Thanks, DDD! I followed a link from Twitter which is probably what went wrong. I see others had already mentioned the new column anyway, but it can't be flagged often enough in my view.

I think I may have said it on the last thread (or possibly on the spoilers thread, but it isn't a spoiler as it's pure hunch) - my money's on Chalkie, Matt's erstwhile business partner, who went to prison at the same time as Matt and IIRC has threatened him more than once. But there are lots of flaky associates of Matt's who might have run him down. It stands out like a sore thumb that it isn't going to be an Ambridge resident.

I was very impressed too when finding out NBS’s age, D3. That is a great column she writes. Thanks to everyone who flagged it up. We often read the G here, but didn’t get one on Tuesday.

Amazed at all the Josh love - only been listening for about a year but have found him intensely flakey. Family businesses are awful for taking advantage of the kids though.

I don't love Josh. But I feel sorry for him and don't blame him for being selfish. It's how he's been brought up. Look after number one because your folks sure as hell won't!

I don't love Josh, but I dislike unfairness, and that is what is being depicted as between him and Pip.

If he has any sense, he'll move out as soon as possible so that the Dopeys can no longer hold over him that they're providing him with accommodation and office space, and make it clear that he's not going to be their farm hand any more. With any luck, Ben would join him.

Shame auntie Liz only seems willing to put up the one who has her own home. Is there any reason Josh can't move into rickyard? Other than his parents being knobs

Toby who actually bought Pip breakfast, he is growing up. Only to be slapped in the face with the "No stress, casual relationship" from her. He should dump HER this time!

Isn't it amazing how really annoying characters get so much less annoying when played against pip.

To be fair, Pip was the one who got the farming degree.
Josh decided to end education after A Levels and, if it wasn't for the Brookfield set-up, would be another Ed/Jazzer. I think that he would be far better off going the same route as Chris or Jamie - getting an apprenticeship and learning a trade. He could then make his expensive, rookie errors in somebody else's business before setting up on his own. He wants to run before he can walk.

We used to have inter-generational conflict between Phil and David. The SW have decided not to repeat that with David and Pip so the conflict is with Josh instead.

But why would he bother doing a farming degree when it's been made clear pip will get the farm. He's trying to carve out a career for himself which will eventually take him off the farm but he gets no support to do so

Talking of inter-generational angst, I loved the little comment that Ian made before that lunch on Wednesday when he told Adam to change his shirt because it looked like something Brian would wear. arf.

That made me smile too R$. I love the way Adam muttered darkly "I'll go and change"

No - she's paying for building the ladies' changing rooms for the cricket club.

If she uses all the proceeds then those will be some impressive changing rooms! Are we to expect a visit from TMS to commentate on Ambridge CC v South Africa? Noluthando would like that.

Sorry, the comment re Auntie Chris's cruise was because I reckon the raffle prize (donated by Matt's boss) won't actually exist.
