And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

OP posts:
Gruach · 09/08/2016 20:57

D'you think Rob might be planning on a return to Canada with MySonGideon and Henry?Shock

KingscoteStaff · 10/08/2016 07:23

Freddie surveys his surroundings - after gaining less than impressive GCSEs, Freddie contemplates an apprenticeship with Rodways.

Gruach · 10/08/2016 07:32

Nah ... He'll be thinking he doesn't need many GCSE's as he will be master of all he surveys one day.

(While poor, clever Lily is cast out with a suitcase and an unsuitable husband.)

Gruach · 10/08/2016 07:38

(Not all apostrophies are entirely voluntary ...)

KingscoteStaff · 10/08/2016 07:46

But how old must (silent) Herr Rodway be? Surely it's perfect timing for Freddie to do a spot of Land Management and then take over?

TheAntiBoop · 10/08/2016 07:55

So George Grundy is going to become a poacher

Have they forgotten will is his dad?

Gruach · 10/08/2016 08:03

In all seriousness it's a brilliant suggestion Kingscote. And very fitting. Could he do that without A' Levels?

(I doubt there's been any Rodway on the premises this century ...)

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/08/2016 12:04

These various cryptic references to Lower Loxley, Elizabeth and Freddie - I keep remembering the plot spoilers that started this spoiler thread off. The only bit that hasn't come true so far is LL burning to the ground. Do we think that could be about to happen? Is the other reason SOC is still hanging on as Editor?

BlackeyedSusan · 13/08/2016 12:41

so, do we think rob has got a place at boarding school for henry? or is it the results of the cao hearing? when is that?

is that george poaching? like danny the champion of the world.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/08/2016 12:57

I wouldn't be surprised if he has confirmed the boarding school place, but possibly deferred until January so he can bamboozle everyone until the trial and the residency arrangements are all out of the way. Sad

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 13/08/2016 15:30

'Excellent news Henry, since granny and grandad and mummy don't want you, cafcas said you're all mine now. NOw, give me that tablet: it's going in the bin with Thomas. And wax that bat: we're playing cricket but making it more fun by using a ball made of lead today. Stop wetting yourself, nobody likes an incontinent boy and they certainly won't stand for that in September when you go to big boy school.'

JudyCoolibar · 13/08/2016 18:27

There was something upthread about Ursula suggesting Rob move back to near where they live with both boys - maybe the news is something to do with that?

Gumpendorf · 15/08/2016 17:46

Radio Times
20-26 August.

Helen's trial is just a fortnight away and Anna is seeing a chink of light – Helen realises Rob was influencing how she was feeling, especially when it came to giving up driving. But when Anna presses her on why she called a woman's helpline, Helen is unable to answer.

Rob arrives earlier than arranged to collect Henry from Bridge Farm, and when Pat points out that her time with Henry is precious, he tells her not quibble. But, covertly, Rob is seeking more support with caring for Henry and interviews a potential nanny.

Eddie furthers George's 'countryside heritage' education – how to catch a game "the Grundy way" – but warns his grandson not to tell the rest of the family.

It sounds like we are back with Groundhog Day. Sigh

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/08/2016 20:40

Thanks, Gumpendorf!

TOTAL TV GUIDE 20 - 26 AUGUST 2016

There are terse words at Bridge Farm when Rob collects Henry earlier than arranged.

Anna is making slow progress with Helen, who now accepts she was being manipulated by her husband.

With the trial just two weeks away, they need to build a case - and fast.

Kaz is fearful that, with her mother in hospital, her ex-partner will take her daughters - and Helen admits that ultimately they're powerless to do anything about it.

With events at Lower Loxley taking all her time, Elizabeth can't give Freddie the time he needs.

Alice goes head-to-head with Pip in a tractor driving challenge.

JudyCoolibar · 17/08/2016 13:33

Ah, that may be the wake-up call for Helen - the realisation that unless she pulls her finger out Rob will get both children.

Rob's good news is the instant job offer, perhaps? Because of course people normally do make expensive recruitment decisions in two days, don't they?

Poor Freddie, sounds like the GCSE results aren't going to be good. And I hope Elizabeth bloody does put him ahead of organising the opera evening.

There's always a panic after I've pressed post that I've posted in right thread Blush

JudyCoolibar · 19/08/2016 17:24

Thanks, Gumpendorf. Looks like Tom's due to wake up finally at the 11th hour and start doing some work to help his sister.

I wonder how quickly Olivia would leap to delete if one of the spoiler posts appeared in the other thread? It could break MN records.

Gumpendorf · 19/08/2016 17:31

I'd rather not risk it, Judy Grin. I'd need a new identity in a different country!
I'm assuming the trial outcome will extend into the following week. I'm concerned about Johnny standing by his family and I really don't want to hear things from Rob's PoV.

Gruach · 19/08/2016 17:40

Thanks Gump.

So. Trial.

It has just this moment occurred to me that TA isn't compulsory. Revelation! Knowing that I am allowed to switch it off may give me the stregnth to keep going.

KingscoteStaff · 21/08/2016 23:05

Settling scores at Home Farm on Thursday - could that possibly be a hole being found in the accounts?

Gumpendorf · 22/08/2016 19:53

Radio Times
27 August - 2nd Sept

What on earth is Shula thinking of? There are certainly more pressing issues in Ambridge at the moment, such as where the Grundys are going to live and whether Pip is fooling herself over having anything more than a no strings relationship with Toby, and if Linda can ever be separated from the ashes of her beloved Scruff… Not to mention Helen, of course.

Surely Shula can't be fantasising about reigniting her affair with Richard? As Lower Loxley prepares for this week's performance of Madame Butterfly, let us remind her of Puccini's plot: a woman falls for a man who leaves her. She is convinced he will return. Which he does… with another woman. Enter Elizabeth. Cue aria

This week's preview is by Steve Morrissey

Simon Frith is writer of the week.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 22/08/2016 20:23

Oh .... Just fuck off, Shula, and fuck off any story lines that involve her. Seriously.
