And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

I think you're right - the Grim Reaper has been detained elsewhere. Looking more and more like cricket stuff. Bit worried about Henry having to do his duty. Hmm

JudyCoolibar · 30/06/2016 23:31

It would be nice if Carol sharing her view of Rob is the start of people generally sharing their more unpleasant experiences of him.

ppeatfruit · 01/07/2016 12:58

Thanks Gaspode Grin

Stickerrocks · 03/07/2016 19:20

Hoping that Carol 's slap up meal is at Grey Gables. Anna could meet Ian. Carol could nudge him into giving Anna some feedback on Rob.

KingscoteStaff · 03/07/2016 19:44

Ooooooh, and while they're there, they could tell Cathy what's been happening to her best friend. She will be so grateful that someone's finally told her - now she can go round to Bridge Farm and be supportive.

Gruach · 03/07/2016 20:06

Kathy is hiding in a GG laundry cupboard - outraged that Pat should place her in such a stressful position when her own life has already beef so hard. What with Jolene stealing two men from her. And Jamie; when she said she hoped he'd grow up to be a surgeon that wasn't exactly ... Pat should understand - being manager of GG is such a responsibility. She can't just drop everything at a moment's notice.

Gruach · 03/07/2016 20:08

been not beef. Hmm

Radio Times 9-15 July

Ursula has news for Henry and Rob: Grandpa Bruce is coming to visit. All of which should prove to be very interesting, seeing as we all have the sneaking suspicion that Rob learnt his manipulative tricks from his dear old dad.

Back at Bridge Farm, Pat is hoping Henry could spend more than one day a week with them. Yeah, like Rob is going to agree to that!

Toby is told to pull his weight if Upper Class Eggs is to be a success, but Rex feels his brother is going to be even less reliable now that he's met a new woman.

Finally Lynda assembles her crack team of fête organisers, but soon there's a mutiny in the ranks when it comes to choosing a theme for this year's event.
--------
Joanna Toye writes.
Still no sign of Shula but Alistair is in the cast.
Bruce is listed but no Helen this week.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/07/2016 08:35

Oh gosh. The brief glimpse we've had of Bruce was pretty grim. Will need to brace myself for next week. Thanks, Gumpendorf!

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 05/07/2016 08:50

"Henry must do his duty" - 'Now, Henry, it's very important that you tell the lady about the time Mummy tried to burn you in the bath, do you understand?' ^Yeth Daddeeee"

Grandpa Bruce might re-introduce the boarding school idea...

Gruach · 05/07/2016 12:34

My new theories: 1) Shula is taken seriously ill - heart attack or similar - and endures an enforced stay in hospital. That would explain Kenton being the designated recipient of the news; Alistair blaming himself and Alistair needing Fallon's help for a catered celebration when Shula comes home. 2) Shula announces that she is divorcing Alistair, makes him leave and he has to go and stay at the Bull - again Kenton gets the news first, Alistair blames himself and then asks Fallon for help in sweet talking his STBXW.

Is there any possibility that either of these stories could be executed without a weeping and remorseful female legal practitioner?Hmm

Gruach · 05/07/2016 19:15

Dang ...

I liked my stories better.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/07/2016 19:18

Sadly, the mundane answers appear to be:

  1. Kenton is fed a pack of lies by Jolene and Wayne for utterly nonsensical reasons. With any luck that is the end of that damp squib of a storyline.
  2. Alistair has called an EGM of the cricket club for Thursday. Presumably he will offer to resign, possibly on grounds of the stress of having to speak for the first time in many months.
JudyCoolibar · 05/07/2016 20:42

With any luck Anna's "another option" will be a lawyer who isn't going to crumble away at the prospect of a moderately difficult hearing; though they'd never endow Helen with the sense to agree.

Rob has just, presumably, spent a fortune (or Ursula and Bruce have) on a lawyer to keep Henry out of Pat and Tony's hands. Why would she think he'd roll over and give them more time only a week later, FFS?

MrsArthurShappey · 06/07/2016 15:51

They really are playing fast and loose with Lynda. First the hangover, and now we're meant to believe that the fete theme hasn't been decided!!! Shock

MrsArthurShappey · 06/07/2016 15:53

Judy I fear you might be right about Helen and her options. Harrison facing a new challenge could be interesting. But probably won't be, he's probably entering some sporting challenge or other Hmm

ppeatfruit · 06/07/2016 16:01

Oh no Mrs Shaappey The 'no theme for the fete' is an old old old SL Grin.

I believe that Lynda had a hangover, people who forget they're 'getting on' often get poleaxed by a quantity of alcohol that they wouldn't 've noticed before.

BlackeyedSusan · 07/07/2016 00:04

nah, will be more bunting going missing. There is now a bunting crime spree.

TheAntiBoop · 07/07/2016 11:45

What's wrong with a summer fete themed fete?

ppeatfruit · 07/07/2016 12:20

Yes what's wrong with that? I'll answer Grin Since bunting gate and SOC a normal traditional fete is too 'boring' for the young producers IMO.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 07/07/2016 13:09

If Anna says 'I might not be the best person to represent you as I'm just a poor emotional lady and it brings back Haunting Memories' I suspect Helen will see this as further proof that her case is unwinnable.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 07/07/2016 19:27

TOTAL TV GUIDE 9 - 15 JULY 2016

Tony is uneasy dropping Henry back at Blossom Hill Cottage, his first trip there since the stabbing.

Pat hopes that their grandson will spend more time with them during the summer break. How will Rob react?

Rex turns 29 but there's not much to celebrate at Hollowtree.

Toby fails to turn up for the early shift, leaving his brother to cover.

Josh reads Toby the riot act.

Bert tries to lift the birthday boy's spirits with a poem and Pip greets him at the Bull with a present.

Lynda is planning the summer fete - but her proposed theme sparks a mutiny among the organisers.
**
Please, oh please, let Pip's present not be a positive pregnancy test.

ppeatfruit · 08/07/2016 10:18

Gaspode What are you like? [grin ] Rex and Pip haven't DTD have they? It would be Mathew who might get such a present, if their 'soap' style contraceptive had failed.
