oooh me too dunoon never made it tho..yum!

last day of nice weather today so getting all my washing done and then trip to park then macdonalds lunch and nursery for Tate. Swimming lessons for luka then Tae Kwon do for Tate another busy day!

carrielou2007 · 28/04/2010 10:08

Morning

Waiting for courier here too, left a note on the door yesterday and he did sling it over the back gate but this parcel a bit bigger...hmm, dd would miss playgroup, may leave a note and the back gate unlocked??

Lemon meringue my lemon fat free yoghurt has lost its appeal now

Forgot to say well done on the 5lb Nicola

Might just hoover upstairs quickly whilst ds sleep, you watch DHL will turn up now!

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/04/2010 12:48

Lemon meringue pie made I will have to cut down on the sweet things I eat.
I think I will try and cut out the biscuits and crap during the day and can have pudding after dinner. Trouble is finding healthy snacks. What does anyone else eat?
Busy indeed Nicola. I am trying to empty my laundry basket. 3rd load in atm.
I want courier to come because I need to go up town later and want to get a try of the new quest.

5inthebed · 28/04/2010 13:28

I'm not a sweet fiend so I can manage fine without chocs and cake. Its savoury stuff I crave, especially crisps. I usually have pickles in the fridge and eat them if I want something crunchy.

Well done on the 5lbs Nicola!

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/04/2010 13:35

Have had to eat some pie. Yummy. Also had to finish DD3's bit, of course.
Am I fooling myself thinking oatcakes and cheese is a healthy snack? Probably huh.
Pickles sounds too cold and wet. Cheese and pickles?
Right courier has collected and I can move freely all over the house and even hoover if I get the urge

maxybrown · 28/04/2010 15:33

I'm exactly the same 5in!

Divatheshopaholic · 28/04/2010 15:34

Hi all, I have been busy with houssehold works. Bought ds Thomas pants from Asda, this morning he wanted them one
Now, we are officially on toilet training He wet twice, at 12 and 3, means he is holding onto it for a few hours. But no luck on toilet, expect tiny weeny bit he sprayed this morning
Where is Nicola, i need support?

OP posts:
maxybrown · 28/04/2010 15:43

Oh I gave up diva - he has no idea when he needs a wee at all........he will have long dry periods but then just wees, it's just the pooh he seems to know He does not like wearing the pants though!

nicolamumof3 · 28/04/2010 15:49

afternoon all. what a crap afternoon.

luka hates swimming lessons.

he's so shy so anyone looks at him, talks to him anyone gets too close etc he hates it so you can imagine.

he wouldn't join in and was shouting and throwing his ball at me...so we got out he went mentaaaaallll! really bad was uncontrollable screaming etc had to drag him to changing him. Lots of stares oh and i realised during lesson my boob was half out of cossie where he had been pulling at me.

he's now asleep in quest in garden! DH home i've asked him to take tate to TKD with luka so i can get on with my housework in piece as not bloody stopped with these kids today grrr.

Diva i would leave pants/shorts off if you can and leave potty out for him. Gently remind him but don't go on and on. does he know when he's about to wee? i was lucky with luka he knew straight away and learnt it within a couple of days. hit and miss (literally) with poos tho! but that will come.

maxybrown · 28/04/2010 15:53

Oh sorry Nicola, that made me laugh about the boob hanging out poor you though.

It's funny isn't it how James mastered the poohing (which I thought was going to be a nightmare) but no idea about weeing. Just not mature enough yet in the bladder department I guess

Got James some shorts from JL - had to get 12/18 months as they were huge!! 9/12 fitted perfectly but wanted them a little longer so went for 12/18 but still a bit big on waist copeable with though! Weird when the top only just fitted him.

nicolamumof3 · 28/04/2010 16:12

yep the jl shorts are generous on luka. yep my poor boob!

Divatheshopaholic · 28/04/2010 16:18

Oh Nicola, sounds like my kind of day. We took DD swimming lesson, and ds cried all the way. He would not shut up and i had looks from other parents. When your ds dont shut up,what do you do? Am i suppsoed to shove my shoes in his mouth. Anyway you can tell how bad it was.
Im worried, i know its early days, but wetting himself, does not bother himalthough he loves his pants.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 28/04/2010 16:29

don't worry tate was just the same. its only day one. bet by end of week he's better. if he's up for wearing pants then great. if he continues to wet himself i'd leave pants/trousers off indoors. then he's got nothing to wee into if you see what i mean. i think they just think they have a different kind of nappy on iykwim?

Divatheshopaholic · 28/04/2010 17:36

I understand what you mean. He sat on toilet but nothing happened. he sits on for couple of minutes then walk off like he done brilliant job

I had a stressful trip into town after school. DD2 needed new trainers and was in tears last night asking for some so that she can do PE at school. [School had only asked for trainers last weekend]
Anyways it was an hour of me asking the two youngest to stop running around the shop, escalating to me yelling of course and them just continuing. Eventually kneed coaxed DD3 into her pushchair and strapped her in with her crying of course. Got trainers and also some socks for DD1. DD1 then whinged and moaned all the way along the road about the long list of other things she wanted and hadn't got.
Aaaaaargh
There must be something in the air today.

5inthebed · 28/04/2010 19:10

I hate shoe shopping. DS1+2 both need new schoo, shoes, so joy of all joys we are off to get some at the weekend. They go through school shoes like something not right!

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/04/2010 19:22

Yeah in fact DD2 seems to have grown a size and so should need new school shoes too.
I am going to let DP deal with it though.
Have sent all DDs upstairs and ordered them to get themselves ready and in bed or else!
Seems to be working so far......

nicolamumof3 · 28/04/2010 20:37

evening all...you all have my sympathies!

just went to next on retail park and took my goodies back that i had purchased yday..and dh got too lovely shirts he tried them on and looked scrummy! so we are both pleased

then home via waitrose just had lovely curry mmmh. im def eating less tho couldn't finish mine.

loads of interest in my garden toys/ride ons so fielding messages about them and need to check the stuff at my mums.

5in what size school shoes you need? Tom has some boots which are lovely i know not right now but maybe for back to school in September think they are 2.5f?

5inthebed · 28/04/2010 20:51

DS1 is a size 1 Nicola, but thanks. I bought them black skechers school shoes last time, and they've lasted longer than normal school shoes, so might go for those again. Barratts sell them for £20 although half the time don't have the size I need.

nicolamumof3 · 28/04/2010 21:02

clarks outlets are fab if you have one near you?

5inthebed · 28/04/2010 21:17

Not sure. Clark shoes never fit DS2 very well, as he is a D width and they don't do them in that. And DS1 has been known to wreck Clarks into the ground within a week or two. I need really sturdy shoes, velcro straps are a must as well as neither can do laces.

Ds2 just starting to put his own shoes on, so need to keep it up.

nicolamumof3 · 28/04/2010 21:21

yep school shoes do get wrecked fast. Tom wants black plimsolls for the summer so he's having those!

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/04/2010 21:26

Is there a clarks outlet here Nicola?
Loved the boob story btw

nicolamumof3 · 28/04/2010 21:28

no went to one 'ooop north' one of the highlights of an inlaws trip to lancashire.

wonka · 28/04/2010 21:44

Can any of you lovely experts tell me how much I should ask for my icandy peach single pushchair? I've no idea what to sell it for? Thank you
