News on Mustardland is that about 10 minutes ago I gave it another try, got in and succeeded in posting on a thread about the outage. The post appeared, I attempted to go back to the homepage and was immediately redirected to CloudShite again. 😅

Helen is intrigued by a new notion,

That actually, no-one except her regards it as a privilege to develop a new cheese?

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 24- 29 May 2026
The BBC is running a Caring Matters initiative this week, but The Archers has been exploring that subject for a while so we can expect those storylines about Ambridge family members juggling busy lives with caring for elderly parents to come to the fore. Guilt, resentment and the repercussions for the wider family are voiced - as well as the lighter moments closer connections can bring. At Home Farm it seems as if Brian is beyond caring and Adam considers a shocking move that could spark all out war.

Fri 5th Jun - The police descend on Ambridge, and Brad finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place.

With any luck they're after Den!

FatRosie · 24/05/2026 16:12

Thanks @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g .

we can expect those storylines about Ambridge family members juggling busy lives with caring for elderly parents to come to the fore.
Jill - have her providing childminding services free of charge for her great-grandchild when in her late 80s.
Peggy - Kate said she was her carer but that was about it.
Bert - sprightly nonagenarian
Carol - sprightly nonagenarian
Brian - in his 80s and still working.

But we can expect PSAs.

Here is the Radio Times summary for 31 May - 5 June 2026
Whenever a police officer appears in the cast list, you know that there's trouble ahead - and this week's no different. With the Aldridge clan tearing themselves apart over the future of Home Farm, gung-ho Adam makes the threatening move that's been hanging like the sword of Damocles for weeks. There's also tension at Bridge Farm as Tom and Natasha strive for financial security - surely Tom won't have flogged her beloved leather trousers in revenge for his Barbour?

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 28/05/2026 12:37

Oh, wow!

But why would the police go to Ambridge, rather than wherever Ruairi is currently living?

FatRosie · 28/05/2026 12:44

Because that's his address on the electoral roll.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/05/2026 13:00

Thanks, @Madcats! Brian will be beside himself.

OP posts:
Gonners · 28/05/2026 13:06

Brian will be on the phone to his solicitor, dissolving the partnership and disinheriting Adam, before the end of next week. Unless of course the shock kills him and Adam and Ian go chortling off into the sunset.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/05/2026 13:09

Found some more spoilers in Mustardland. The first two are for the week drawing to a close now, but better late than never.

Total TV Guide 23rd May to 29th May
It’s high noon at Home Farm, with Kate and Alice trying to keep the peace as patriarch Brian - increasingly unhinged - buries his head in the sand. Meanwhile, despite Ian’s best efforts, Adam deals another dastardly blow. Is the family on the verge of imploding? The combination of Alan and Lynda as a support group might seem unlikely, but it could prove fruitful as Carol and Anna battle painful emotions. In the autumn of her years, could Carol’s life become more burdensome by straying into aged lothario Bert Horrobin’s romantic view? ‘Tis a tale as old as time! Plus, the clicking of her high heels over the airwaves seems set to grow more agitated as money-fixated Natasha is confronted with an uncomfortable reality.

TV Times 23rd May to 29th May
The tension at Home Farm is worsening by the day - and things could escalate even further with a final straw for one of the Aldridges. Meanwhile, Carol and Anna are still struggling - but could Alan and Lynda help make things easier between them? Also this week, Tracy worries that Bert is making a big mistake, Kirsty tries to stay calm and Zainab attempts something new.

Total TV Guide 30th May - 5th June
There’s trouble in paradise for lovebirds Rex and Alice as the ongoing ructions at Home Farm put pressure on their relationship, while Ian is ruffling feathers as the stress causes him to make an uncharacteristic faux pas - humble pie, anyone? Later in the week, things go from bad to worse when Adam’s shocking actions see the Ambridge Constabulary pull up in the driveway. Since his arrival in the village last year, Akram has been increasingly drawn to working with livestock - but a fallout this week leaves him wondering whether a farmer’s life is really for him. Plus there’s tension at Bridge Farm as Natasha and Tom make their bid for financial security. Don’t hold your breath, folks…

TV Times 30th May to 5th June
Things are difficult for Rex and Alice this week as they find themselves in the firing line - and on different pages. Can they fix this? Meanwhile, Ian makes an out-of-character mistake, and the police descend after Adam makes a shocking move. Also this week, Natasha and Tom have a plan to secure their future and Akram has a decision to make about his career path.

Brian will be on the phone to his solicitor, dissolving the partnership and disinheriting Adam, before the end of next week. Unless of course the shock kills him and Adam and Ian go chortling off into the sunset.

It would all depend on Brian's will. As Brian's stepson, not adopted by Brian, Adam would get absolutely nothing unless Brian has mentioned him in his will. I don't know if we were privy to what was in Jennifer's will. Peggy's was a washout, of course.

Thanks @Madcats and @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g .

could Carol’s life become more burdensome by straying into aged lothario Bert Horrobin’s romantic view? FFS.

As Brian's stepson, not adopted by Brian, Adam would get absolutely nothing unless Brian has mentioned him in his will. This.

I like the prospect of clicking heels.Smile

Maybe Brian will leave the land to Akram.

Gonners · 28/05/2026 13:30

I very much hope Adam turns out to have shot himself in the foot.

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 28/05/2026 15:14

Love that thought, @FatRosie! Just imagine Akram’s face if it happened. 😄

Unfortunately right now Brian thinks he’s immortal, so has no intention of leaving anything to anyone.

Gonners · 28/05/2026 15:33

So Adam knows that it was Ruairi wot dun it. I assume he also knows that Brian covered up for Ruairi by pretending it was him. This means that Ruari is guilty of the bottling, Brian is guilty of perverting the course of justice by covering it up to protect Ruairi, and George is guilty of blackmail.

So Ruairi may go to prison, Brian could go to prison and George may go back to prison. Maybe, given the overcrowding, they could all share a cell?

FatRosie · 28/05/2026 15:33

Maybe Adam dobs Ruairi and Brian to the bizzies. George does a deal where Brine hands over a portion of Home Farmland to George as hush money. Kate and Alice get a token amount and Ruairi gets the rest.

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 28/05/2026 15:48

Is George going to miss the birth of his BoundToBeABoy daughter because he’s incarcerated? Brad would be whooping all the way to the pram shop …

FatRosie · 28/05/2026 15:56

The baybee will be Georgette Edina Josephina Grundy. George will blame Amber for her failure to produce George Junior.

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 28/05/2026 16:23

She’ll be called Xanthe. And from the moment she first spies Xander from across the village green she will have eyes for no one else.

FatRosie · 28/05/2026 16:29

The baybee will arrive on a drink lots of Grundy Cider night and will be delivered by either Brad or Alice because they'll be sober.

She'll not because George will want his name. Kirsty's baby will be a boy and called Heron Hakansson Miller.

I don't think telling George he did it was Brian perverting the course of justice; he'd need to tell the police, wouldn't he?

Gonners · 28/05/2026 18:11

You're right - perverting the course of justice was what George did when he (foolishly) hoicked Alice into the driving seat rather than admitting he was driving because she'd necked a bottle of vodka. If he'd done that, he would just have got a slap on the wrist and a warning and been told to call the police next time. Brian would probably have thanked him and given him a job and none of that tedious storyline would have happened. Also, there would be no Amber on the scene!

Abra1t · 28/05/2026 18:35

Contrasting Brian’s relationship with his other stepchild, Debbie, whom he adored when she was growing up with him and loved her interest in the farm.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/05/2026 21:02

The BBC has just updated the teasers.

14/06/2026 The fallout continues at Home Farm, and Oliver keeps tight lipped.
15/06 Brian’s feelings are hurt, and Amber is on tenterhooks.
16/06 Disaster strikes for David, and Alistair has his work cut out.
17/06 George is feeling optimistic, and there’s good news at last at Brookfield.
18/6 Kate struggles to find the silver lining, and Brad opens his heart.
19/6 The stress builds for Amber, and Will attempts to make a good impression.
