Or vice versa?

Which would you rather?

OP posts:

Yes I think Lizzie too - has been more talk of her heart issues recently too.

I think Helen will just carry on being dreary for a long time.

arentfanny · 21/12/2010 19:33

How pregnant is Helen? the other possibility is that something happens to her and Pat and Tony have to make a decision about which one to save.

Cretaceous · 21/12/2010 19:37

"which one to save"
No contest there then!

traceybath · 21/12/2010 19:38

I think Helen is 7 months pregnant or thats what they said last week.

LadyBiscuit · 21/12/2010 19:44

She's going to have a stillbirth isn't she? And she will think it's < all her fault > and Tony will be the one who persuades her not to kill herself. And it will be horrible.

I still want Freddie to burn down LL tho

traceybath · 21/12/2010 19:49

I really hope that isn't the case LadyB Sad

And actually don't think it will be.

LadyLapsang · 21/12/2010 19:50

Snow will finally arrive in Ambridge, cutting the village off, Helen will go into labour in a barn, lots of drama, with Tony arriving for a teary reconcilliation (think middle class version of Royle Family, 'our Denise' & Jim) to deliver the babe.

Meanwhile, something involving Ed & Will Grundy...

BTW Why do they all suddenly want to attend Felpersham University, maybe they need to open an Ambridge campus.

arentfanny · 21/12/2010 19:54

Would Helen be a MN'er or a NM'er?

Eleison · 21/12/2010 19:55

Helen is all of the most terrifyingly Unreasonable MNers rolled into one. I really hope she is murdered before she has time to give birth and register here.

arentfanny · 21/12/2010 19:56

Xmas GrinXmas Grin

Cretaceous · 21/12/2010 19:57

LadyL - just what I was going to say re Tony delivering the baby Grin. It'll be the good news story to counterbalance the Lower Loxley inferno!

arentfanny · 21/12/2010 19:59

Can you imagine her on the breastfeeding/bottle feeding threads?

Do you think MNHQ would do a Q&A with her, would be fascinating to find out what she thinks of her character. Since we have been mentioned on the R4 Archers website I can see them/her eavesdropping on us.

traceybath · 21/12/2010 19:59

Did anyone hear this week when they played the bit when Tony sat with John after he'd died in the tractor - sooo sad.

So I really don't want him to lose another child.

autodidact · 21/12/2010 20:01

Nooooooooooooooooooo, Ladyb. That's too tragic.

It would be good if Susan was murdered by the community shop volunteers.

LadyLapsang · 21/12/2010 20:08

Is Owen King (the rapist) out of prison yet? He could return to LL, thinking Kathy still works there; get up to mischief (echos of the fire / Midnight / Phil's first wife), be bravely confronted by Lizzy, who then has an MI and dies. Nigel then realises there's more to life than Freddie passing the entrance exam....

Minor plot, Harry and Fallon will at last get it on (tell us something we didn't know), Jolene will leave to follow her dreams, and Harry and Fallon will take over The Bull.

Helen is probably already on MN; just think she's among us.

LadyBiscuit · 21/12/2010 20:12

No, you're right, that would be too horrible. Not least because Hell-in being any more of a martyr than she is now would make me want to smash my radio.

Ooh the Owen King return could be the fab sideswipe. No one would be sad if he murdered Kathie would they? Huge sigh of relief all round I'd think. Although then there would be Jamie-disaster-zone. But then perhaps Kenton could finally step up to the plate in being a dad and we would all go misty-eyed (and then he would marry Jolene once the fuss had died down)

GrimmaTheNome · 21/12/2010 20:23

No, Owen surely can't be due for release yet. But I was wondering about Clive Horobin...nasty piece of work and a bit unhinged...

I also think there should be something unexpected but not tragic, like Nelson Gabriel reappearing - I never felt they decisively killed him off.

TurkeyMartini · 21/12/2010 20:25

hmph, I've posted my excellent theories all over the other MN Archers threads and this bloody one that I missed is the one that ends up as a discussion of the day [mildly cross].

Just joining to make sure it gets on my Threads I'm On. Have only skimmed so far, back later Xmas Grin

autodidact · 21/12/2010 20:26

oh yes, would be a godsend if Kathie was murdered, certainly. Is there any way Owen could murder Will instead though? I do hate Will. But don't want Ed to murder him as Clarrie wouldn't cope...

zisforzebra · 21/12/2010 20:27

Maybe Owen King could try and murder Kathy but Jamie will leap into to defend her and be killed instead. They'll both die and on his way to leave the village he'll run over Hell and they'll deliver the baby by c-sec, she'll die and Tony and Pat will raise the baby.

autodidact · 21/12/2010 20:28

But Cloyve has been banged up for 12 years- don't think he can be due for release yet either.

LadyBiscuit · 21/12/2010 20:34

I like zisforzebra's theory. Largely because it takes out a load of annoying people.

autodidact · 21/12/2010 20:38

Like it, z. But would be even better if the accident occurs in the pheasant fields and Will hears the commotion. Thinking that poachers are in the vicinity he shoots, fatally wounding Tony. Will is then banged up for negligence and is attacked in prison by Cloyve Horribin, dying of his terrible injuries. Susan, mortified at her brother murdering her son-in-law and the impression that will make on the Aldridges, commits suicide.

zisforzebra · 21/12/2010 20:40

I like it auto! Interesting twist. I don't really mind Tony too much though so I'd be happy to see Will fall on his shotgun, although that wouldn't get rid of Susan so . . . oh! Maybe Vikkiii could drown her in some mislabled raspberry yogurt. Grin

FromGirders · 21/12/2010 20:43

With all the Horrobins meeting all the Aldridges for Susan's drinks and nibbles party, there will be a huge matter / anti-matter reaction, and the whole of Ambridge will implode.
