Stick around Hadron !
We're great at picking plot lines to pieces as well Grin

Orcmaybe H being sick.will make Knob think she is pregnant when she isn't. He'll find out she is secretly filling her body with chemicals on the pill. But I fear obvious pg it is. She'll probabky start hating the smell of tuna.

But just because he never hit Jess does not mean he won't hit H. Jess was never pg.
And yes I think they should make an excruviating sl where she leaves and he threatens suicide, fights for custody, calls her unfit and is a controlling shit. Because that is 'the script' for EA..sadly abusive exes are like unflushable turds.Sad and it wnould be most unrealistic if he just goes quietly

Plus there is the oppotunity for him to charm and manipulate social work and for people to doubt H's pov. It is surprising how often ppl really close to the survivor take abusers side. They are good at picking allies. I bet he'll have Pat and Tom thinking H is losing it.

enochroot · 29/09/2015 19:03

Oh yes. He's definitely setting Helen up to doubt her own reason and take her family along with him.

Toomuchtea · 29/09/2015 19:07

Helen's handing over the decision on Fallon and the café to Tom so that she doesn't have to face Rob's EA over it.

lljkk · 29/09/2015 19:10

I liked HP singing, even if it was daft foreshadowing. That would be a lovely last memory. And she slipped away without pain, too.

but FFS, Ruth's simpering now, as if it wasn't wildly obvious that any moment could be HP's last.

and yes I was exactly like this when my own mom died. And when my niece's mother died. Everyone expressed surprise & I gave them the "Are you mad?" look in reply, mom/SIL had been in such obvious bad health decline before they went. Why people fail to see the obvious, arghgghghghghghghg

BYOSnowman · 29/09/2015 19:13

Well it's given pip the opportunity to test her full vocal range in all its wobbly glory

Helen running off to puke and sounding like shit is really really really bad writing if this is supposed to be pregnancy symptoms. There must surely be one woman on the team who has experienced pregnancy.

BYOSnowman · 29/09/2015 19:15

Oh god this is all such bullshit

Northernlurker · 29/09/2015 19:19

I thought the moment with pip in the milking parlour was quite sweet. The rest was not so good. Interesting that Helen is in total denial about her obvious pregnancy. What's the betting pat tells knob about it and then Helen gets it in the neck for not telling him.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 29/09/2015 19:20

Maybe excessive suckness is sugnalling twins. Thusaling H more vulnerable and Rob can claim to be Mr superfertile even though it is nothing to do with him.

Or hyperemesis. Making her unable to work. I imagine hyperemisis stories are all the rage after the royal baby.

tibbawyrots · 29/09/2015 19:29

If H isn't pregnant and is putting it down to a bug, where she's been seen to run off to vomit for days, and she works in food production massive H&S issue there! (Unless she is taking 48 hours each time before going to make the cheese?)

I thought Pip was frightened to go to Ruth, not in a scared way but in a way that she didn't know what to say to her. Which is understandable but "we had her dinner ready for her" isn't really going to make Ruth feel happier!

SealSong · 29/09/2015 19:38

Daeaeavid is the most insincere person I've ever heard. "We're allowed to grieve for Granny Heather"

Aaargghh! Stab stab stab stab etc

Shallishanti · 29/09/2015 20:00

OK I think she IS pg but denying it because she has already planned a nice quiet termination

Toomuchtea · 29/09/2015 20:04

I am thinking exactly that Shalli. But I think that she will need to agonise over it with Kirsty first.

Gruach · 29/09/2015 20:08

Except that as regards Fallon she is still clinging to her former belief in everything that comes out of Rob's mouth. She repeated almost word for word what he'd said about mixing business with friendship.

So I'd say she's definitely in denial and wanting escape from the situation - but also can't quite see herself acting against him.

TheSilveryPussycat · 29/09/2015 20:15

Thank God for this thread! I haven't been listening for the past week - too cringeworthy - although I somehow still need to know what's been happening. Now I know, but best of all I don't have to listen

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/09/2015 20:18

tibbawyrots, what an excellent point! And Bridge Farm of all places should be very, very careful about this given the trauma they went through after Clarrie infected the ice cream with e coli by coming back to work too soon after a bout of d+v. Hmm

selsigfach · 29/09/2015 20:19

I'm hoping that the reason she couldn't attend the cafe meeting was because she had an appointment with Marie Stopes.
She had a good opportunity there with Pat, perfect opportunity to say, "I think I am pregnant after being raped by my husband, help!"

InimitableJeeves · 29/09/2015 20:25

Does anyone remember, was Helen nauseous when she was pregnant previously?

BYOSnowman · 29/09/2015 20:26

Pussycat - when I can't bear to listen I catch up by reading lowfield

I don't think she's arranging an abortion. This is Helen we're talking about. Pretending there's not a problem and then going into complete hysteria is her normal mo

PseudoBadger · 29/09/2015 20:40

She was definitely nauseating...

Who was it who posed a quiz question abut another 60th anniversary of a death [on Wednesday]? ... Was it Mrs P's husband?

I was a bit naughty in leading you to think that it was a TA character.Blush
The answer is ... James Dean. Who is/was just a few months younger than Jill, which is a weird thought.

WipsGlitter · 29/09/2015 21:27

I am going to be very cross if she is pregnant. Too convienient.

TopazRocks · 29/09/2015 21:27

No. Heln was 'glowing' last time till the end when she had pre-eclampsia. This si something that gets me in this SL - she came back form I of W 'glowing' and we & half of Ambridge - all thought pregnancy - though maybe she was just happy to be married. If she was pg then, it's not so likely she's gone from glowing to hyperemesis in a few weeks. A woman with HG is more likely to ahve the sickness as a first sign and possibly not glow at all or at least not till after 1st trim. If she si pregnant after the 'rape' then has enough time lapsed for her to develop sickness? You do hear of women who get signs of pg within days of conception but it's more likely by 4 or more weeks, and it's not been that long has it?

I know, I am overinfested (but in good company!!) and the portrayeal of pregancy in dram/literature si one of my bugbears. Don't get me started on elderly death or mercy killing.Grin My glass eye was fair weeping alst night.

TopazRocks · 29/09/2015 21:30

Clearly spell check still kaput. I CAN spell portrayal etc.Smile

BTW I love the thread title - and I enjoyed reading about the RT event. I wanted to go but not possible, sadly.

stilllearnin · 29/09/2015 21:42

Hmmm for once I actually believed Pip's teariness. But yes David was so crass - does he realise this was his wife's mother - do you think they don't know they're allowed to grieve?!

We are not going to escape H being pg are we? Do we have to? Clearly we do.

Gruach very astute about H not being able to actually oppose R.
