I can definitely see the possibility BoW. That would be the second man bringing up his brothers child in Ambridge though. Perhaps this is more common than I knew Smile

Gruach · 13/06/2018 12:11

Simply because there’s already a brotherly relationship triangle in the village - I’d hope they avoid another one.

And it was very noticeable that when she was asked about names Pip replied that ‘we’ havent decided yet. They do seem to be implying that she’s planning shared parenthood with Tobeeee.

Bibesia · 13/06/2018 12:44

I suspect Russ's roving eye is moving onto suitable fodder from next year's students. He seems like the type to want easy victims that he can control/impress easily.

dairyfarmerswife · 13/06/2018 12:51

Rex declares his lurve for Pip

Or Hannah? Thought I noticed a bit of interest from him the other night

5000FingersofDrT · 13/06/2018 12:54

Russ's wife - the one he's 'practically separated from' - is pregnant?

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/06/2018 13:07

Hmm... good point dfw

Think you may be on to something there.

Radio Times
17 - 22 June

After what feels like months of planning, Ruth’s 50th birthday has arrived and the party looks set to be a night to remember. With Jennifer panicking, Kate making a misguided attempt to enjoy herself and Kenton unveiling his big surprise, you have to wonder if there’s they’ll be any actual celebrating going on.

Elsewhere, we have rehearsals beginning for the pet talent show at the fête. When Lynda criticises Ruby, Lilian declares war. Neil enlists Chris’s help to recruit a younger batch of bellringers in preparation for Armistice Day. Will an attempt to show Harrison the ropes proved to be successful? Finally, Will suffers yet another setback, but Eddie isn’t convinced that it’s entirely bad news.

Quite a few changes in the cast this week

Cast:
Ruth, Pip, David, Josh, Jill
Kenton, Helen, Tom
Jennifer, Phoebe, Kate, Lilian
Neil, Chris, Alice
Rex, Toby
Joe, Eddie, Will
Usha, Harrison, Lynda, Anisha

OP posts:
Bibesia · 15/06/2018 02:12

Maybe Will's setback is Usha telling him he hasn't got a chance in hell of getting residence orders for Nic's children?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/06/2018 07:44

Thanks, Gump! Can't help wondering if we're going to hear from Anisha that she's decided to move back to Scotland to be nearer her family. That would be a blow for Rex and Alistair. Anisha actress is clearly much in demand elsewhere so maybe they've decided to get rid of the character.

Gumpendorf · 19/06/2018 18:18

An old face returns to Ambridge - please, please let this not be Rob. Wasn't there some talk of this recently? Sad

Thanks, Gump!

Radio Times
24 - 29 June
The teen angst at Lower Loxley shows no sign of abating thanks to Ellis’s arrival on the scene. Lily and Freddie will both go to extremes to prevent their secrets from being uncovered, but which of the siblings is in the deepest?

There’s subterfuge and recrimination among the old guard, too, when Lilian lets slip some information that disturbs Pat – all of which leads to an angry confrontation with Justin.

At Brookfield, Josh isn’t keen to put himself out to support Pip. And, as has become the norm, there are fireworks at Home Farm when Brian finds himself backed into a corner after Kate calls an emergency partners meeting. Will someone end up making an almighty sacrifice in order to save the Aldridges?

Cast:
Ruth, David, Josh,
Pat, Helen, Tom
Brian, Jennifer, Phoebe, Kate, Adam

Thanks Gumpendorf.

BoreOfWhabylon · 21/06/2018 22:23

Thanks Gump. Cast list not giving away who the 'old face' is then.

Gumpendorf · 22/06/2018 09:25

The old face is the w/c 8 July, Bore so we're not there yet. I really hope it's not Rob, I don't want to go there again.

OP posts:
BoreOfWhabylon · 22/06/2018 10:38

I agree Gump.

They have hundreds to choose from after all.

Ooh, just thought, high likelihood that Debbie would put in an appearance if decisions need to be made re the Aldridge empire.

Gruach · 22/06/2018 12:14

Taps foot ..

I’m still waiting to hear how Brenda is faring. Wasn’t she engaged to some Canary Wharf dude last time we heard from her? As all her family (except Roy and Phoebe) have left Ambridge I guess she could have got married without our hearing about it. She’s sure to come back when she gets divorced.

To throw a spanner in all the pairing up works ... (I love Brenda.)

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/06/2018 12:43

I love Brenda too. Didn't she hook up with an oligarch?

I want her to sweep back in to Ambridge, buy up a massive property and install Moike, Vickoi and Bethany.

Gruach · 22/06/2018 13:11

D’you mean the Russian? That was Ambridge Extra. Though we were given the impression that the new guy was also in a position to proffer diamonds as big as the Ritz.

I have Brenda lined up as the next Lilian, so massive property buying absolutely has to happen. Along with extravagant Auntness in relation to her two nieces and Fairy-godmotherliness to her half-sister.

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/06/2018 13:24

YesYes!

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/06/2018 13:25

Maybe she'll buy up the land the Aldridge's have to sell. That would work.

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/06/2018 13:36

sorry about errant apostrophe!

Gumpendorf · 22/06/2018 15:33

Yes to Debbie or Brenda, too! Grin
