Yes I did too Nic - I think I did that survey about 20 times last year lol!

Star pumps sold out in DS size - not keen on the red ones - unusual for me!

OrangePetal · 25/04/2010 21:01

diva... i've just googled staffordshire and apparently its 3hrs drive from me so a little far for a trip to pick up a cake...unless your cakes are really good! Your new thread title is appreciated, thank you!

I'm now going to disappear and never come back otherwise by the looks of it you'll convince me into buying a new pushchair. Especially dangerous as my will is weak at the moment...pg with no. 2 and only ever had one pushchair!

maxybrown · 25/04/2010 21:04

ooh orangepetal - run run run now before you can never leave again!!!!!!!!!

nicolamumof3 · 25/04/2010 21:04

i think the camo one be nice for ds2 i'd prob order both tbh to try on? or use the xnht code then only costs £22 lovely jacket they are 5in.

(off to check boden myself now!)

Divatheshopaholic · 25/04/2010 21:05

Lol, I did survey once or twice, and never did it again Thought why again?

5in, did you look at my picturetrail?
Anyone had zapp? Are they any good? We need something small, as it will be only needed for emergencies.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 25/04/2010 21:07

5in have had that coat 2 years running now, tis fab! I don't like camo but the blue stripe is gorgeous on.

5inthebed · 25/04/2010 21:08

Diva, I did, and I replied. Will find what I asked for and paste it onto this thread. brb

5inthebed · 25/04/2010 21:10

nicolamumof3 · 25/04/2010 21:10

Divatheshopaholic · 25/04/2010 21:12

Orangepetal, thats shame you dont live near. I would love to have friend over for tea and cake. We love lemon drizzle cake, and it called Mumsnet cake in our household
Dont worry, im so over prams. Im actually one buggy woman I might turn you into Boden addict instead. I love their baby stuff, if dh not fixed i could have another baby.
By the way, congratulation on No2. I have two and its lovely. I assume you checked my profile.

5in, those coats are lovely, go for it.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 25/04/2010 21:26

I will come for tea and cake Diva

OrangePetal · 25/04/2010 21:31

yup, i did check your profile out in the hope you were just round the corner from me! Wish i hadn't looked at photos though , I must start baking myself one day!
Is your son actually asleep on his train track? Its the kind of thing my DS would do too!

I do love the Boden stuff but I'm a dressmaker so make things for DS instead. I do admit to there being a strong boden influence on some of the designs though

argh, you see, i wasn't going to come back but now this is in my threads i'm on!!

sorry girls, i really am going now!

Divatheshopaholic · 25/04/2010 21:33

Maxy, Please come over, ds will love to have James for play. Im free next week
5in, St George top is green stripes. 10pounds for all inc postage.
Nicola, zapp sounds not my kind of buggy. How about volo? Will it be ok for ds? He is on and off buggy all the time, its like little chair walks around with him. Although i had ds, when dd was 2.8. Surprisingly i still find ds little DD had Bugaboo board wit seat till 3yr old. She loved it.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 25/04/2010 21:37

i think boys like their buggy tho. i really like volo. i have mine happy to send to you if you want to try out but would cost couriers?

Divatheshopaholic · 25/04/2010 21:41

Orangepetal, yes, thats my little man asleep on his train truck. He had this little signal in his hands I did nasty mummy took his pictures and did little video on my camera. When i picked him up, he had carpet print on his forehead
Dressmaker sounds lovely, i always wanted to be designer. Hence my love of shopping and buying endless clothes for my chidlren. You could make lovely Bodenique clothes and sell to me
Sorry if im being horrible to you. We often get intruder, in the past many times, been called pram porns etc... We had terrible MN addicts VS Pram addicts, then MN tower let us have chat thread on here.
Most of us recovering from prams, but we been talking to each other daily basis we are kind of little family.
Anyway, what have you got your baby? We love babies, dont we Nicola?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 25/04/2010 21:47

yes i do love babies...so much i may have another and i love clothes for my babies..probably because i hate my own body i enjoy dressing my kids more?

carrielou2007 · 25/04/2010 21:48

Evening

Right on Maxy with that lady on the clothes, selling stuff you don't want for the price you paid on here is fine, selling for a profit is not, that's what ebay is for and for the lies well, my mum used to say to me that liar's never have friends and I never fotgot it.

Who has a MB?? Actually pleased with it, fab condition, called urban but must be an older modle as no adjustable handbar, nice in black. How do I get the wheel back to swivel, I had dd in it (tons of room still for her!!!!!) then took it out in the garden so put the wheel on fixed now can't get it back to swivel

Very light to push, easy to fold and lightweight, bit plain though, will be fab for on the beach, in the woods and if we get any more snow next winter

I now seem to keep looking at Next directory at boys clothes, can't help getting sucked in from you ladies

Divatheshopaholic · 25/04/2010 21:51

Sadly, what you said is truth. I hate buying new clothes for myself, never looks right.
Is Volo a lot smaller than Quest? Does it have new style brakes?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 25/04/2010 21:58

diva will tell you all about MB's carrie..!

they always seemed so utilitarian to me for so much money?? i nearly bought one when i sold my p&t last year but went for nipper and it truly is fab and for me can't be beaten due to its weight.

diva..volo is quite different to quest.. no leg rest and the seat is lort of hammocky there are no plastic supports behind the seat as you get on quest. new style volo as per new style quest and all maclarens have new style brakes.

Divatheshopaholic · 25/04/2010 22:07

I love MB, or i correct it to I loved MB.
The best 3 wheeler i ever had, such a good built prams. There is little turn button on the side by the top of the front wheel. The newer styles had on and off on it like spray bottles etc.. They are great on beaches and terrain walks. Really the best suspension.
Nicola, not keen on no leg rest and hamocky seat. I think i just need another Quest with newer style brakes. Im going to call Maclaren tomorrow morning, and will send buggy to Additions, i think. In the hope Additions will fix it or will let me have another Quest. According to Dis, they should offer me exchange

OP posts:
maxybrown · 25/04/2010 22:08

I don't like kick across brakes - like on triumph, very annoying. Is volo like that? Confused now!

Diva, will sort out coming over then

nicolamumof3 · 25/04/2010 22:11

no all new style macs have the break mechanism in middle except xt's/ryders/xlrs where they have brakes on teh actual wheels so not 'all new style' just all new style volo/quest/triumphs hope that makes sense?

maxybrown · 25/04/2010 22:13

ah, I like the ones I have best. Have been trying to get a look at newer quests when out - could see they were different but couldn't see in comparison to the Triumph I had. Makes sense now I wouldn't mind on volo as wouldn't use it often.

maxybrown · 25/04/2010 22:14

did you decide what I should buy?

carrielou2007 · 25/04/2010 22:15

Thanks Diva, I'm turning the screw, it will come off but not flick back into swivel, is it broken or do I need to give it a squirt of WD40 somewhere

Volo brakes are like a little lever, much better than kick across. I miss my volo!!!
