No, not on purpose. I think he got the anesthetic wrong. And it will show up on post mortem.

I’d be pretty annoyed with a veterinary practice that just guessed the weight of an animal they were about to put under a general anaesthetic. I hope the owner sues them.

Never been convinced by the veterinary medical details, were they meant to be doing a castration ? That could be done under local anaesthetic.

I must say I'm enjoying the Kate/Noli interaction - it's about time someone told her that most mothers don't just disappear when their marriage breaks down. Not that it seemed to impact her in any way whatsoever.

Bert let me tell you a true story We seem to be the mad cat people in our village ( we collect their strays). Well we had a really lovely mongrel scottish fold 'blue' who we took to, and he to us, but he needed vet treatment so we managed to get him in the basket and drove him there.

He was affronted before but when released in the vet's office he literally leapt\ ran round the walls scattering all the papers off the desk and yowling. We were so amazed we just had to let him straight back in the basket. We were ALL frightened of him!! He just disappeared soon after. Obviously not impressed by his visit to the vets!!

How they recorded the horse emergency scene - fascinating, but just to warn you, it does contain cast photos!

I’m kind of pleased other listeners were unsure what species of animal was operated on. I was too. Thought it might be a dog. I liked reading the link from Mrs AS. Thank you. One of my sons works in theatre - drama not surgery. I find it fascinating how they do props, sounds and so forth.

I've just heard a report on the BBC Local News evening programme. Some woman heard about Hull being the City of Culture, thought and decided to go one better so they have declared themselves the Village of Culture 2017. I'm not sure why it is a news item now because the Year of Culture started back in April but anyways ...

Tonight was quite good. I liked Brine and Nolithando questioning Kate’s choices. I didn’t like Roy lying to Oliver about the argument in the restaurant.

I loved Phoebe's last comment about there now being two of them.
