Thanks, R4, for the title (again!).

I'm your temporary host while PseudoBadger is on her sabbatical / prison term / secret mission.

Old hands and complete newbies all welcome.

Spoilers (eg Radio Times descriptions of future programmes) not welcome.

When will Matt reappear? Before / during / after the wedding?

The floor is yours...

Yup - Coriander's partner. I'm sure it was his name first!

(Perfectly reasonable in RL - but I suspect a consequence of lack of Archivist in TA.)

hplove · 06/10/2017 15:34

That's what I thought gruach

Bekabeech · 06/10/2017 15:53

I’m not sure you can blame the name duplication on the lack of archivist. It seems more to me like a deliberate policy.
So there was Phil, is now Pip but a plumber/builder was recently called Philip. Then there is Christine and Christopher both known as Chris. Then George and in the past George Barford. Never mind Ed and Eddie.

If Justin (Corrander’s ) partner begins to speak I’m sure everyone will call him Just or something (except over correct ILs).

Ceto · 06/10/2017 16:47

Peggy won't like the fact that Christine is able to make big financial gestures.

selsigfach · 06/10/2017 18:17

I think Woodbine annoyed Fallon and Harrison because they didn't like the old lady decor and pink carpets but now they can get it just how they want, it will be perfect for them.

selsigfach · 06/10/2017 18:17

*Woodvine

BertrandRussell · 06/10/2017 18:25

It wasn't the decor- they were falling out because of the lack of space.

R4 · 06/10/2017 19:03

You were right the first time. It's Woodbine aka honeysuckle.

AuldHeathen · 06/10/2017 19:40

Woodbine and honeysuckle are different cottages surely? Maybe l’ve misunderstood your meaning, R4. I think there must be a page on bbc site about all the cottages and who lives where. l keep forgetting details like that. I know Honeysuckle was where Siobhan lived with her husband the GP. Who owns it now? I’ve even forgotten the cottage Helen and Knob had - though l know it is Usha's. Who is there now? Did Richard thing rent it?

I wondered if Peggy would be annoyed at Christine selling her house. It’ll be harder to evict her now. How many hard scones can a person take?

I hope Lilian dumps Justin thoroughly- no second chances or such. I hope too Matt refuses to sell him the house. I like the idea above of Justin being poorer than he seems. I also hope he’ll turn out to be more crooked, get caught and get a prison sentence. Ideally a longer Oe than Matt got for his crookedness. The SWs owe us that after letting Knob get away, to Minnesota no less.

AuldHeathen · 06/10/2017 19:42

If Harrison gets lots of overtime they’ll be able to get the conservatory they were talking about a few months ago.Smile

BertrandRussell · 06/10/2017 19:43

Weren't helrob in Blossom Hill Cottage?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/10/2017 19:47

Ian and Adam live in Honeysuckle now.

Helen and Rob were in Blossom Hill, Usha's cottage. Anisha rents it now. Years ago Usha lived there with Richard. Usha bought it from Peggy who lived there before she married Jack Woolley.

R4 · 06/10/2017 19:51

Sorry AH, it was badly worded (writing in a rush, wrong time of day to be posting!)
Harrison and Fallon live at Woodbine Cottage. Woodbine is another name for honeysuckle / lonicera
Adam and Ian live at Honeysuckle Cottage.

AuldHeathen · 06/10/2017 19:55

Thanks for putting me right, folks. My memory is quite rubbish these days.

C8H10N4O2 · 06/10/2017 20:42

I've just been looking at Woodbine which seems larger than the 2 up 2 down terraced cottage in my minds eye.

TheAntiBoop · 06/10/2017 21:28

Interesting link. I didn't realise the numbers on the green were council houses

C8H10N4O2 · 06/10/2017 21:35

I didn't realise the numbers on the green were council houses

I think most of them are now in private hands. I couldn't remember if, when Susan and Neil lived there, they rented from the council or were buying it.

Most of the pictures are vaguely in line with the pictures in my head. I presume Brookfield is missing because they haven't worked out how to draw in the disappearing and multiplying bedrooms!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/10/2017 21:50

I think they bought it and I have a vague memory of Susan being very proud of their new front door. Wasn't it stated explicitly that Bert was still a council tenant and Tracy moved in with him in the hope of inheriting the tenancy? Or have I got that confused, which is very likely. Grin

C8H10N4O2 · 06/10/2017 21:52

Gasp0de

I think you are correct on both counts - that front door being different from the others rings a vague and distant bell. I definitely remember Tracey hoping to inherit the tenancy, presumably still the same house on The Green.

DadDadDad · 06/10/2017 21:56

Did anyone catch Ed this evening telling Emma this was the way to grow the herd? Herd!?

I always thought sheep came in flocks (but rams come in little bottles apparently. Grin).

I remember Susan’s pride in her new front door. Smile That was probably at the height of Thatcher’s buy to let-ism.

AuldHeathen · 07/10/2017 16:29

Goodness, more talking bollocks from me in the early hours. I have no idea why l mentioned ‘buy to let’ as of course the selling off of council houses was a different concept altogether.Blush I am now awake but have no more to add on TA at this time. Grin

Binkybix · 07/10/2017 21:28

Hello all. Very sporadic poster here!

Sorry to go back to the dead horse, but it seemed really weird to me that they knocked the horse out and only then did Anisha scrub up. Isn’t the idea to minimise the time under?!

Bekabeech · 07/10/2017 22:00

I thought that too Binkybix

Wauden · 08/10/2017 13:33

Confused of Ambridge here!
Can anyone clarify the situation with the house that Justin and Lillian are living in for me please? Are these correct?!?

Dower House - Lil lived in it but Matt owned it and agreed to sell to her for a reasonable price?

Does Matt still owe Lil money?!?

Is the document Lil refuses to sign include handing over the house to Justin? Why would she agree to that?

Amside- is this a family business or Lil's own ? Why does Justin want Lil to agree to a merger with his business (Demara)?
Thank you, lovely peeps.
