I've always thought that Shula is guilty of the hit and run.

BoreOfWhabylon · 27/03/2018 20:22

MysticBore™️ has always maintained Smugula dunnit.

ItsAllDoomAndGloom · 28/03/2018 00:00

With you on the Shula theory! Will they ever tell us if were right... Hmm

PrincessFiorimonde · 28/03/2018 00:35

Long-time lurker just marking my place ...

Mootsie · 28/03/2018 19:31

Could Freddie be the one who dunnit?

Gumpendorf · 28/03/2018 21:27

Freddie isn't listed in next week's cast either. Justin and Lilian, Alastair and Shula, and Adam and Ian are the only members listed in next week's cast who have been under suspicion.

Having said that, Freddie or Alice or whoever may be missing from the published list deliberately, for whatever reason. They may still appear. It happens. 😉

Bekabeech · 28/03/2018 21:59

Is Debbie listed? Are we going to hear her?

Gruach · 28/03/2018 22:07

Debbie flew in, knocked down Matt and jumped on the next plane out?

Grin
Gumpendorf · 29/03/2018 08:22

Jill, Pat, Helen
Brian, Jennifer, Lilian, Justin
Harrison, Neil, Susan

Help! I’ve been listening to The Archers for about 5/6 years now and I have no recollection of Nic and Will’s Poppy being born, a pregnancy announcement, Nic being pregnant etc, they keep saying she’s in Nursery and too young to understand etc but how old is she and where did she come from? Is it just me? She must be a similar age to my children so surely I’d remember it? I can recal both Ruth and Kirsty’s lost pregnancies so why not this one that clearly came to fruition?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/03/2018 08:28

Hi SnooSigh, I think you might be better asking this on the main Archers thread. This one is for spoilers. For what it's worth, I don't really remember Poppy being born either, so I think it must have been a very lowkey storyline.

Thanks, Gump! Having just heard Friday 30/3 I'm swallowing the bitter pill of re-reading all of these with the knowledge of who actually ran Matt over. I was so sure it would be Alice or Shula. Sad

I wonder if Olwen is going to tell Pat a few home truths. I hope so. Alison Steadman is such a good actress, surely they wouldn't get her in just to discuss recipes with Pat. I have such fond memories of the 1995 P&P, Abigail's Party, Nuts in May, the Cabin Pressure episode where she turned up as Stephanie Cole's sister.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/03/2018 20:08

The 🔮 is outraged and is accusing the scripties of ball tampering!

Maybe Olwen will rekindle Pat's feminism and she will start raging against the patriarchy.

BoreOfWhabylon · 04/04/2018 19:21

Looks like Olwen will be moving in at Home Farm next week then.

Gruach · 04/04/2018 19:26

Bridge Farm? I guess she will - but I cannot fathom where they’re going with this story.

I’m imagining Will’s visitor will be Andrew. Then Eddie will suggest his sons swap abodes.

BoreOfWhabylon · 04/04/2018 19:40

Gah! Yes, Bridge Farm, of course.

Like you, I can't see where it's going.

Still, as long as Olwen upsets Hellin (as it looks like she will the following week), it's all good

BoreOfWhabylon · 04/04/2018 19:41

YY re Grundyswap too.

And Alistair leaving Ambridge?

Gruach · 04/04/2018 19:55

What would happen to the vet partnership if Alistair left Ambridge though?

Is the silent Anisha rich enough to buy the whole business? Would she want to? Bit awkward ...

More interestingly - who else might take over all the empty space created at the Stables? Shula wouldn’t live there on her own, surely.

BoreOfWhabylon · 04/04/2018 20:00

I think the Relationship Fairy will wave her wand and Smugula will have a 11th hour about turn and realise she lurves Alistair after all (probably after she realises DocLocke/Philip/Alan/AnyOtherBloke) is not interested.

And the crisis will be averted.

Also looking like Lexi will not be pregnant for long.

MrsArthurShappey · 06/04/2018 12:37

Shula and Alistair are frankly a bit of a waste of what could be a juice divorce storyline!

Wills visitor could be....dun dun duuuuuun.....pc plot

Radio Times
8 April to 13 April

Its all getting too much for Adam, who juggles his work responsibilities with the pressures of Lexi’s first transfer attempt. And he's not the only one getting hot under the collar at Home Farm – Brian continues to manipulate the truth regarding recent events and starts to consider his future with Ruairi. Will this mean yet more trouble for the cursed Aldridges.

Will's behaviour is still a cause for concern and when Keira reveals a shocking truth, Emma ends up snapping – with potentially dire consequences. Rumours are flying around the village about Alistair, who ends up confronting the source of the gossip. And by the end of the week, one person has some serious explaining to do…

I'm not sure I've totally forgiven David Brown for misleading us over the hit and run <img loading="lazy" class="inline-flex mumsnet-emoji" alt="Wink" src="https://www.mumsnet.com/build/assets/wink-ClU7UaDM.png">

Thanks, Gump! Some intriguing stuff there, but as you say we are often misled.

Gumpendorf · 12/04/2018 19:26

Radio Times
15 April to 20 April

With Will still insisting on taking the children on regular visits to Nic’s burial site, it’s left to Clarrie to suggest an alternative – only for things to go wrong when another Ambridge resident inadvertently put their foot in it. Later in the week, Eddie has a controversial suggestion that could put even more strain on the family – but will Clarrie agree?

Helen is fretting that her chances of winning at the Food and Farming awards will be reduced should judge Sheila Dillon encounter Olwen. Jazzer causes amusement at his interview at Berrow Farm, when he appears not to be taking things seriously. And one individual is left questioning whether their life has been a lie after a secret is revealed.
