Thanks, Gump. So Oliver is back. Oh dear. I will be a wreck when Caroline dies. I am so over-infested in TA anyway, but when they have to kill off a character because the actor has died, it really gets to me. Sad

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/07/2017 23:05

Thanks Gump

Looks like I was right about Carolne/Ollie then.

Further prediction: The Ambridge Housing Fairy will strike again and Auntie Cardboard will offer to sell Woodbine Cottage to Fallon & Harrison.

Gumpendorf · 08/07/2017 08:58

FlowersGasp0. Caroline was one of the main characters when I first started listening.

Well done, Bore! I'm a bit behind with my listening but caught last night's episode and wondered if Fallon and Harrison's house hunting may be intended as a counter argument to the Bridge Farm estate nimbys.

Radio Times
16 to 21 July 2017
In the wake of the recent tragedy, Shula is planning a memorial, but wonders whether Alan is the right person for the job. And an old face returns to Ambridge in the aftermath of the drama – but while some are comforted by his arrival, others fear for their future…
Matt is still styling himself on Ken Masters from Howard's Way when he stands accused by a riled up Justin of sabotaging the Investor's Day event. At the two men go head to head, who will ultimately come out on top – and where does all this leave Lilian?
Plus the Grundys are forced to accommodate some unwelcome guests, and tensions rise at Home Farm as Ruth faces her first partnership meeting.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 11/07/2017 09:38

Sad Thanks, Gump. I wish I could care more about Justin, but I don't, much.

Ceto · 15/07/2017 14:54

Old face returning to Ambridge? Any likely candidates?

TheAntiBoop · 15/07/2017 15:00

Oliver

Gumpendorf · 15/07/2017 15:02

I'm presuming it's Oliver given the fact he comforts some (Shula) and makes others fear for their survival (the Grundys). I'm usually wrong on these things though Grin.

Michael Cochrane is in the cast list.

OP posts:
Gumpendorf · 15/07/2017 15:36

Xpost but I'm reassured because Antiboop is usually spot on Smile

OP posts:
TheAntiBoop · 15/07/2017 16:02

Well my reasoning is the same as yours!!

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/07/2017 10:53

Yep. Got to be Ollie. I predict that somehow this will end up with the Grundys staying on the farm on. apermanent basis. A new proper tenant farmer set up?

Gumpendorf · 17/07/2017 20:06

Radio Times
23 to 28 July 2017

We're promised "shocking consequences" as events spiral out of control at a protest against the closure of the Happy Friends Café. All we know is that Jill is on the scene (so the assembled mass won't need a megaphone). Could she end up embroiled in a full-scale riot?

Lilian continues to find herself caught between two warring suitors as Justin plots to ruin Matt, who is being urged to apologise and stop causing trouble. With tension at fever pitch, will Lilian get the response she wants?

Finally, the Ambridge residents come together to mourn a friend. But as tributes are paid, it's clear that one member of the community definitely isn't coping well with their loss...

OP posts:
Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/07/2017 12:18

Thanks, Gump!

TheAntiBoop · 19/07/2017 14:01

So Jill is going down. Excellent.

Ceto · 19/07/2017 14:38

Maybe Harrison will end up having to lock Jill up? That could be good.

If Matt is dangling a bait, it sounds like he could end up getting the better of Justin. In a Machiavelli contest, I'd back Matt every time.

Gruach · 24/07/2017 16:43

Heavens!

For a moment I wondered if this might be Jill's final week in Ambridge. What with the (did they say week-long?) Woman's Hour gig. That would be shocking. Had forgotten about Caroline ...

Gumpendorf · 24/07/2017 16:52

Radio Times
30th July to 4th August

It's good to see that Matt Crawford hasn't lost his touch. Despite having only been back for a mere couple of months, he's managed to get on the wrong side of just about everybody.

Alistair certainly isn't keen on Anisha doing business with him, while Rex is also voicing his concern about the issue. And it's not just in business that Matt is causing ructions: Lilian is struggling to fight her feelings for her old love as she sets a date for her wedding to current love Justin. I predict some very messy nuptials.

Elsewhere, Adam installs CCTV to put the pickers' minds at rest following the daubing of racist graffiti on the caravans. Plus Roy reveals to Kirsty that he's developed a crush on a fellow villager. But who?

Gruach - there's also a feature interview with Patricia Greene in next week's RT. It's her 60th year in TA. Happy to post screenprint if anyone is interested.
