Radio Times
28 Jan to 2 Feb

The disaster at Home Farm fuels this week’s storylines, with Brian under pressure and parish councillor Emma demanding answers for her constituents. There is also a knock-on effect for the Grundy boys, who will take any opportunity to go to war with each other. So, when Will defends Brian and Ed ends up getting involved, tensions between the brothers soon reach fever pitch once again.

And what of Adam in all this? Well, there's no denying that he’s facing a professional crisis, but things are looking up on the personal front as his and Ian’s surrogacy plan moves forward. However one Aldridge is in for a shock when the identity of the host mother is revealed…

BoreOfWhabylon · 26/01/2018 18:13

Thanks Gump. Some interesting storylines at last.

As long as they don't just peter out again

BashStreetKid · 01/02/2018 17:13

One extra day's summary added. Is it just me, or are they being unusually slow about updating the "Upcoming episodes" bit?

1 Feb. Susan has a bright idea, and there is more than one surprise for Roy.
2 Feb Alice rallies the troops, and Kirsty has second thoughts

4 Feb. Jennifer is left disappointed, and Kirsty receives an unexpected request.
5 Feb. Ruth feels hurt, and Emma causes tension.
6 Feb. There is more bad news for the Aldridges, and Will is left fuming.
7 Feb. Toby is left red faced, and Lynda struggles with her Lent challenge.
8 Feb. Adam takes the strain, while Susan feels unappreciated.
9 Feb. Brian comes to a decision, and Nic loses her temper.
11 Feb Jennifer has a fight on her hands, and Nic's fears are confirmed.

Bekabeech · 01/02/2018 17:34

I wonder if Will's job is threatened, which could be good and force Nic to go and get herself a proper job. (I want her to become a TA at the school and eventually a teacher.)

Radio Times
4th to 9th February

Brian must be wishing that 2018 were nothing but a bad dream – his life has pretty much imploded. Now he finds himself headline news as the BL board plan to oust him as chairman. The terrible publicity creates a fresh crisis for Adam, but will he lay more stress on Brian’s shoulders?

Emma and Nic are also in disagreement over loyalties to the Aldridges, all of which results in Will gunning for his ex-wife as tempers explode in the Bull. Expect big recriminations for one villager in particular…

Away from the furore, Susan is feeling under appreciated at Bridge Farm, while Pip is impressed by Toby’s newfound dedication.

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/02/2018 18:37

Thanks Gump Flowers

As I predicted on the main thread (and everyone ignored me!) Philip and Kirsty are definitely destined to be an item .

BashStreetKid · 02/02/2018 23:58

Let's hope reality hits for Pip involves a horrible realisation that she isn't going to get loads of free child care out of Jill, or indeed Ruth and David.

Oops wrong date - should be next week 11th to 16th.

Radio Times
11th to 16th February

Expect Brian to be on belligerent form when he decides to fight for his future on the BL board. But with Martyn Gibson baying for his blood and Annabel unsure where her loyalties lie, it falls to Justin to support his “brother-in-law”. But will Justin really risk his own interests to save Brian skin?

Nic is also fretting about her future following events at the Bull last week. Will assures her she’ll be fine, but when Jolene comes to a decision, it looks like Nic’s worst fears may be about to come true.

Toby’s first day lambing at Brookfield proves eventful, while Pip is on the receiving end of some harsh home truths issued by Ruth. Will she heed her Mum’s warnings?

Hmm... Does a drunken Alice mow down a Grundy?

Thanks Gump Flowers

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 07/02/2018 10:07

Oh no. Tony's experience of losing John? I do so hope not.

Thanks, Gump!

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/02/2018 13:29

'A shock for Will' - Nic?

'Grundy's face a long night' - so, not dead yet?

BikingBeatrix · 07/02/2018 13:42

I find myself not caring much what happens to any of them except hoping Kirsty and Philip get it together and decide to make babies and they end up with all the healthy ones they both want. I’m not usually quite as soppy. I hope! Also quite pleased JD has got it hard. She‘s been annoying me for a while now.

GnotherGnu · 07/02/2018 18:12

It's Joe I'm worried about, if he's struggling to let go.

Mootsie · 07/02/2018 19:32

Bartleby has to be put down?

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/02/2018 20:25

Yes, Alice crashes into Bartleby on Valentine's Day, Joe then struggles to let go, becomes ill, Grundys face a long night, Alice feeling guilty etc.

That or Nic.

Bekabeech · 12/02/2018 19:44

I'll put George in as the victim - which if the SW have been listening will result in a permanently disabled character. (No Fairy miracle cure please.)

Gumpendorf · 14/02/2018 17:38

Radio Times
17th to 23rd February

Are the Aldridges cursed? It’s starting to feel that way, what with Martyn Gibson snapping at Brian’s heels on the BL board and a disaster befalling the family just as Jennifer is enjoying some pampering time at Grey Gables. Enter Peggy with some much-needed help, but even she hasn’t foreseen a devastating confession coming from another member of the clan.

Pip is disappointed to receive so many baby themed birthday gifts, but is pleasantly surprised by an expected gesture from Toby – although her confidence takes a dip once again after an awkward encounter.

Elsewhere, Neil has a big surprise for Susan, while Nic tries to persuade a reluctant Will to take dance lessons.
