Tough one Wonka, as its a new pram, and there wont be many of them sold. How much did you pay or it?

wonka · 28/04/2010 23:20

Thanks 5itb, £480 and £40 for the cosytoes.. only a couple of months ago. But back doing 20 hrs work and between that and the school runs its just not getting used (well he is 2) I also know icandy were supposed to be putting up the price in April and the up in VAT I don't know what they are charging now.. Maybe I'll see what John lewis are now charging new?

Disenchanted3 · 29/04/2010 09:20

Girls!!!

Are BJC classics good?

I'm wavering!!

Dexter will not walk, everytime we go out its a nightmare, The bee is crap with the buggyboard on so am thinking of getting a bjcc, much better for the board!

But I do like my bee, its just a bit crap cause we walk loads and up hills and over grass and its a bit of a PITA and with the board on to I've got no chance!

Someones coming to see it in an hour, argh!!

basl · 29/04/2010 09:52

Morning everyone, sounds like everyone been busy busy busy. I call relate all too well to those melt down kids have in front of people.
Carrie i am going to try a walk into next town after dropping olivia off to get that bargain bread and milk from Farm Foods. Such a good way to save some and get some excercise.
I hate shoe shopping too. Always feel obliged to pick a pair after they went to all the bother.
Hi Dis i nearly got the classic i think it is great but just did not like the hood or the colours. If they don't bother you then i think the classic is great.

carrielou2007 · 29/04/2010 10:00

Morning, have been wrestling with the seat unit on my cam for the last hour, sod it ds can stay in the carrcot bit longer!!!

basl I am a bit of a saddo for my bread and milk etc but seems silly to drive and waste petrol when I can use my legs as I'm sort of in that direction. If I just walked that way from my house it's about 40 mins walk so great exercise there and back for my legs, bums and lungs!!

Dis will you make any money on the bee?? Supose it doesn't matter if you can't use it and need something else. Dd is trained, hated the bugaboo board and I walked like a duck with it, just didn't work for us at all. Hopefully soon she will be good enough on her micro scooter for playgroup trip as it takes us half an hour but me coming back only 20 mins.

carrielou2007 · 29/04/2010 10:00

how did that happen??!!!

maxybrown · 29/04/2010 10:07

My nearest farm foods is about an hour half walk I reckon

Might go to Aldi today though for some fruit - you have inspired me to walk carrie - I can't drive anyway, but I just wouldn't have gone! I do walk, just not like I used to. I have to remember I have my insoles now So will go soon - it is ok when don't want loads. That is about 40 min walk I think one way so will be good. i was looking at pictures of myself before I met DH - oh my word!!! Very very very depressing, although my eyes looked HUGE too - bit freaky, not so sure about that and i looked just like my brother

Do you think it works having a picture of yourself on the fridge or somewhere of how you want to be?

Disenchanted3 · 29/04/2010 10:28

yh will make £90! (but i think ill have to buy a zapp too for in the car cause i don't think the BJCC will fit in!)

carrielou2007 · 29/04/2010 10:47

Dis that's good, hope you sell it then.

Maxy I walk everywhere, sometimes literally I will walk to town, feed ds and walk home again. Can't run yet as still too fat and especially when it's a nice day just to go for a walk really makes me feel better.

I need to post something today so insted of going to po on way to playgroup I'll walk on to the next one which is another mile so then two miles to walk home insted of one whilst ds has his long sleep. Dd loves walking so we do have a good walk everyday. I never do a 'big' supermarket shop in the car as I spread it out over the week.

maxybrown · 29/04/2010 10:56

I used to walk all of the time carrie, but after having James (just got worse after having him) I had huge problems with my feet and legs - not mainly whilst doing it but kept me awake at night, then you feel miserable and so on. Anyway then got it sorted - I have a build up inside one shoe as my pelvis is out and so one leg shorter than the other and very heavy over pronator so got insoles now too, has made a massive difference to my life! I walked like a gorilla - literally! They filmed me walking - very very embarassing

So will set off shortly when I work out how to get there

I do one internet shop a month - if I went everyday I would spend more (I do has been proven lol) so I buy the heavy things that have to last us the month then get the rest as and when - I do walk, don't get me wrong, can't drive anyway, but need to do more again now!

Disenchanted3 · 29/04/2010 11:00

I do that Carrie, walk to the shops everry few days, we do get anonline shop once a week though because carring coke home and washing power is a pain!

I need to get onmy diet again, I keep falling of the diet wagon

Woma is coming to get buee now and am ordering BJCC.

Hope I love it!

Is it bigger than BJCM? like MB sized?

maxybrown · 29/04/2010 11:05

Yes it is Dis - I have the Elite, lovely!

I go every few days too, but buy milk in 6 pinters two at a time and once i have that can't carry much else!!

nicolamumof3 · 29/04/2010 11:33

morning all just back from toddlers loads of washing on the line (again)! Luka is refusing to wear nappy but wee's just before its time to wake up grrr! he was dry tho night before last.

Diva how is ds doing today?

i walk everywhere as you know but shops all to close here as im in town so no major exercise there!! i go to all the different supermarkets for the offers as we have sainsbo's, waitrose, iceland and somerfield.

going to make lunch in a bit then off to park whilst sun still shining. weather supposed to go down hill later for w/end..great!

maxybrown · 29/04/2010 11:40

We're getting an iceland soon - can't wait!! Literally a 5 min walk.

Already raining here and very very grey - but warm. Glad I got all my washing done yesterday!

Waiting in for JL delivery so will have lunch and then go to aldi - Google Maps say it is 33 mins walk, so a good start

maxybrown · 29/04/2010 11:43

Carrie I have just looked up further afield too and not as far as I thought so really am going to start doing these walks - thanks for the inspiration Might as well make the most of BJCE!

5inthebed · 29/04/2010 11:58

Dis, I'd rather get nipper than BJCC. I found it too big for me (had BJCE), it was like a tank. Then again, if you don't drive and walk everywhere its lovely to push. Prefer my nipper.

I am aching all over from my swim on Tuesday night, especially the back of my thighs. Can only be a good thing though non?

Althoughsaying I like my nipper, was thinking of selling and buying something with 4 wheels

Disenchanted3 · 29/04/2010 12:06

OOh I just bought it 5in! lol

Am a bit pee'd off though.

Woman txt me over bee, I wanted 270, she said 250, I said no, lowest I'd take is 260. She says OK.

I had to go pick DS up so DH stayed here, mostly because I can't fold bee down and am drap at giving buggy demonstrations.

She gives DH 250! And he took it because he didn't know I already knocked £10 off!

I was selling for £250 without the hood!

So bit gutted and angry at her cheekyness because I had already refused £250!

5inthebed · 29/04/2010 12:22

How rude! You still made a profit though Dis, you only paid £175 for it, which is a good profit.

Did you get the pink one off Ebay?

nicolamumof3 · 29/04/2010 12:28

yep good profit still.

i don't like look of the classic its the hood puts me off. nipper fab with board as its so light you don't notice.

nicolamumof3 · 29/04/2010 13:00

maxy trousers came this morning...lovely he has a couple of shirts will go fab thanks!

maxybrown · 29/04/2010 13:06

oh good! Thanks for letting me know.

Still waiting for JL stuff grrrr. Thought it would be here by now.

What was that cheapy courier you mentioned before? Still after trying a volo for at Mums.

nicolamumof3 · 29/04/2010 13:09

www.parcelmonkey.com is £7.04 for next day up to £50 ins and 10kg.

what you got coming from JL (nosey cow aren't i?!)

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/04/2010 13:12

She was cheeky Dis. Are you going to ask her about it?
I walk everywhere as no car but have sainsbo delivery twice a month and get bits and pieces as and when we need them. Nice walk into town this morning on my own, had a coffee and mooched around, bought a suit in a charity shop for when I have interviews [ha!] and home through park. Very restful if not very energetic.
Am putting XT on ebay. Do you think it's better to try and get an untorn raincover to go with it cheap or just sell with torn one? The tear is at the bottom where the hole for the raincover would have been. Its completely gone.

maxybrown · 29/04/2010 13:15

oh fabby thanks! People say i can arrange coureir but knew you'd mentioned cheaper one.

I got the green towelling set (so now don't want the Boden one that arrived today ) and the stripey set we were on about the other day - the one whare you said Luka has those shorts on at the minute

Though goodness knows what the sizes will be like - might be twisting DH's arm up his back to take me back at the weekend

The polos came today from Boden that i got with the credit and they are very nice - for credit anyway, wouldn't have spent that much on those but they are nice.

then the Boden towelling top that I replaced for seomthing else I sent back so need to swap that now

sorry you asked? thought so! think I might sod the JL delivery and go out, fed up now.
