That's if they are the ones who get told about it, rather than Ben/Josh/Freddie. One lot of spoilers suggests the younger set hear about what he has ben up to in London, as opposed to his parents.

I suspect he isn't at University any more.

Thanks Asking - looks as if there’ll be almost too much excitement this week.

Who on earth is Karl????? And surely his arrival should be heralded with wall to wall R4 trailers? How intriguing … (Wonder if he’ll act everyone else off the ‘stage’, or whether he’ll be all “Unfamiliar as I am with reading words aloud … I have taken advice from Pip and Amy.”) Pretty sure I’ve heard him as a convincing presence on the radio several times, but TA doesn’t always bring out the best in even the best actors.

It does sound as if The Flowerpots will be the lucky first receivers of London revelations. Though it would have been fun for this mystery to stretch over a few more months.

I don't think they'd have brought in RG to pay a minor character in aa single episode. Karl, judging from the name and actor, will be late 50s/early 60s. Might he be a friend of Mince or Adil?

He's done plenty of radio work, so should be ok.

Maybe he's also interested in purchasing Grey Gables

Easier than usual to guess the spoilers. Mystery investor has to be Vince, Ruairi's. big shock is likely to be that he's dropped out of university.

What was the point of having a superstar actor for the part?

Yes, I can't help feeling he was a bit wasted on the part.

But hey, perhaps Robert Glenister has always wanted to be in The Archers, and said so to his old mate Jeremy Howe at a party, so Howe pulled a couple of strings to give him his dream.

I suspect Asking has it right. All due respect to RG, but is he a superstar? His brother is rather better known, I'd say, and even there not sure he qualifies as a superstar. Odd episode all round.

I wouldn't say he's a superstar actor, but he is a good actor and well-known. Maybe he auditioned.

How does the EB get around? If it is by car, then how come nobody notices that the same car is in the vicinity.

Maybe it is someone who doesn't use a car - someone like Lynda Snell, or maybe Alice jogs across the fields, slips into costume ..
