Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like to marry Pip, or other unusual views.

There is also no way Josh would not know that Carol Tregorran is Jill's tenant not a Brookfield tenant, or that he would not know that he cannot inherit Glebe Cottage from people to whom it does not belong.

i am finding it all to tedious and rubbish to even worry about which of the seemingly interchangable younger cast members are speaking.

I was confused when Pip mentioned Carol T to Josh, because I thought he, or possibly David, specifically mentioned that she was living at Glebe (‘Gleeeeeeeeb’ when Jill says it) when telling the kids about the inheritance plans.

Ruth’s speech was bad even by her standards. ‘Stella was MY friend first, we just CLICKED, Stella is a farmer like ME, Stella and I have so much in common … oh yeah David’s happy about this too by the way’

Like @AskingQuestionsAllTheTime I will go against the grain on Tom/Akram. Tom creates an atmosphere of stress and hurry, garbles out some unclear instructions, fails to take on board the fact that a) Akram has form for needing crystal clear instructions b) Akram had to clarify with him what he meant by late brassicas (or whatever type of brassicas it was) which CLEARLY flagged that Akram wasn’t going to be 100% sure what to look for c) Akram repeated the instructions back to him incorrectly. Absolutely typical of Tom to create extra work for himself and others and to blame someone else for it. He never listens!

I hope either Cleo eats Rosie or Rosie eats Cleo and this leads Pip and Stella to split and Pip to move away from Ambridge.

Stella and pip will marry.

Stella will realise how annoying pip is (how she has managed this long I do not know) and will have an affair with Ruth and they’ll be two super acrimonious divorces fighting over brookfield

How about Fat Rosie bites Cleo and Stella gives the ghastly TWFL and FR their marching orders.

Cleo is the best new character for ages. She must be preserved at all costs.

I’m fine with her getting a small nip from Fat Rosie as per @FatRosie’s suggestion.

The future of Brookfield is in Cleo's paws. Stella needs a pre-nip not pre-nup.

David has a model railway set. That's the most I took from recent episodes.

God I'm bored of Ambridge at the moment.

I was about to type the same thing. That episode was another helping of crashing boredom.

At the risk of increasing the boredom, I signed up to help with speed watch in our village and fell at the first hurdle
which was online training. I fell asleep every time I tried to do it at home. I also tried to do it whilst out dog walking but that wasn’t successful either - or maybe it was as I was clearly unable to focus on the task in hand.

We’ve now got an automated smiley/sad face instead.

Rex and Alice are making me cringe.

Rex is a bit of a drip just turning up twice now. He will confess his love for Alice next and scare her off.
Chelsea is a bit cheeky wanting to leave the horse box at the stables. What would she do if Alice or Aunty Fagash says no.
She really hasn't thought all this through.

Outdoor cinemas are expensive and a letdown. Wonder which one will lunge for a kiss first. Hope they turn the mics down.

Debbie Aldridge does, but that's to do with the actor having another life. All the other trips overseas are temporary or just don't happen. They are just some lazy SW device to park a character.

It’s a shame that we lose the decent actors and are stuck with the lousy ones (pip)

Johnny's overseas trip seems quite permanent, to the point he's been erased from everyone's memories.

Stupid Lynda should know better than to put pressure on a farmer the week before calving. Or in the summer. I would have thought she would know about the rhythms of the farming year. She should speak to Akram- I am sure he could poetically fill her in.

Still no clunky Ramadan scenes…they’ll come…

Akram said he was working through his lunch due to Ramadan, which I thought was ok as an insert (but as he undoubtedly doubts get paid his lunch break, I hope he’s going home early!).

Most stables/livery yards charge you for parking your box/trailer on their land.
