How do you feel about prostitution?

BillieH · 10/11/2010 13:01

Hello everyone, I have name changed for this(no sinister reason) but i do post on here from time to time.

Anyway, I would love to know what your thoughts are on prostitution. I don't mean political views and I dont really want to get into a discussion on whether girls are trafficked, pimped, druggies. Just what you think as a whole.

I am talking about girls who willing become escorts or work in massage parlours under the guise of 'masseuses' when really they provide extras.

What do you think of men who see them? Are that losers, sad and lonely, 'sex addicts'or what? Would you think your dp/dh was cheating if he saw a prostitute.

I ask just out of curiosity, I do not think my dp has ever visited a prostitute! Also, apparently 1 in 10 men see prostitutes. Do you agree with this. If this is true what hope do we all have eh?

My take is that i belive some girls use their looks to earn money an 'easy' way. By easy, I mean that they do not have to train for yrs to get a decent paid job, or they do not have to work 9 to 5 in an office when they can earn a wks wages in a day.

I have asked my own dp and he beleives that there is something missing from a relationship if a man sees a prostitute.Obviously its different with a single man. He also thinks that some men have issues sexually with their wives/partners and are inhibited. Therefore, that is why they pay for sex acts that they can't ask for at home. These are exactly my thoughts.Anyone agree or disagree?

I'd like your thoughts or experiences!

OFFS, have read a few posts on that PN you linked

this whole thread is a piss-take and I don't care wtf is who

so, I am gone

Mandamumu · 10/11/2010 20:40

AF Those are things that I discuss with RL friends. I pop on here for the prostitution threads because when prostitution is discussed, both sides of the story are helpful. Or would you rather have one sided discussions full of "armchair experts" who have been educated by the media?

BillieH · 10/11/2010 20:42

I havent posted much lately as i have recently returned to work after mat leave. I did post quite a lot during my preg earlier this yr and with my last baby.

I have skimmed that punternet thread but will try and read all later. Still mystified.

*BillieH, official statistics suggest that around 8% of men have visited a prostitute at least once. That's not hooker bullshit.

Lindi's pretty snotty about us on PN, too.

TheOleDragon · 10/11/2010 20:43

AF, do you believe that these men are all genuinely honest with their wives? It Doesn't matter what they tell me, as soon as the last one leaves, the next one will be along within the next fifteen minutes.

Unless most of them get a kick out of going to the jewellers and buying a wedding ring to wear on their left and fingers, just to visit me... I would say the odds are more in my favour.

BillieH · 10/11/2010 20:46

Oh OFFS are you a prostitute too? Hadnt realised that?

well I hope the statistics don't include my dp.

OP posts:
OFFS · 10/11/2010 20:47

Yes, I am - by my own free choice and all that. :) I guess most women hope their men aren't visiting us, but I have to say that a fair percentage of my own clients are indeed coupled up (and often wearing wedding rings, too.)

TheOleDragon · 10/11/2010 20:48

Some of you ladies do swear alot. I have to say I find some of the language on here fit for the gutter.

OFFS · 10/11/2010 20:50

Yeah, good, innit? Grin

Malificence · 10/11/2010 20:52

Our language may be fit for the fucking gutter but at least we aren't having sex with pathetic wankers men for money.

Lou4fun · 10/11/2010 20:53

If i were lindilala, then I would say wouldnt I? She isnt supposed to be a prostitute is she? So why name change? Im utterly confused now!
***

It would be a little bit difficult for you to explain you have been a member there for a year and an active poster.
Many trolls can keep up a fake persona but on line time and posting times emmit a profile of that poster. Your activity on PN is not that of a happily married female.

You can deny if its you, but by your own hand you readily admit changing your name so the WHY is a moot point as I have no issue with who you are just what you have to say.

OFFS · 10/11/2010 20:55

Malificence no, but many MNers are having sex with pathetic wankers for free. And they share debts with them, and have DC by them; are you a stranger to relationship threads?

Anniegetyourgun · 10/11/2010 20:56

Personally I find the idea of pulling men off for a living fit for the gutter. A bit of cussin', on the other hand, never hurt anyone. I didn't have to say that, I just thought I would.

Lou4fun · 10/11/2010 21:06

Anniegetyourgun
Cuss away.

TheOleDragon · 10/11/2010 21:06

Malificence and Anniegetyourgun, your thoughts have been taken on board. You swear as much as you like. I have to tell you my massage lasts for 45 minutes and the handjob is not just a tugg, I put so much effort into it, more like someone on a pottery wheel that is an art form which lasts for 15 minutes. My clients certainly think so and that is why the return to me again and again.

I also offer lessons on my website teaching women how to give a sensual massage.

Timeforabiscuit · 10/11/2010 21:13

DP brought a buisness card home for an 'ahem' "professional disciplinarian"

Someone who hits you for money, no sex

Would anyone do that for a living rather than sex?

Anniegetyourgun · 10/11/2010 21:18

Nah, that's all right, I'll pass on the massage lessons thanks. You keep doing what you're doing, and put your back into it by all means, but do me a favour: give up the assumed air of gentility because it really jars under the circumstances. That was my point.

ps Thank you Lou, I will Grin I don't despise sex workers as such; a woman's got to do what a woman's got to do to keep her family fed. You're also right that many, many women share their lives with pathetic wankers, but feel it's ok because he's their wanker and they've only got the one. Been there myself, but fortunately saw the light. I neither know nor care whether he visited prostitutes, but suspect he didn't because he would find it a bit difficult to get me to pay for them like I had to pay for everything else.

Mandamumu · 10/11/2010 21:35

Annie, why should a prostitute not have an 'air of gentility'?

BillieH · 10/11/2010 21:43

Lou for fun. I have no idea if lindyloo oe whatever her name is is happily married but I know I am blissfully happy with my dp.

If my dp is screwing prossies then my god he must have the ability to be in two places at once. I know his every mood as we share child care:)

I have not come here to rubbish anyones relationships or throw insults. everyone has their own opinion on the subject and I am genuinely interested in them. Many opinions are pre formed and have absolutely no facts to them. The biggest being prostitution is illegal.
The second I would say is men only use prostitutes when they are not happy at home.

I am not trying to win anyone over I merely took part to answer any genuine questions. Many will want to believe pre formed images of prostitutes being on drugs or from broken homes etc because it may comfort you to think your partners would not sink so low. I am not here to sneer at you but While I cannot deny there are prostitutes that fit this image there are thousands that dont. Many men live in loving relationships and have no intention of leaving their wife, most of the deception is to prevent hurt. I give you some will be for other reasons from embarrassment to shame to protecting their image.

I hope my post made a little sense, if not pretend you never read it.

Lou4fun

Anniegetyourgun · 10/11/2010 21:47

Because sex is not a "polite" activity. The woman is explaining how she gets someone else's husband to ejaculate (oh don't bother me about "sometimes they don't go all the way", that is a petty detail, and I'm sure you clean it up ever so tidily, perhaps with a lace handkerchief?) and then tucks away the cash; but when someone actually uses the word "fuck" she goes all "ladylike" Hmm. It's like a farmer standing up to his/her knees in the manure pile and saying "Oh please, don't call it shit, that offends my sensibilities". Call a spade a fucking shovel and have done with it.

UnlikelyAmazonian · 10/11/2010 21:47

this isn't very interesting.

The op's question is infantile. Confused

I am going to start an equally imbecilic thread.

Anniegetyourgun · 10/11/2010 21:48

That was to Mandamumu btw.

UnlikelyAmazonian · 10/11/2010 22:02

what do pimps have whiff of mananananandu?

BillieH · 10/11/2010 22:02

Lou4fun and oledragon if you really are trained masseuses then why do you wank me off at the end?Could you not get enough money giving a straight massage?Do you get much more money for the extras?
Do you wear gloves(!)?Don't you feel a bit sick if its an ugly old man.Shudder.
I just showed my dp this thread. His take is:

There is absolutely a problem in a marriage if a man pays for sex
He sees his wife as a wife only and can' be 'dirty' with her
If he is single, he is a man with ishoos regarding meeting women.
He nearly choked on his Jack Daniels when I said some women charge a hundred pounds an hour for a high class escort. His reply was'How can an escort be high class'.

Do you think all of the above is a cover up?:)
