Kyle.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 26/09/2021 12:15

Once again I have as yet no Mail to pass on, so here's what I do have:

BBC One Liners
26 Sep There’s a huge shock for Kirsty and Brian attempts to plan for the future.
27 Sep Tracy struggles to keep her cool and Kirsty tries to make sense of the situation.
28 Sep Lynda goes into battle and Josh places his bets.
29 Sep Jennifer considers the options and Chelsea makes a big decision.
30 Sep Robert fears he may have overstepped the mark while Josh has reservations.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 26th - 30th September 2021
Beechwood is the nucleus of much drama as Lee makes an unexpected discovery that leads to more anguish for Kirsty. But her efforts to make sense of the situation go badly wrong, resulting in a shock incident that’ll have repercussions for more than one Ambridge family.
Lynda, meanwhile, feels duty-bound to support a kindred spirit - but when the Snells open up their home, Robert fears they’ve inadvertently made things worse.
Finally, Tracy is trying to keep her cool as the day of Chelsea’s first driving lesson dawns. But will this be a bonding session for mother and daughter? Or are they about to mirror, signal and manoeuvre their way into another argument?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 26/09/2021 12:17

Clearly the WhatsApp group last week was a red herring. And it now looks as if it all had nothing to do with Rob, too; just Helen self-dramatising like anything. (If so, the way she was talking about the police was fairly poor.)

Madcats · 26/09/2021 12:25

Lee's going to find somebody sleeping in the garden shed or something, isn't he?

I think I'll just be thankful that it's and Alice and Amy-free week.

FlosCampi · 26/09/2021 12:29

If it involves Kirsty it must be the reappearance of one of the horses, though I'm not sure how it would have repercussions for more than one family, unless Lynda takes in the lad who caused the fire?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 26/09/2021 14:30

Thanks, Asking! I see Chelsea gets a voice this week. Hmm.

Are Robert and Lynda going to offer to take Stella in at Ambridge Hall until she can find somewhere to buy or rent? I had the impression they'd stopped doing B&B but I suppose they might do this as a one off, short-term favour.

It has to be one of the slaves, doesn't it. He isn't in the cast list but that may be deliberate on the BBC's part. Alternatively, he might be found dead or unconscious. Sad

ILoveShula · 26/09/2021 14:46

Ambridge Hall will have a guest.
I think it's one of the horses.

Not sure what the repercussions for more than one family will be.

Thanks Asking

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 27/09/2021 22:37

The Snells and the Horrobins, also Helen-and-Lee possibly, Kirsty probably.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 28/09/2021 08:26

Thank you Asking.

Controversially, I’m rather enjoying Katie Hims’ writing this week.

Although raising an eyebrow at the idea that Helen would have picked a man as panicky and easily destabilised as Lee. (I couldn’t stand it.)

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 28/09/2021 11:19

He's male, he has a pulse, she's Helen. And he didn't run away very very fast like Leon and Cucumber Man Ross and even Greg, who shot himself in the head to get away from her.

We need to add

Blake: Luke MacGregor

to this week's cast-list.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 28/09/2021 16:31

Mail to hand.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 26th - 30th September 2021
Perhaps the soil from the bit of Bridge Farm that was flogged off to build the Beechwood estate was exhausted from decades of farming. That might explain why so many plots planted in this corner of Ambridge lack vigour and conviction. The currently shallowly rooted crop, sown among the new builds, takes a feeble turn as Lee makes an unexpected discovery that will lead to yet another terrible Beechwood incident. While we struggle to give attention to these events, we must also keep a weather eye open as we mooch around the rest of the village. A much-appreciated event comes to pass this week; Chelsea’s driving lesson. Tracy, her mother, is in the instructor’s seat, and having two Horrobins at large and on wheels should buck thing up a bit.

ILoveShula · 28/09/2021 18:00

Thanks Asking

I'd have thought that the plots on Beechwood had been nourished by cow manure

Tony was very specific that it was in the best heart of any land on the farm, when he was giving the reasons for them not to sell it; but maybe the Mail writer didn't hear that episode.

So it looks like Lynda will be taking Blake under her wing and into her nest.

Madcats · 29/09/2021 09:03

Is Beechwood anywhere near Justin's £M barns? I seem to remember a conversation about the land being poor quality so better off being built on.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 29/09/2021 11:40

Beechwood is on the far side of the Am from the rewilders' land, and Justin's barn or barns (it has always been unclear which, but barns in a gang nowhere near a farmhouse are fairly unusual) was or were said to be adjacent to the rewilding.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 02/10/2021 17:34

Here we go again with next week's horrors offering:

BBC One-Liners
03 Oct Lilian has her eyes on the prize while Josh wants to have his cake and eat it.
04 Oct Brian meets his match and Chelsea throws a spanner in the works.
05 Oct Ben is desperate to impress and Amy bares her soul.
06 Oct Vince is in the doghouse and Jazzer seeks an escape.
07 Oct Tensions mount at the BL board meeting while Jazzer plays it cool.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 3rd - 7th October 2021
It's Jill's birthday, but it's Beth Casey who's in focus as she tries to make a good impression on the Ambridge matriarch. Ben is praying that his gran likes his new girlfriend, but he hasn't accounted for Josh, who's scheming on the sidelines and planning to scupper things.
Over at Home Farm, Lilian hears a worrying rumour, which results in Brian being confronted with the honest truth from newcomer Stella. But will he be able to park his pride and actually listen to what she has to say? Chelsea, meanwhile, pulls the rug out from under her horrified mum, Tracy. And as tensions increase, Jazzer and Jim decide to seek solace in birdwatching - only to make a surprising discovery.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 3rd - 7th October 2021
How many of us have trained our field glasses on some twitching tussock, only to quickly swerve them away to avoid glimpsing something best left unseen? Yes indeed, bird-watching in Ambridge is not for the faint-hearted, as Jazzer and Jim find out to their cost when, in a bid to escape the tensions at No 6, they hie themselves to the bird hide and make a surprising discovery.
Brian makes his own far from pleasant discovery when Stella gives him a large helping of the honest truth, while a worrying rumour reaches Lilian’s ears, Justin wines and dines a mystery guest, and there’s some behind-the-scenes scheming by Josh.

(Why is Jim escaping from No 6?)

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 02/10/2021 18:15

Thanks, Asking. Although, from memory, Mr Stimson is my favourite SW.

I hope, after all Beth’s said about honesty, that it won’t be her discovered through binoculars, cavorting with the wrong Brookfield brother. Hmm

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 02/10/2021 19:57

You like on-air rape stuff? I quite went off his writing when he was being O'Connor's acolyte.

EdmontinaDonsAutumnalHues · 02/10/2021 20:26
Shock

I meant ‘he is not my favourite …’!

This phone is on a Last Warning. Angry

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 02/10/2021 22:00

Phew! For a minute there I was worried...

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 02/10/2021 22:07

I think Blake will be holed up in the hide.

Thanks, Asking!

Will Martyn Gibson finally remember to settle his golf club bar bill?

Let's just remind ourselves that Damara, Borchester Land and Home Farm are v different enterprises.

ILoveShula · 03/10/2021 17:54

Thanks Asking

Maybe Aimless and Kristiffur will be seen together.
