And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/10/2016 10:57

I hope to god they haven't decided to bring Kate and Roy back together.

OP posts:
TheAntiBoop · 01/10/2016 11:22

That really would be ludicrous!!

Gumpendorf · 01/10/2016 11:42

I think they might be, Bore Hmm

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/10/2016 13:25

Yes, I think so. They would be far better bringing Hayley back.

How can Rob turn up to a cricket match if he's supposed to be seeing GiddyJack for three hours?

What time do they start?

Gumpendorf · 01/10/2016 18:51

Daily Mail Weekend from 2 October
courtesy of Mustardland

There’s not much warmth in the October sun as it shines across the cricket field, and there’s even less in the greeting that Rob’s team-mates give him when he rocks up, with his kitbag in hand, for a 'friendly' against Darrington. Will Captain Burns overlook recent events in view of Rob's prowess on the pitch? Ursula gets a chilly reception when she phones Pat for a favour, while Helen takes a cool look at her situation - and at her and Rob's joint bank account- and makes the first steps towards the divorce court. There's nothing cool about the saintly Jill this week, who boils over when she hears that a Fairbrother has been invited to the big birthday tea, while Roy warms to the idea of reigniting his love life....

TheAntiBoop · 01/10/2016 18:58

So Roy and Kate seem to be on

Can he play cricket with the stoma?

enochroot · 01/10/2016 19:45

Will Emma be expected to serve him tea if he does play?

MissPattie · 01/10/2016 22:56

Emma serving tea would be voluntary, I reckon, so she could just refuse to serve Knob.

Even if Rob has emptied the account, Helen should be OK financially as she'll living with Pat and Tone. Only problem would be if he had taken out some loans in their joint names. She may discover a hefty deposit for the school fees though going out. That would be brill.

Stickerrocks · 02/10/2016 06:45

Helen had very different views to Rob on how Peggy' s £10k should be spent. I think she will naively think the cash is still there waiting for her, whereas Rob spent in on hunt fees a long time ago. Where did he get his horses from? Sheila?

Stickerrocks · 02/10/2016 06:46

Shula, obviously.

Gumpendorf · 03/10/2016 18:20

*Look up "bloody minded" and you'll see a picture of Rob Tichener, scowling on a bench on the Green. (In fact, look up "psychopath" and you'll get the same image). Yes, the man who refuses to accept that he could either be in the wrong is not shifting from the village, despite his ousting from the cricket team and Ambridge's aversion to him. Furthermore he's asked his solicitor to pursue changing his son's name officially from Jack to Gideon.

Helen is reclaiming the life she had before she met Rob, but will Tom stand aside and let her secure the farming scholarship he's applied for? Elsewhere, Kate is helping Adam with his relationship angst. But they'd better hurry because Ian has packed his bags.

Gumpendorf · 03/10/2016 18:23

Oops - all bold as I am using the app for the first time.Hmm

Anyway, writer is Adrian Flynn and Ian, no, no, please do not leave.

TheAntiBoop · 03/10/2016 18:28

Tbf on Tom, the scholarship seems to involve a lot of traveling etc which Helen might struggle to do in the next 12 months

Gumpendorf · 03/10/2016 19:35

I thought the same Antiboop, and Tom was the one who made the application. Surely Helen can't just swan in and take it over.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 04/10/2016 00:17

Rob must be spectacularly stupid if he thinks he has a prayer of persuading a court to change Jack's name when he's already been found potentially dangerous to Henry. If Anna has any sense she'll point out that it's simply another manifestation of his coercive control which suggests he should if anything have even less to do with Jack.

MissPattie · 04/10/2016 07:18

Oh, the name change story sounds great!

MissPattie · 04/10/2016 07:19

Thanks Gump!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/10/2016 09:48

Microupdate, but promising! Copying Gumpendorf's post above and adding 20 Oct from Digiguide:

4 Oct. Helen faces a problem head on, and Johnny surprises Tom, twice.
5 Oct. Alice hopes to impress, and Tom's reminded of old memories.
6 Oct. In The Bull, the interview panel is waiting, and Kate and Roy have a heart to heart.
7 Oct. Helen makes a shocking discovery, and Neil searches for a solution.

9 Oct. Oliver has a question for Shula, and Tom comes clean to Helen.
10 Oct Susan doesn't feel like celebrating, and Johnny encourages Tony.
11 Oct. Ian has got an offer to consider, and Kate is keen to share her perspective on relationships.
12 Oct Alistair wants to make it work, and Roy has got a new look.
13 Oct Rob is refusing to hide away, and Shula still has doubts.
14 Oct. Adam is desperate to speak to Ian, and Lynda appeals to Kate's creative flair.

16 Oct. Rex is argumentative, and Alice wants to clear the air
17 Oct. Pat wants Helen to think again, and Eddie calls on Ed for help.
18 Oct. Jill catches a thief, and Alistair has an announcement.
19 Oct. Lilian lends a hand, and Roy is in need of guidance.
20 Oct Bridge Farm is counting its costs, while Tom is making progress.

He's been dipping his hand in the till, hasn't he? Might that be how ends up in chokey?

Gumpendorf · 04/10/2016 10:21

Thanks Gasp.

Counting the cost of legal fees which must be huge?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/10/2016 12:30

Some nice extra detail here. The Rob/Ursula scene sounds excruciating.

TOTAL TV GUIDE 8 - 14 OCTOBER 2016

Defiant after being ousted from the cricket team, Rob stakes his claim by sitting on the village green with his mum, Ursula, who feels uncomfortable as villagers give them a wide berth.

At Bridge Farm, Helen is easing back into normality, joining Tom in the polytunnels.

But does Helen resent Tom for 'nicking' her idea for organic baby food?

Adam is appalled when he hears, via Kate, that Ian is leaving the area and is desperate to change his mind, but time is running out.

Memories come flooding back when Tony spots a vintage tractor up for sale.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/10/2016 12:32

Gosh, now I've found another one:

21 Oct Helen is ready to move forward, and Elizabeth is reminded of a road not taken.

Divorce proceedings? The maths teacher whose name began with I?

enochroot · 04/10/2016 12:39

Well let's hope Arsula convinces him to leave Ambridge.

Mootsie · 04/10/2016 13:33

Wasn't John driving an old Fergie tractor with no roll bar when he was killed?
