Yay! I was right about Debbie Grin

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/06/2018 07:10

They would never recast Debbie, would they? I know Tamsin Grieg is very, very busy these days, but nobody could ever replace her.

Thanks, Gump!

Gumpendorf · 29/06/2018 15:59

It's Tamsin Grieg for next week and the following week. Maybe she is the old face and appears to guide Brian at the end of next week's episodes.

Cast for w/c 8 July www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0b94wzf

Phew! Thanks, Gump. I think you're right that she's the old face. Hope so, anyway.

Gruach · 29/06/2018 17:00

Great!

Thanks Gump

Bibesia · 06/07/2018 08:32

They seem to be unusually slow to put up the trailers at the moment. My money's on the Frilly storylines coming to a head.

Gumpendorf · 06/07/2018 21:29

Radio Times
8 July - 13 July
Life at Home Farm is beginning to resemble those boardroom sketches from A Bit of Fry and Laurie where Stephen Fry used to yell damn a lot and slosh whisky in Hugh Laurie’s face. This week, we have Brian apportioning blame for Jennifer’s current state of mind, while Adam becomes frustrated that certain members of the board are trying to crush the others. Ruth, meanwhile, begins to question her future as Ruairi’s attorney.

There is light relief over at Ambridge Hall where Robert is trying to fix a whack a mole machine, while Lynda continues to rehearse Monty’s party piece. And who will open the village fete? My money is on either Big Narstie or Kem from Love Island

Cast:
Ruth, David, Josh
Kenton, Justin
Brian, Jennifer, Debbie,
Kate, Alice, Adam
Lynda, Robert
Neil, Susan, Emma
Alistair, Anisha, Jim
Rex, Toby, Hannah

Gumpendorf · 06/07/2018 21:34

There's only one update to the mini spoilers.

8 July. Brian apportions blame, and Emma makes a stand.
9 July. An old face returns to Ambridge, and Robert has a challenge on his hands.
10 July. Ruth considers her options, and Anisha attempts to explain.
11 July. Kate admits her true feelings, and David offers a solution.
12 July. Jennifer comes to a painful decision, and Susan has a cunning plan.
13 July. Brian finds himself at a crossroads, and Neil is compromised.

15 July. Alice struggles to come to terms with recent events and Freddie looks to the future.

OP posts:
Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/07/2018 11:14

Thanks, Gump! I hope Debbie's contributions are fairly substantial.

Bibesia · 12/07/2018 10:25

More updates now.

12 July. Jennifer comes to a painful decision, and Susan has a cunning plan.
13 July. Brian finds himself at a crossroads, and Neil is compromised.
15 July. Alice struggles to come to terms with recent events and Freddie looks to the future.
16 July. Shula is shocked by a request, and Jennifer causes concern.
17 July. Lilian discovers the truth, and Alistair considers his options.
18 July. Brian's day goes from bad to worse, and Joe is left in an embarrassing position.
19 July. There's an emergency for Toby, and Johnny is touched by an act of kindness.
20 July. Jennifer's heart breaks, and Jazzer inadvertently leads a friend down a dark path.
22 July. Pip is in trouble, and Neil finds himself torn.
23 July. Rex comes to the rescue, and Phoebe smells a rat.
24 July. There's a shock for Anisha and an emotional farewell at Home Farm.
25 July. Toby has an announcement to make, and Alice attempts to be diplomatic.
26 July. Lily comes clean, and Emma is left disappointed.

Looks like Home Farm is on the market and miniPip is about to be inflicted on us.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/07/2018 11:14

Thanks, Bibesia! Looks like Rex is going to tell Anisha he's not going with her. Quelle surprise.

Emotional farewell at Home Farm? They can't possibly sell it that quickly. Debbie staying till 24th July? I hope she does, as I adore Debbie, but that's a long time.

IalwayswantedtobeBeth · 12/07/2018 11:49

Mmm. I love guessing these.

Jennifer comes to a painful decision - I can only think that they decide to sell the house?

Brian finds himself at a crossroads - selling the house makes him realise he really is being retired?

Alice struggles to come to terms with recent events - I don't understand Alice as a character yet so can't guess.

Shula is shocked by a request - Toby wants to be at the birth? (yuk)

Jennifer causes concern - I have been worried about Jennifer's health for sometime. I hope it's nothing drastic.

Lilian discovers the truth - mmm, about what … the housing project?

Alistair considers his options - none of them seem good but I have a feeling he will walk away with more of Shula's money than I think he deserves.

There's an emergency for Toby, Pip is in trouble, Rex comes to the rescue - I suspect the birth is spread over three episodes - not sure that rings true but just a guess.

There's a shock for Anisha - Either Rex isn't coming or Alistair read my thoughts about his options. I do hope it's the former; I can't cope with Shula (who I like as a well drawn character) feeling any more guilt.

Toby has an announcement to make - are we having a clear-out of characters?

Lily comes clean - oh, thank heavens. That story-line is well out of time.

Emma is left disappointed - Emma will be shattered if they can't have their house I hope it's just something more simple.

Thank you Bibesia. Now to wait and find out just how wrong I am Smile

MrsArthurShappey · 12/07/2018 12:35

From last night's episode Debbie is only home for a week, so unless she extends that it doesn't make sense for it to be her tearful farewell. Kate maybe? Moving out and taking Spiritual Homes with her?

Bibesia · 12/07/2018 15:13

I thought Debbie could be bidding an emotional farewell to Home Farm on the basis that she won't see it again if a decision is made to sell it.

I suspect the request that shocks Shula is Alastair needing more money to buy out Anisha. Toby's announcement may simply be the birth of miniPip.

Gruach · 13/07/2018 08:35

Thanks all!

I have a Brighton feeling ...

Boswellox · 13/07/2018 21:35

Debbie hooking up with Alistair, anyone?

Gruach · 13/07/2018 22:04

I wouldn’t be keen. Not just because she could do a million times better, but also because I like Debbie unattached and audibly not ‘needing’ a man. Really don’t want to see her tamed and domestic and washing someone’s socks ...

Gumpendorf · 14/07/2018 08:43

Thanks for updating bibesia. More here but Fridays seem a challenge atm. Smile

15 July. Alice struggles to come to terms with recent events and Freddie looks to the future.

Radio Times
15 July - 20 July

Recent shock events may have rocked the Aldridges, but that doesn’t stop Jennifer from trying to put on a brave face. Lilian, however is getting suspicious and soon spots something is amiss . Will Jennifer be able to throw Lilian off the scent? Or is the truth destined to come out and reach Peggy’s ears as well?

Tensions simmer between Lily and Freddie with Elizabeth insisting she is proud of both her children. But Lily is seething at Freddie‘s plans – knowing full well where he got the cash from to fund them. Mediation takes an unpleasant turn for the Hebden- Lloyds when Alistair makes a bid to protect his interests and Shula puts her foot down. And a panic at Brookfield leads to an important question for Ruth.

Cast:
Ruth, Pip
Tony, Lilian, Johnny, Peggy
Brian, Jennifer, Debbie,
Kate, Alice, Adam
Lynda, Jazzer
Joe, Emma, Ed
Elizabeth, Lily, Freddie
Alistair, Anisha,
Toby, Fallon, Lance

OP posts:
Bibesia · 14/07/2018 10:23

Who's Lance? Midwife, doctor?

MikeUniformMike · 16/07/2018 14:14

I think Lance is the Mediator. Unless it is Minipip.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/07/2018 16:28

Mediator is a good guess, but he could also be an estate agent coming to value Home Farm.

Thanks, Gump!

Radio Times
22 July - 27 July

The Ambridge fête proves to be a hotbed of tension, what with Emma attempting to publicise her battle over the affordable houses plus Lynda and Lilian nearly coming to blows over accusations of cheating during the Pets Party Pieces competition. No wonder judge Neil is at the end of his tether.

There’s also drama at Brookfield as PIP finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time – but with Ruth distracted and Toby unavailable, will anyone come to her rescue? Elizabeth’s attempts to support Lily backfire when she encourages her daughter to be honest with Phoebe about her “sexuality”.

Finally, Jill gets a blast from the past, Alistair struggles to swallow his pride and there are two emotional goodbyes.

Cast:
Jill, David, Ruth, Pip, Josh
Brian, Jennifer, Debbie, Phoebe
Alice, Chris, Adam
Neil, Susan, Emma
Lynda,Lilian
Rex, Toby
Elizabeth, Lily
Shula, Alistair, Anisha

OP posts:
TheMadGardener · 17/07/2018 18:12

Rex is soooooo going to end up delivering the baby or driving Pip to hospital when in labour.

Emotional goodbyes...Debbie? Someone dies? Freddie going on his gap year probably wouldn't be that emotional. Russ tells Lily it's over?? The emotional goodbye I would most like to see is Kate packing her yurts and taking them far, far away but unlikely to happen...

Jill''s blast from the past - bet the Pip baby gets called Grace!!

MrsArthurShappey · 18/07/2018 14:03

Jill's blast from the past will presumably be Robin Fairbrother won't it, coming to meet his new grandchild?
