Discuss TA (The Archers). New posters encouraged - it's not (too) cliquey here and plenty of regulars are happy to answer questions.

One rule: no spoilers (ie no mentioning future plot teasers from Radio Times listings etc) - there's a separate thread for that.

So, is Phoebe pregnant? will Anisha dob in (dobbin - geddit?) Alistair?

Adam is 50, and I always thought Ian was a similar age to him.

The Who's Who doesn't say how old Ian is. What I don't understand is how they will manage a baby - they both go on at length about the excessive hours they work. Will Ian become a SAHP so Grey Gables will need a new chef as well as a new owner? Perhaps he can put in a few shifts at The Ambridge Tea Service, just to keep his hand in, or help JD with catering at the shoot.

Oh gosh yes - I had completely forgotten that, I was remembering Brian as following Annabel with his tongue hanging out. Or more likely both of them.

I don't remember Annabel ever showing the slightest interest in them beyond business - wasn't there a mysterious 'other person' we never met?

I know nothing about this but I would have thought they would be lucky to adopt a baby at their age. They may need a surrogate?

Previously didn't Ian have a friend who wanted him to father a child with her because her boyfriend (Declan?) had let her down. Then she found another boyfriend and it was all off again.

If we're going with the pedantry aspect, the law doesn't recognise homosexual relationships as adulterous, it only counts piv regardless of whether the marriage is between a same-sex or opposite-sex couple. So none of them are technically adulterers, except Justin.

Toby and Lily would make a formidable pair. Bet you anything SHE is the events planner he's texting, unknown to him.

It'll be the women Roy went out with, won't it? They're telling us that, far from having loads of women throwing themselves at Toby as he likes to pretend, he's actually going to a dating agency.

Yes it was kit. I also assume that now Roy and Lexi are together she will stay in ambridge and forget she has children etc.

Elizabeth's affair with Fairfather. Years ago. I somehow missed that period of TA so only know about it from reading here and on TA site.

I'm expecting a long storyline for Roy, Lexi and Lexi's kids. It'll all tie in with Brexit - can Lexi stay, will she be deported, will Roy move to Bulgaria, will Roy be left holding the baby (again), when Lexi is deported, etc etc

The fragrant Hayley as nanny to IanAdam sprog? Or could they adopt an older child? One with additional support needs perhap? And that would indicate Huge Canoe isn't scared of disability.

Of course if they involve a local person as surrogate then we're set for d cases of another three parent child (after Phoebe and George) so it wouldn't be a new story. I'd prefer someone on another continent - leaving Adam and Ian with full responsibiliry.

As an adopter, I would love them to do an adoption storyline. I thought they were going that way with Roy and Hayley, and again with Helen, but they swerved it each time.
As long as it takes them at least a year from starting, and preferably 2. And also that it goes OK, but not simply tripping off into the sunset either.

I'm going with Kirsty as surrogate/coparent.

Caroline and Oliver were foster parents. I seem to recall that it took them a while to jump through hoops before they had a placement.

Ceto I think that Caroline and Oliver were foster parents of older children (they mentioned one of them at her funeral).
