Oh, oh! I almost started a new Home Front thread yesterday! I agree, it is utterly superb.

So is anyone going to put money on Lilian being in deep do do's now? She 's not Mrs Naive for nothing. Maybe a quick flight to Jersey is in the offing?

Yes, I reckon there will be some problem with the money Matt paid her, and Justin will do a bunk now he has the Dower House and Lilian will be left partnerless and homeless and penniless.

It never fails to amaze me how someone supposedly in the property trade can be quite so naive. Although I do wonder if Amside (nowadays, post-Matt) ever stretches itself beyond just doing a bit of magnolia paint interior decoration and rolling over existing tenancies.

To be fair, how many people would know a dedicated fraud line actually exists? I don't think it would occur to me. I suppose if I wanted to report a fraud I'd just aim to phone my local copshop and take it from there.

Did anyone notice that Harrison was 'ma' ming' his superior? she was the policewoman who had interviewed Lil.

Is it not the case that we didn’t hear her being put through to the dedicated fraud line when she dialled 101? So she probably was transferred.

Why did that DI have a Fake London accent ? It would have been marginally less unconvincing if she had a Brummie accent.

Isn’t the point that while Lilian thinks she is reporting a fraud, from the police point of view it’s all important information in the Matt accident whodunnit? They’re probably not that fussed about investigating the actual alleged fraud.
