Spoilers thread for The Archers. Please keep all spoiler-related discussion in this thread and do not spill the beans on the main Archers Thread (hence the zipped mouth on the emoji!). Last spoilers thread here: www.mumsnet.com/talk/radio_addicts/4197199--The-Archers-spoilers-thread-6-Cant-wait-for-7-02pm-Join-us-here

Current main Archers thread here: www.mumsnet.com/talk/radio_addicts/4632741-archers-thread-139-whos-the-daddy-no-ceremonial-required-to-join-us-discuss-the-archers-here The main thread tends to last a few weeks. The spoiler thread runs for well over a year, but I strongly suspect it gets read about as much as the main thread.

Shock
WhoppingBigBackside · 15/06/2023 20:50

Gonners · 15/06/2023 20:40

What, once bringing the steak knife and then dealing with the consequences?

Something like that, Gonners.

I am still looking for the common sense. Will Trusty Krusty go with Helen?
Will Rob order the home made custard as they discuss Gideon's custardy.
Does Rob still have PR for Henwee?

MuddlerInLaw · 15/06/2023 21:00

Helen, in the cafe, with a cake fork? Hence waiter and doctor required?

Unless Rob now needs to travel with his own personal medic.

WhoppingBigBackside · 16/06/2023 20:25

Lee's going to be up the Polluted Am without a paddle.

I 'enjoyed' tonight's episode, even if it was a bit dramatic.

Gonners · 17/06/2023 21:26

@WhoppingBigBackside Lee's going to be up the Polluted Am without a paddle.

Is it very wrong to say oh, I do hope so? At least it might be mildly interesting - a word that I have never associated with Lee.

WhoppingBigBackside · 20/06/2023 13:10

I quite like Lee. He seems mild and inoffensive.
Rob faked the seizure IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if Helen went back to him.
I think Fallon and Harrison's marriage will deteriorate as Tracy and Jazzer get married.
I've just found out that I was born in the same place as a minor TA actor.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/06/2023 14:03

Asking still not back? Hope all is well.

(That's a really short cast list, isn't it? Could they be saving up for the following week?)

OP posts:
WhoppingBigBackside · 20/06/2023 15:12

Thanks Gasp. I hope @AskingQuestionsAllTheTime is ok.

The cast list is short but they might not be mentioning everyone.
Are the concerns about Fallon or is she having concerns about someone or something? I read it as the former. Will she have been taken as a hostage by an unmentioned cast member lurking around Fridge Farm? More likely to be something to do with Lynda Snell's committee.

I hope Tracy and Jazzer's wedding goes OK. They deserve some happiness.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 20/06/2023 17:47

Sorry: I am fine, just v.v.v. busy with Stuff and forgot about the spoilers.

I noted that Rob was not in the cast list for last week, so I have added him to my own copy but it is a bit late for here.

WhoppingBigBackside · 20/06/2023 18:31

Glad you are OK Asking.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/06/2023 18:40

Good to hear, Asking! Yes, notable absence of Timothy Watson from all cast lists.

OP posts:
WhoppingBigBackside · 20/06/2023 18:46

I think we had an inkling that his name was not included. They have done that before, and they've probably done it again.

JanglyBeads · 20/06/2023 19:06

I don't think we'll hear from Rob for a month or so now, he's done quite enough to set various things in motion.

Is the bunting thief going to confess?!

BoreOfWhabylon · 20/06/2023 22:44

Thanks @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g and welcome back @AskingQuestionsAllTheTime

WhoppingBigBackside · 21/06/2023 09:08

I liked hearing Henry. Strange that posters on the main thread are saying he sounds northern.

MereDintofPandiculation · 21/06/2023 12:27

Who is Lena Manzour?

Isn't the worry about Fallon about her worrying about Harrison giving up his proper roll as bacon bringer?

TherapistInATabard · 21/06/2023 12:27

I know! I live in the mid Wales borders so hear a lot of West Midlands accents and he sounded very middle class west mids to me.

Maybe Jazzer’s new friend?

BoreOfWhabylon · 21/06/2023 21:33

More likely Stella's new friend, surely?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 24/06/2023 21:36

I have done an all-spoilers round-up as I generally do, in spite of some of it already having appeared; I find it quite convenient to have everything for juts one week all in the same place for reference.

BBC One-Liners
25 Jun Eddie has a trick up his sleeve, and tension rises at Beechwood.
26 Jun Helen has a new determination, and Mia finds herself becoming an accomplice
27 Jun Ruth proves to be a friend indeed, and there’s a dilemma for Harrison.
28 Jun Justin is feeling confident, but concerns are growing for Fallon.
29 Jun Questions are raised about the charging station, and Jim has a battle on his hands

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 25th – 30th June 2023
Emotions are running high this week. Naturally at Beechwood, as Helen is on high alert and Lee prepares to enter the lion's den, but also at the charging station meeting as Justin and Jim lock horns and Fallon worries about the future of the Tea Room. Lynda's emotions will also be put to the test if she hears of Eddie's plans for the fete. As he's found an ally in Mia, his scheme is gathering pace.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 25th – 30th June 2023
Justin and Jim prepare to go head to head as the meeting about the charging station arrives.
Meanwhile Helen looks to show a new resolve, and Eddie continues with his cunning plan to take control of the Summer Fete.

I wish I could think of a single reason for Eddie to want to spend a lot of effort on the fête committee; I can't believe that any profit he may make from any scam there would be worth it.

Pip Swallow is a new name as director.

WhoppingBigBackside · 25/06/2023 20:04

Thanks Asking. The knitted ferrets are still intriguing me.

WhoppingBigBackside · 26/06/2023 08:53

Thanks Asking. So cute!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 26/06/2023 14:36

Many thanks, Asking, for both updates and ferret picture! I can't knit, unfortunately, or I'd have a crack at one of those. I bet real life ferrets aren't cute, but that is.

WhoppingBigBackside · 26/06/2023 14:37

Hmm? I'm not sure that one I'd knitted would look like that.
I can't crochet. I need a Clarrieluv Grin
