Spoilers thread for The Archers on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds. All Archers listeners are welcome here, whether you post on our main Archers thread or not. There's just one rule: please keep all spoiler-related discussion in this thread and do not spill the beans on the main Archers thread.

We usually add the BBC teasers and cast lists for forthcoming episodes as they become available, plus the Radio Times and Daily Mail previews when possible. Feel free to add anything else you come across, e.g. cast news, scriptwriter tweets!

Just what I was thinking - there might have been one, but Alice nipped it in the bud.

Would Keira not have gone to her pal's (or did they say she wasn't there and I missed that?) And I can't see Harrison hitting/killing George in cold blood, I know people don't like him, but he is basically a decent enough person. My money would be on Markie, or one of his henchmen.

Ha! I only watch about 5 threads and so must have "unwatched" it, very possibly not 100% accidentally because sometimes I lose patience. But for some reason it was an absolute performance to find it.

But if you post on it, it will be in your Threads I’m On list, and you can pin it to the top of that list. (I have the main TA thread and the Spoilers thread thus conveniently arranged.)

Well that was the biggest anti-climax out, in one sense anyway.

The Bull having a change of heart sometime soon does suggest that George might still be alive and un-barred at some point - but as we’ve seen, the BBC doesn’t always use language in commonly accepted ways. ‘Rampage’ for instance …

David and Ruth are on R4 Today circa 7:40. There’s some dreadful acting from David and Ruth playing Dan and Dorris just before the interview. It is nice to hear that ‘Ruth’ still exists.

Womens’ Hour also has some sort of feature.

There’s some dreadful acting from David and Ruth playing Dan and Dorris just before the interview. It is nice to hear that ‘Ruth’ still exists.
I didn't think the acting was dreadful just that the voices were from the present day Brookfield kitchen.

I think they may not be capable of acting anyone not of their own era, and that is probably true of most modern actors unless they specialise in "period", and even then it has to be the right period. It was true of 1970s actors trying to play men in the trenches during the 1914-18 war, too – and not just because all of them had hair well over their collars!

I'm feeling sadly let down by the snippets in the run up to George's (not a) rampage. DH was wondering if they made a few tweaks to the storyline in the light of recent knife & gun attacks.

Jazzer seemed quite reluctant to check the bridle path...

After missing the 5pm slot, I decided to go down the David Attenborough/Traitors/Night Watchman route (which, I suspect, made for a far more enjoyable evening).

02.01 A vigil is held at the hospital, and one villager has some surprising news to impart.

It doesn't look as if we'll establish the culprit for a while, yet. Perhaps they plan to keep George in a coma for a few months to work around another acting job.
