Wow Carrie, 2 stone is fab! Especially considering you didn't think you'd lose much.

I'm back on my diet after a month off.

maxybrown · 07/06/2010 19:46

Be back later, bit busy as nipped out to get Ernie his new house

I completely agree, very biteable - bite away

Carrie,New MBs are all made by P&T in Chin and they already had poor reviews by retailers. If i was you i would go for second hand one.
New Urban Jungle is just old Jungle, they did Urban in Uk and US, and Jungle in EU before, dont know why, but they both the same thing, now its Urban Jungle.
After Urban its Elite but they arent making them anymore. Elite is slightly smaller than Urban.
Then Swift, Swift is smaller than Elite. Had really good reviews. Its only new design came last year.
I loved my Urban. Excuse my reply, im trying to chat with friends the same time, so a bit odd typing.

FlyMeToDunoon · 07/06/2010 20:58

Helloooooooo.
Just read through. Sweet little thing Maxy and your son is too .
DP has been taking the computer to work and DD1 had it a lot at the weekend to catch up with all of her favourites- Glee, Doctor Who and CSI so haven't been on much.
So glad half term is over although now I have a one and a half mile walk each way to and from school/nursery to do.

carrielou2007 · 07/06/2010 21:13

Thanks Diva, so, MB swift new 299 or urban 07 baroque new 299 or urban elite blue new 359 or used urban jungle 09 230?? Apart from swift I don't know which would be best deal/which best to go for

Just one more pound until I get my 2 stone certificate!! It has worked well for me, I've got the password so going on line later on too.

FMTD you need a MB too then with all that walking

at little boys scrummy bottoms legs

FlyMeToDunoon · 07/06/2010 21:18

I loved my MB and funnily enough today was yearning for an air tyre, three wheeler. I had so much stuff to carry and part of my walk is through a park over grass. The quest was struggling. Developed a squeak.

The quest, not me
Carrie I have no idea. What a decision.

maxybrown · 07/06/2010 21:23

what them pray tell, is a Mountain Buggy Breeze??!!

Well we have been playing with Ernie, have new better photo to upload soon, he is very cute all 3 of us got a hold tonight!

basl · 07/06/2010 21:33

Carrie oops i thought the elite was wider. They are all wider than the 2010 urban jungle so what diva says about quality is one to cross off then pramworld website have a 2009 swift and a 2010 swift ?????? so confusing. If i had not width issue [my door and my waist] i would have an urban jungle. I love the moss green one. However i love the blue elite one. Why the swift??

Good luck sal with your weigh in. You should do well with all your running about mrs.x

Helloooo Flyme not spoke since the name change and thankyou for that best laugh in ages. xxx

Divatheshopaholic · 07/06/2010 21:33

Hmm, My friend have Elite and she loves it, as its slight smaller than Urban, she said as she had both Urban and Elite.
May be go for Swift, all Mbs around 10-11 kilos not huge difference, imo.
Great weight loss,too.

Divatheshopaholic · 07/06/2010 21:38

I would go for 2009 models, im not 100% sure but 2010 models will made by different factory, not as good as they sued to be. MB is built for last nefore, but they arent anymore. So better with older model, than new ones. I sold my 2008 designer Urban for 280 on ebay after xmas.So new Urban for 299 is good price.

maxybrown · 07/06/2010 21:43

oh go on then - all ignore me!!!

OP posts:
basl · 07/06/2010 21:47

oh my love i had my answer all ready for you but i might be wrong now. The breeze is smaller than the swift. Am i right Diva????? I think that is what i read but not sure now. Never had a mb but i have been reading all about them because i did fancy one but did not realise you could get them for £299.

Divatheshopaholic · 07/06/2010 21:52

maxy, cant wait to see pics of ERNIE
Basl, breeze is smaller but its quite old design with fixed front wheel and fixed handle, irrc.
Bexie has Cdrive that is also old and rare design, kind of MB stroller. Very light weigh comparing other bigger Mbs.

basl · 07/06/2010 22:04

We should get you on mastermind Diva and your specialized subject MB!!!! Good to have someone in the know it's like having your own reviewer.

Divatheshopaholic · 07/06/2010 22:10

hmm, im too dizzy to remember exact specs etc... i have friend who totally expert in Mbs. it just rubbed onto me little.

carrielou2007 · 07/06/2010 22:12

I spat coughed a bit of my fat free yoghurt out as I mis-read you getting a squeak FMTD

Swift, the baby shop owner has one a 2009 model and totally loves it. Only diff to a 2010 (he got one out of the box to show me) is it come with bumper bar, hte 'prongs' on the outside fo the wheels are more flush and the hood is smaller but comes with flip out uv hood, 299 seems good price for 2009 one, but just not sure why not just go whole hog and get an urban with the fabbi wheels I like

Divatheshopaholic · 07/06/2010 22:16

I loved Urban, it was so simple and great. I never had weight and width issues. I had 2x 3wheelers in the back of my car at times. I love effordless pushing.

basl · 07/06/2010 22:22

Waaaahhhhhh i want one now. Stomp Stomp to go and look at my classic. I want an urban Waaaaaaaaahhhhhh

FlyMeToDunoon · 07/06/2010 22:23

What are the differences in the wheels carrie?

carrielou2007 · 07/06/2010 22:31

2 inches smaller and seemed a bit too small maybe

I was not blown away by my one but it was quite an old one, but was so so so so light and easy to push I was very impressed. Just think ds is a whopper already, I like having a proper 'big' buggy and think he will outgrow the cams quite quickly. xt and MB will hopefully be a good combo and I always like having a 3 wheeler anyway??

The swift price is good for 299 but I think I'd rather have the 'better' buggy for that price or the elite for a wee bit more??

Meant to say how scrumpious is Ernie Maxy

basl · 07/06/2010 22:44

I say get the bigger one Carrie as you already have the xt so maybe the bigger one would be more for you.

Carrie i know how you lost 2 stone so quickly. You seem to spit your food out lots when you read things on here. Is that the secret i really must give it a go. heee heee

FlyMeToDunoon · 07/06/2010 22:53

Maybe I just need Robin Reliant

basl · 07/06/2010 22:58

Well flyme, i have been know to let Daniel walk and pushed Olivia home in the baby jogger but we walk past many of her friends she is at nursery with and the funny looks we get. She is not bothered and i don't mind giving her a little stroll home in the buggy. She has ran about all morning and played at nursery and if it's hot i really don't mind. I can shove Daniel on her knee and they giggle all the way home. So i say why not.
