@ILoveShula

Thanks Asking

Maybe Aimless and Kristiffur will be seen together.

Or Stella and Justin.
ILoveShula · 04/10/2021 08:24

That's a better one. It might be Bleak Blake sleeping in the hide.

CaptainMyCaptain · 04/10/2021 08:42

@ILoveShula

That's a better one. It might be Bleak Blake sleeping in the hide.
That's probably it.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 10th - 14th October 2021
Jim, Jazzer and Alistair open their home to an unexpected guest, but emotions are running high - will they be able to support their visitor? The Horrobin clan are certainly giving Jazzer a headache, as Chelsea's latest madcap scheme causes mayhem. Will he put his girlfriend's family ahead of material possessions?
Over at Berrow Farm, Martyn Gibson has news of an exciting opportunity, but it soon becomes clear that he's not being 100% altruistic. Brian and Stella, meanwhile, have a thorny issue to tackle at Home Farm.
And Russ is concerned when another resident offers their services. While Lily takes great delight in stirring the pot, who will end up with egg on their face?

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 10th - 14th October 2021
Jim, Jazzer and Alistair need very little to make them happy in the bachelor heaven that is Greenacres. A good fry-up, peace and quiet for the crossword, no direct sunlight on the TV and a certain amount of discretion about their various recreational activities - it seems so little to ask, and yet again, their wishes are so rarely granted. Once again, their bachelor bliss is disrupted when an unexpected guest rocks up in need of support, but will the trio be able to help?
There are other difficulties for Jazzer this week when he begins to comprehend the challenges that come with being attached to the Horrobin clan as Chelsea hatches a hare-brained scheme - and then goes a-hunting.

==================================================
Might there be an iron maiden in the Lower Loxley Hall cellars for Russ to find himself in?

No Blake, which is something of a relief because I find scenes with him in them sadly ill-written and tedious as a rule.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 10/10/2021 16:35

So it’s going to be Chelsea storming out of The Green and taking refuge with her new step-dad? Interesting …

Russ and Pip in the same week?

Thanks, nevertheless!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 10/10/2021 16:58

at least we have Shula.

Thanks @AskingQuestionsAllTheTime

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 10/10/2021 21:23

They didn't warn us in the cast-listings, but

Blake Goddard: Luke MacGregor

is also in the cast this week.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 16/10/2021 16:04

And here we go yet again with yet more information for anyone who cares:

BBC One-Liners
17 Oct Kenton and David have their eye on the prize but Justin isn’t in the mood for horseplay.
18 Oct Ruth welcomes an outsider and Ian is lost for words.
19 Oct There are first day nerves at Berrow and Shula has reservations.
20 Oct Lilian has a cunning plan and Jazzer faces an uphill struggle.
21 Oct Adam is forced to come clean and Jill puts the lid on an argument.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 17th - 21st October 2021
There are first day nerves at Berrow, where the new recruit is struggling to adapt. But events are set to take an unexpected turn when local irritant Martyn Gibson unveils a surprise plan. Can Jazzer save the day?
At the Dower House, meanwhile, Shula has some good news for Lilian - until Justin puts his foot down, that is. Will Lilian be able to negotiate an agreement that enables everyone to get what they want?
There's sibling rivalry at Brookfield, as David makes plans for the Harvest Supper, only to find Kenton muscling in. And there's trouble at Bridge Farm thanks to a labour shortage - but will the writers be bold enough to mention Brexit?

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 17th - 21st October 2021
Mooching around the byways of Ambridge these days, it’s difficult to know where you are. Old faces disappear without explanation, newcomers swarm in, forgotten returnees vie for attention, while lesser-known faces creep out of the woodwork. It’s all quite disturbing, but there may be a solution to the problem. A labour shortage at Bridge Farm brings fears that common scab might blight the carrots and E. coli flourish in the yoghurt. Perhaps some of these blow-ins could do a few shifts up there, leaving the rest of us to browse the sparsely stocked shelves of the village shop in peace? Meanwhile, Shula and Lilian form a worrying alliance, Adam springs a surprise on Ian, and Kenton worries about The Bull’s future.

==========================
The trouble is that in the case of Corey at least, I simply don't care, even slightly.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 16/10/2021 16:19

What was the name of Adam’s new boss? Abd has Adam a) resigned again or b) bought a house nearer to work - both without consultation?

Anyway, it all sounds intriguing. Thanks for the spoilers!

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 16/10/2021 18:08

Adam's new boss is called Christian Lancer Boyd.

Goodness only knows what damnfool thing Edam has now done, but I find it harder and harder to care what that spoilt, tantruming manchild gets up to.

ILoveHauls · 16/10/2021 19:48

Thanks Asking.
Shula and no Pip. Smile

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/10/2021 00:46

Thanks Asking

Not for the first time I find myself wondering if the writer of the Daily Mail Archers Update moves amongst us.

Madcats · 17/10/2021 12:23

Haven't they inflicted enough Bleak Blake on us!

There should be a rule banning more than one of Amy/Adam/Bleak/Alice being allowed to speak in the same week.

It can't be £ efficient to keep having random actors rock up to talk for a week and then disappear.

EdmontinaTiresofNameFlipping · 25/10/2021 08:53

Interesting …

EdmontinaTiresofNameFlipping · 25/10/2021 08:57

I’ve read ahead to Nov 11th - good spread of characters. (But how anyone has the patience to type it all out here is beyond my comprehension!)

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/10/2021 09:04

Copy and paste, when I do it, anyway! Thanks for the heads up, will have a look.

EdmontinaTiresofNameFlipping · 25/10/2021 14:36

A shock for Ruth, tonight - could be either Jill or Bert. But Ben is struggling with recent events later in the week - surely that must mean Jill??? (Teasers.)

EdmontinaTiresofNameFlipping · 25/10/2021 14:57

Okay, BBC teasers via The Ambridge Reporter, who helpfully have them all on one page. (So, easy to c&p.)

24 Oct Rex is left disappointed and who will take the spotlight at the Harvest Supper?
25 Oct There’s a shock for Ruth and Freddie jumps to conclusions.
26 Oct Ben struggles with recent events and Rex has regrets.
27 Oct An unexpected visitor causes disruption and Lily tries to look on the bright side.
28 Oct Jolene attempts to do the right thing and one resident comes to an emotional realisation.

31 Oct Kenton braces himself for disappointment and Lilian puts her plan into action.
01 Nov Harrison faces a dilemma and Toby is running out of options.
02 Nov Rex faces his future and Kirsty discovers a shocking plot.
03 Nov Kirsty is on a mission and Lilian puts her foot in it.
04 Nov Kirsty is left with an impossible choice and Tom and Natasha have expansion on their mind.

Don’t see any writers, or a cast list.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/10/2021 16:26

Trevor? High profile actor for a cameo.

I must say, looking at this cast list and thinking about last night I've got a very bad feeling about Jill. Sad It's Leonard's presence and the very Archer-heavy cast that suggests the worst to me.

Trevor was the name of Bert's son.

Of course! Thanks, Asking. Now I'm feeling better about Jill and that makes sense of the Rex/Toby spoilers.
