And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

Oh yes, didn't read that properly - it's Rex's birthday. Blush However, [clutching at straws emoticon] Pip is such a clod she might think Rex would want to know he's going to be an uncle asap...

Gruach · 10/07/2016 17:45

Oh well, at least now we know why Alistair might want Fallon's help. Good guess about his captaincy resignation Gasp0!

So they've set up quite a nice little bit of friction at Brookfield. Toby late for his shifts; hiding a "new woman" from his bro and getting into trouble with Josh for slackness. Just wait till Mr Too Cool for School finds out who's been distracting the younger Fairbrother.Grin

I like the sound of things being brighter at Bridge Farm. - After Ursula has to lend them Henry to keep him out of earshot of Brute.

BoreOfWhabylon · 10/07/2016 19:19

Looks like the positive pregnancy test present might be a goer after all!

OP posts:
Gruach · 10/07/2016 19:52

Yup!

FWBs my behind! She's so arrogant. First she'll be pregnant, then he will run away, then she'll realise she's madly in love, then he'll have to sell all the solid gold hens to pay for his Brighton divorce.

TheAntiBoop · 10/07/2016 19:58

He will run off and she will get together with dependable Rex. And then Toby will appear every few years for a jealousy/angst sl

Double yawn

Gruach · 10/07/2016 20:05

What self respecting new Editor would dare feed us such repetitive bilge AntiB?

ppeatfruit · 11/07/2016 15:17

So Pip and Tobes are going to be fuck buddies are they? Yes I wonder how long that'll last. My bet is HE'LL fall for her in a big way and she'll say piss off Grin. It does seem as though Pip has gone against the soap rules and got her contraception sorted.

TheAntiBoop · 11/07/2016 15:18

In soapland contraception is only 23% effective though

ppeatfruit · 11/07/2016 15:28

True TheAnti But I must admit that the only soap I m interested in now is TA and I DID watch Downton.

The others on telly are my idea of hell actually. I used to watch them but no more. Corrie was good, EE was always total balderdash, such a shame that the producers seem to think audiences want to watch total misery. TA is still a damn sight better than them.

TheAntiBoop · 11/07/2016 15:31

I don't watch tv soaps but it seems like ta is moving in their direction!

ppeatfruit · 11/07/2016 15:58

Hopefully SOC's successor will be mindful, also more mature, and will read our threads !! If not we must demonstrate!

Radio Times
16-22 July

The school summer holidays are upon us: a time for rest and relaxation…and more brinkmanship between the Bridge Farm Archers and Rob Titchener. Pat wants Henry to spend more time with her and Tony during the break, but Rob insists this isn't necessary. So how will Rob react when Pat raises the idea of taking Henry to the seaside? At least Helen has a new supporter in Shula, who wants to know if there's anything she can do to help...

Over at Brookfield, Pip accuses David of being in the Dark Ages. Rex meanwhile is wondering whether Pip is avoiding him. And there is a clash at the fête committee where Linda goes up against Fallon after they fail to agree on the format for the event.

Writer is Caroline Harrington
Editor is still you know who.
Shula is listed in the cast.

Gruach · 12/07/2016 02:56

Goodness, Shula's mind works slooooooowly ...

100paperclips · 12/07/2016 09:01

Pip accuses David of being in the Dark Ages

Please please please dear lord don't let me have to listen to David and Pip having 'the talk'

Also, good to hear that Shula is coming out of hibernation. I wonder if she'll actually speak...

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 12/07/2016 09:17

Oh, it could just as easily be about milk or something, the Dark Ages business....

Stickerrocks · 12/07/2016 19:11

Do you think they're bringing all these farming storylines with Alice's second interview and Adam's new bit of kit in to calm the traditionalists? We haven't had a lecture on autumn calving for a few weeks, so that could be the pip/David storyline.

TOTAL TV GUIDE 16 - 22 JULY 2016

There's nothing Pat and Tony would like to do more than take Henry away on holiday, but there's the enormous hurdle of clearing it with Rob first. Might he soften?

Shula seems preoccupied and Caroline wants to get to the bottom of it. She says she's fine - she just feels she could do more for Helen. Is that what's really going on?

As the village fete approaches, Fallon thinks things need a really good shake up, something Lynda naturally disagrees with.

Fallon's bold ideas have some traction. Has she bitten off more than she can chew?

Rex thinks Pip's avoiding him, but she has other things on her mind.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 13/07/2016 13:21

Henry wants to follow in Rob's footsteps

Prep school?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/07/2016 17:07

Thanks, Judy! Prep school is my guess too. Sad

JudyCoolibar · 13/07/2016 17:35

I'm wondering whether, given that Knob won't have Arsula's help, the plan will be to send Henry off to some gruesome boys' camp for the summer where he will learn to Be A Man and escape all chance of feminine influence. It will probably turn out that that was what Arsula did each summer to keep Knob out of Brute's way.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 17/07/2016 19:17

Tom is torn twice!

Shula agonising about her hunt sab fibs?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 17/07/2016 19:47

I'm hoping so. The other possibility is that she is yearning for Dr Locke and feeling jealous of Elizabeth.
