Ebearhug did you mean to say vommute? - if so I love that! I had to vommute to London yesterday and the airless train did make me feel sick and also reminded me why I stopped doing that on a daily basis yesterday.

LillianGish · 07/10/2015 16:27

I love the fact that we are over-thinking it. That's the whole point of this thread. Josh was way ahead of them because they dallied and dallied clearly. No need for them to have been singing anything at all really - I think they just need something to get HP off to sleep. Excruciating episode all round - utterly predictable with the cockney warbling giving it a slightly surreal edge.
GrinGrinGrin Cheddar Gabla.

KingscoteStaff · 07/10/2015 16:43

That driving lesson reminded me of all those 'How to deal with teenagers' books that recommend having conversations when you are both doing something and (ideally) not looking at each other - walking, washing up or driving!

BitOutOfPractice · 07/10/2015 16:57

I've neverthought of it being about doing a moonlight flit R4 - just moving house / getting left behind by faffing. You seem very determined to be upset by it!

Yeah I know all the reasons on paper for the Mike and Vicky leaving thing. I was just never convinced by them

enochroot · 07/10/2015 17:06

The standing side by side and not looking at each other is the rationale for 'Men's Sheds' - an Australian idea for men to commune with each other whilst doing DIY type things. Apparently very good for mental health.

R4 · 07/10/2015 17:13

You seem very determined to be upset by it!

Not at all. It was pure comedy gold. Although, if I was HP's actress, I think that I would be upset by my send-off.

BitOutOfPractice · 07/10/2015 17:23

As long as you're not upset. If you were I could sing you a few soothing choruses of Knees Up Mother Brown Wink

R4 · 07/10/2015 17:36

You mean Cheese Up Mother Brown?Grin

Toomuchtea · 07/10/2015 17:47

DadDadDad · 07/10/2015 18:11

Well done, R4, keeping up the cheese puns to the last. This thread ends soon so I wonder dairyleave it any longer to squeeze in another?

BitOutOfPractice · 07/10/2015 18:34

I could accompany it with Roll Out the Biscuit Barrel if you like

Wordsaremything · 07/10/2015 18:44

Bleurgh

BYOSnowman · 07/10/2015 19:13

That was to fallon/plod and to the pip scene

Stickerrocks · 07/10/2015 19:13

They've suddenly remembered Jazzer. Kathy, Kirsty, Jazzer - maybe Scruff will be next.

Joskar · 07/10/2015 19:18

Rata-what?!

R4 · 07/10/2015 19:19

New title - do we get the promised 'four way knob throttling'? pretty please.

enochroot · 07/10/2015 19:22

Has it only just occurred to Eddie that the Fairbrethren are going to hit the turkey trade? He and Joe were trying to find them a piece of land to raise ducks on earlier in the year.

Gruach · 07/10/2015 19:22

Here Joskar.

Oh yes - the knob throttling! And there was something else wasn't there?

BYOSnowman · 07/10/2015 19:32

My mum is French and I have never heard her pronounce it like that

Davros · 07/10/2015 20:49

Im very not convinced by Bethany being better off in Brum. From the sound of her, she could cope well in mainstream school with support and what better than a small, local village school in a close community that accepts you? Ok it might not last forever, secondary transfer being a good issue to cover plus possible difficulty accessing things like speech therapy in a rural area but I'm sure she could, and should, have stayed.

EBearhug · 07/10/2015 22:29

Ebearhug did you mean to say vommute?
No. I think my subconscious is escaping again.
