can eat a little and sip my lovely cuppa tea.

Mouse judging by all the exclamation marks this is an historic moment we are all witnessing?

Cake is good. I think it's entirely possible that I should join cakes anonymous.

MsGee · 21/07/2011 13:58

SAF wotsits ... you are a girl after my own heart.

(note to self: must focus on the bigger picture on this board and not just the crisps)

GollyHolightly · 21/07/2011 13:58

Have you ever set fire to a wotsit? It burns GREEN Shock Grin

SAF bake one for the bus too, would you? I am quite partial to coffee and walnut.

Mouseface · 21/07/2011 14:10

Yes, this is a HUGE deal that Nemo has even put food into his mouth so I'm going to be stocking up on crisps. One fat Mouse on her way! Grin

Saf - I think just chilling out and baking a cake sounds ideal. I'll be with you in a few hours Wink

MsGee - crisps are the be all and end all. French Fries only have 97 cals too so happy days.

Hello Golly - where have you been hiding Mrs? Sorry you're poorly xx

Banana cake please SAF Grin

Yeah for Neme Mouse

GollyHolightly · 21/07/2011 14:18

I haven't been hiding as such mouse! I go through quite long periods of feeling quite antisocial I'm afraid Blush Also, I've been very busy at work, and because I'm sober I'm a lot busier on a day to day basis too as I no longer have to turn down opportunities (just to see people, do ordinary stuff) because of not knowing how hungover I might be on any given day. I used to plan entire weeks around hangovers Shock

Has anyone set light to a wotsit yet? Grin A terrible waste of wotsits, obviously, but in the name of scientific experimentation of course.

Fairenuff · 21/07/2011 14:19

Oh Mouse how exciting for you. Has that lifted your spirits today?

SAF don't think about it, just get baking, singing along to your music and enjoy yourself.

I like a bit of rock blasting out when I'm cleaning, to jolly me along. Got all the windows open here today as the sun has decided to make a rare appearance Smile
