I'm sure you're right, Asking. I don't remember ever hearing Camilla before. I don't think we ever heard Julia either before Nigel's father died - was he Gerard or Gerald? One of the two.

If it is Nigel's sister, I am not sure she even had a surname before!

As far as I know Julia was silent until Elizabeth started to go to LL and talk to her.

Patricia Hodge along with Maria Aitken used to be the default go to if a cast needed a posh English character.

I hope she is Nigel's sister. I'm sure she can do a great line in being sympathetically withering about the shambles the Lower Loxley 3 have made.

Unless she's a friend/relative/colleague of Jim's, roped in for the "This is your life" thing.

If it’s Nigel’s sister, it would make sense as a ‘blast from the past’ for Elizabeth.

Maybe she could offer Freddie a job that really suits him. I don’t think I’ve got the patience for a contested inheritance storyline.

Could Leo be one of Tim O'Tay's friends? I would have thought he'd have been Lee.

Just remembered that I looked up the Leo actor last week - think he’s been in TA before in a small part. And is Australian and has won at least one award.

Not inconceivable that he might now be Frilly’s cousin - but wouldn’t they have given him a surname in that case?

For this week I have

Radio Times Ambridge Diary May 12-17
Will’s shocking behaviour last week is still the big issue, with relations having now broken down completely within the Grundy family. For his part, Will is attempting to brush everything under the carpet, but there’s no escape from an uninvited visitor with an axe to grind.
Freddie, meanwhile, is disappointed that his Lower Loxley initiative hasn’t paid off in the way he’d wanted it to. Later, Kenton is forced to deliver some harsh home truths about what happened in the time that Freddie was away.
And a cash-strapped Jazzer is disappointed when Ed cancels a shearing job for them both in favour of working with Tim. You can expect tensions to erupt when Jazzer attempts to get in on the scheme and Ed is forced to turn his friend away.

12 May Freddie is left disappointed and Clarrie has concerns.
13 May Ed is forced to let down a friend and Tony debates what to do for the best.
14 May Will has an uninvited guest and Tracy’s tactics get her into trouble.
15 May Jim comes to the rescue and Kenton is forced to deliver some home truths.
16 May Elizabeth offers support and David is on the warpath.
17 May It all gets too much for Freddie and Tom fears the worst.

and the Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update May 12-17

Lenten money and bunting should be kept under armed guard in the hotbed of crime which is Ambridge; they have a nasty habit of disappearing.
A hue and cry goes up for the thief who’s taking the gaily coloured triangular flags, while money worries wash up at many a door.
Kenton and David finally have the financial showdown that Kenton has been avoiding, Jazzer thrashes around the countryside, looking for ways to scratch up some cash, and Freddie realises how his actions have drained the Lower Loxley coffers dry.
Tom, shackled to a wife who treats money with the contempt she feels it deserves, gnaws his fingers down to the knuckles, worrying about the future, while Will, despite last week’s meltdown, pretends all is well.

I think maybe I ought just to give what I have for each week all in one post and not go too far ahead. What do people feel about it?

Radio Times Ambridge Diary May 19-24
Following the recent death of actor Edward Kelsey, we can now confirm that his last scenes as Joe Grundy (recorded in April) will air this week. Presently, the production team at The Archers are considering storylines beyond these episodes.
As for what’s in store for listeners now - well, you’ll hear Joe’s grandson Ed struggling under the weight of deception as someone gets dangerously close to discovering what’s going on, and Ed takes his frustrations out on a loved one.
There’s tension at Lower Loxley as a blast from Elizabeth’s past soon makes her feelings on recent developments clear. Still battling depression, will Elizabeth have the mental strength to fight off the invader?

Another ‘poor Ed’ week ...

If 'Leo' is Australian, couldn't he be a sheep shearer - competition for Ed and Jazzer? Stoking up the tension for them both work wise?

OK, as the likely threadstarter over on the main thread, this confirms for me that Joe is not going to die this month. Do others agree? There have been suggestions Joe's death should be central to the next thread title. I can't say over there what the spoilers indicate but I think we're looking at June. Maybe people want to honour Edward Kelsey, and it's true his death hasn't been mentioned on a thread title since it happened (23rd April).

Can’t we honour the voice of Joe Grundy? I agree it sounds as if he won’t be dying ‘on screen’ next week.
