How do you feel about prostitution?

Hello everyone, I have name changed for this(no sinister reason) but i do post on here from time to time.

Anyway, I would love to know what your thoughts are on prostitution. I don't mean political views and I dont really want to get into a discussion on whether girls are trafficked, pimped, druggies. Just what you think as a whole.

I am talking about girls who willing become escorts or work in massage parlours under the guise of 'masseuses' when really they provide extras.

What do you think of men who see them? Are that losers, sad and lonely, 'sex addicts'or what? Would you think your dp/dh was cheating if he saw a prostitute.

I ask just out of curiosity, I do not think my dp has ever visited a prostitute! Also, apparently 1 in 10 men see prostitutes. Do you agree with this. If this is true what hope do we all have eh?

My take is that i belive some girls use their looks to earn money an 'easy' way. By easy, I mean that they do not have to train for yrs to get a decent paid job, or they do not have to work 9 to 5 in an office when they can earn a wks wages in a day.

I have asked my own dp and he beleives that there is something missing from a relationship if a man sees a prostitute.Obviously its different with a single man. He also thinks that some men have issues sexually with their wives/partners and are inhibited. Therefore, that is why they pay for sex acts that they can't ask for at home. These are exactly my thoughts.Anyone agree or disagree?

I'd like your thoughts or experiences!

My goodness AF is unladylike! Shock Call the Daily Mail! Grin

AnyFucker · 10/11/2010 17:54

yes, porto, I thought it best not to attempt to refute the "unladylike" quip Wink

WhenwillIfeelnormal · 10/11/2010 17:54

Yawn....Billie if you really are a regular, then you won't have missed a thread about this very issue recently, that hit 1000 posts and probably would have reached 2000 if there wasn't a post-limit.

Lots of us contributed to it and there were also (allegedly) testimonies from "choice" sex workers, which appears to be the bit of the trade you're interested in. FWIW, I don't agree with you or your DP and even less with the "live and let live" posters, but this has been done to death so recently and looks like it will end up with yet another bunfight between posters. Meanwhile, energies will be diverted away from helping posters with real, pressing problems.....

AnyFucker · 10/11/2010 17:55

actually, I think my Jack Russell is in need of his tea

ciao

When people are new to a forum, threads will be repeated and repeated yet again. Have some thought for the new people who have not discussed such subjects. You seem to be like a little click in the school playground. Not very welcoming.

If you keep talking to just AnyFucker Youwillneverfeelnormal... especially ones with Jack Russells who shag their husbands up the arse !!!

hedidit · 10/11/2010 18:01

I find your tone very abusive.

This is a forum I assume run by women and for women (for the most part). I think OleDragon has hit a nerve for sure.

Why have you decided to be so offensive instead of taking her comments in your stide, we all differ in our opinions but what makes you think that you are so wonderful just because you have a man. So much for womens lib and all that lol.

For your info, it takes a man to make a baby, all single mothers therefore had one at some point in time. Dont be so complacent in your relationship that you think your man would "never ever ever" lol, how blinkered can you be.

TheOleDragon · 10/11/2010 18:03

StewieGriffinsMom, do you base your post on fact?

loopylou6 · 10/11/2010 18:09

Thanks for that sgm Hmm I don't count myself to be a dumbarse just because I believe a lot of women choose to prostitute themselves

loopy - do you know of any? Apart from those who've written books about it?

WhenwillIfeelnormal · 10/11/2010 18:13

Anyone thinking that Footlong and Barmy are back with a vengeance? Wink

PosieComeHereMyPreciousParker · 10/11/2010 18:16

I'm happy being a SAHM, thanks.

What sort of man uses a prostitute?

A fuckwit misogynist of the highest order.

No it's not a joke.

WhenwillIfeelnormal · 10/11/2010 18:16

I don't remember them blatantly misusing apostrophes though...and from what I remember, they could actually spell and construct a sentence...Confused

"What do you think of men who see them? Are that losers, sad and lonely, 'sex addicts'or what? Would you think your dp/dh was cheating if he saw a prostitute."

Are you five?

"There have been 16 women respond to this thread, excluding the OP... that means by the percentage given, at least one of your husbands has visited a prostitute and you probably have no idea that he has done so."

I like to think....you should try thinking too, it'll help you not sound so stupid.

AnyFucker · 10/11/2010 18:23

hedidit, you are a wind-up merchant

I can't be arsed to tell you why, tbh

it would be akin to connecting my head to a brick wall, with force

Dear god woman, what century and country do you actually live in?

It begger's belief that in this day and age such ignorance is still around. Of course women choose such a profession. Do you really think they are all bound and chained to a bed by their ankles lol.

Whilst clearly this is a huge problem in some parts of the world I think that if you actually knew anything of the sex industry in this country you would not spout such drivel. Have you had one too many babie's,did you loose so many brain cells you dont know which county you are in lol.

The sex industry in the uk is blossoming despite the apparent recession. Funny, no matter how hard hit, a man seems always to be able to find the cash to pay for what he SHOULD be able to get at home, but clearly oten does not. It is a basic need and I bet none of the ladie's whom clamp on a chastity belt after giving birth ever said in their marraige vow's, "i promise to love, cherish, and only screw until i cannot be arsed anymore".

Open your drawer pull out your black mamba and fuck yourself....

AnyFucker · 10/11/2010 18:30

posie, not worth it, honestly x

ALERT

WIND UP MERCHANT

lollypoplady · 10/11/2010 18:30

I worked as a stripper in my 20's. I realise this isn't 'prostitution' but I would say it falls into the sex trade bracket - lots of girls did give 'extras' - and it was pretty sleazy but also a lot of fun! I made fantastic money, the customers were just normal guys, often a little lonely with too much money but normal none the less. It boosted my body confidence no end and I enjoyed the job. That's just me, I stopped and settled down but lots of teh girls reaslied how much more money they could make without having to pay the club and put the hours in and became prostitutes, not for me but hey. There are different circumstances surronding a prostitues decision to sell her body and obviously sometimes it's an awful situation (sex trafficking, drug addiction etc) but a fair few have made an informed decision!!!

TheOleDragon · 10/11/2010 18:39

Read the Original Post... She says she is 'talking about girls who willing become escorts or work in massage parlours under the guise of 'masseuses' when really they provide extras.'

I am a Prostitue, Working Girl, Lady of the Night.. Whore, which ever way you want to dress it up.

I am also a single mother to a son whose father I was not married to and did not want to know. I left him when I was 5 months pregnant. I have also been married, funny enough to a policeman (a Superintendent, who everyone thought was a wonderful man, including me... until I realised that he really is not. You would think that I hate men. I don't for you see I deal with married men almost every day. Men whose wives think that they are at work, or in a meeting. Men who don't have 2 horns. Some are very attractive men, who have rings on their left fingers. Yes they even leave their rings on.

I as a mother, have trained in jobs, I am a touch typist who types 62wpm. I have good qualifications and have worked a number of jobs, sometimes 3 at a time, since the day I had my son. There was no maternity leave for me.

I now work less hours, I am a fully qualified and have a VCT Diploma in Body Massage. My service includes a very good massage and HR (Hand Relief) I offer this extra because instead of earning about £35 for the hour I earn £70 an hour by just adding the HR.

The married men who think they are not cheating, well who am I to judge?? to me it is just a job and they are my clients.

My son goes without anything. He has a very good diet and is nice stable person.

I do not take drugs, I drink maybe one or two and Christmas and one on my birthday. I keep a very nice clean home and have 3 cats.

The Op was not asking about people who are trafficked, she was asking about women who do the job as a choice. I suggest you read the orginal post on this thread again.

Bast · 10/11/2010 18:40

My DP told me he had, when he was younger.

We discussed the circumstances under which he did, his reasons for doing so and his feelings about it now.

I respect and appreciate his disclosure and importantly, his matured perspective about what he did.

mamatomany · 10/11/2010 18:41

When i think of the number of dickheads i shagged in my 20's for free you wonder who the fool is, at least the prostitutes get something out of the deal.

lollypoplady · 10/11/2010 18:43

Wtf?! Chill out! I am giving my opinion on what I think of prostitution 'as a whole' like she asked... if that's ok with you of course?
