Well, thanks to the refreshingly honest and inspirational JesusWhatNext - this is the third thread, for the battle to beat the booze for all of those who are on the path to do so.

Some are sober, some are trying to be and some are still drinking.

I'm Mouse, I'm new to this and I'm scared. So, come and join the journey.

What are you up to this afternoon MissP? I am 'working' - and counting down to the weekend. For so many years Friday was the signal to get down the pub... and now it means AA meeting to me! How times change...

Hi MissP, haven't 'spoken' to you on here. Welcome, and well done on your efforts. I lurked for a while at the beginning too, didn't dare to post while I was still drinking.

That was a bit of a burst of intense work there, think I need a lie down. Roll on 5pm!

Right lovely Babes, I will try to at least have a quick visit over the weekend. It feels so long until Monday - and there may even be a new thread by then!

Algee if you are lurking, have a good weekend. Is dh back tonight? I have been so busy while dp is away, I've organised loads of things and I'm off to see an art exhibition this evening. But tomorrow I have nothing planned (yet), which may be a danger. Wish me strength.

Mouse Yep TGIF has a whole new meaning now! I'm having something fattening for Dinner, don't care what as long as its naughty (in a calorific way). A lovely bubble bath, and I might watch Mistresses on 'catch up" if the men in my life don't hog the telly!!!

OK it's going to be chocolate custard poured over chocolate brownie(s) possibly nuked (suns gone it feels Autumnal here) may add one strawberry as part of my 5 a day!

MissP - that strawbery will play a crucial part in the quest for 5 a day!!

It was going to be Southern Style Breaded Chicken from M&S with new potatoes and garden peas but given the way I feel, and how grey, cold and utterly miserable the weather is, it may have to be dead dog on a pitta - AKA - a kebab!!

Ooh - yes, Mitresses! I Sky+ it. No change of it tonight...... DH would roll his eyes so much they may well roll out of his head!

Right, drinks for tonight will be the usual pomegranate, apple and raspberry juice, served long and tall with a heap of ice and maybe a can of diet coke as a treat!!!

Then Ovaltine for bed!
