gosh it's nice here today if a bit breezy. Grand drying weather
right two yum yums later and I am away again to the housework.

fluffydog · 14/06/2010 14:40

I think I want a baby jogger city mini!
Has anyone had one of these and what are the pro's and con's?

basl · 14/06/2010 16:45

Fluffydog, i have a baby jogger city mini and it is fab. Wide seat, High back rest, Large hood, Good storage. Lightish. However no air wheels so not for off road. A little plasticy looking at the wheels but i love it.

Bexie a little laugh for me in the nick of time thanks my dear. I have my boss coming to visit me at home because i am off work. They have to check up on make sure you are ok and how they can get you back to work asap in your own time. I am so shaking and i don't know why just don't like two bosses coming into my private life and my home.

I need a new phone but i like the qwerty touch ones and i want a camera.

basl · 14/06/2010 16:49

omg i can't even manage to strike out my wording. Would they really want me back to work in a bank call center i would be a liability at this rate.

5inthebackofthenet · 14/06/2010 16:56

Fluffy, Baby Jogger Minis are excellent prams! Not a bad thing about them in my book. Like Basl said, the wheels look a bit plasticy, but they are actually quite good, very tough.

What bank do you work for Basl? I'd hate bosses in my house as well. I nver got visited off mine when I was off with really bad PND, thy obviously didn't care, or didn't want to come talk to the crazy woman who locked herself in the disabled toilets and told everyone to fuck off . Hope it goes well.

Divatheshopaholic · 14/06/2010 16:57

Fluffy, my friend had BJCM, i thinks its great for quick fold and huge shade. Its more suit older babies, young toddler, as the toddler gets older, its quite hard to push, you will miss air tyres.

basl · 14/06/2010 17:05

5in i worked for Bank of Scotland which i loved then they were merged with Halifax to make HBOS [dreadfull] now we are lloyds banking group. I have two of them coming to my house in 5.30 and i have asked dh to take the kids out. They have made my garden look a complete shitter with stones everywhere and my cushions all layed out to make sunbeds and umberellas. So i am having a bit of a paddy here. Heart pounding here.

basl · 14/06/2010 17:13

I can't talk properly today or type.

carrielou2007 · 14/06/2010 17:29

Sending calming vibes basl

Having a eek moment here, loving the the urban so much I am this close to ordering the swift being that little bit smaller and lighter . Dd sat eating her cakes she made today in it with bags of room, if I can get it to fit in the bug travel bag but a bit big for holidays maybe. A hundred million times better than the one I had which was quite a bit older, this is 2009 model and bought the sun cover from off the boards.

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/06/2010 17:42

That's great you are loving the MB carrielou. What exactly is better on it?

carrielou2007 · 14/06/2010 17:51

Better hood, viewing window, better raincover, quick release wheels, shopping basket amazing with lots of little sections and pockets, even two pockets on the hood, just feel lovely. Smaller wheels on the swift (Not so keen on those) and 2kg lighter (though this feels so so light) and 2cm narrower. This will be fab for when ds outgrowns the cam he looks about 8 months already sat in the seat bit now he is out of the pram part

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/06/2010 18:10

Can you do pics?

nicolamumof3 · 14/06/2010 18:15

basl · 14/06/2010 20:09

Nicola i love how you just get back into everything and not long back. I take ages to back to normal after a great holiday.

Good luck Carrie hope this is your 2stone sticker

Maxy hiya is your mum back then. How are they and what has happened to the ssssssssnake? Is it off to school? I bet it is going to the sssssssssssssience lab?

Flyme glad your are getting your three wheeler at last. I am sure you will like it.

Carrie would love pics of your mb

Divatheshopaholic · 14/06/2010 20:49

Carrie, wheels are bigger they are better. I once had 18in wheeled Bob, huge wheels,it was like auto pilot buggy.
Nicola, i agree with Basl, you are so multi-functional. I have done not much, although had long list of do.

nicolamumof3 · 14/06/2010 20:54

ooh i like the sound of that 'multi functional'! thanks diva.

so how ar eyou buggies diva do you have volo now?

i washed volo covers but there's greasy stain on seat not black greasy like a food grease iykwim.. any ideas to remove?

Divatheshopaholic · 14/06/2010 21:02

Yep, got Volo now. I actually used it to go to playgroup on Thursday. And Ds loved it, i think he like the way he felt the bumps and humps not sure why that was so excitng for him I think he never felt much road before thanks to super suspension buggies. He kept shouting " Oho, woho.. bumpy, bumpy..." I must say road is not the best road, very rough tarmac.

Anyway, i thought it was ok, expect the noise. But the npise was not that bad, was actually bareable. God, i sounds like right buggy snob. I think, Volo is keeper. Dh likes very much, due to the size and compact fold. So 3 parties are all happy.
No news from AD re triumph. Said be with be by 6th or 9th June, i cant remember now.
