Oh i am nervous about that. Maxy thinking about you and dh and little james hope you are all well and having a fab time. Still trying to put more pics on but taking for ever.
Nic big squeezy hug from me. nah nah nah nah nah told you so. [sorry guess who has been on the red wine tonigh] Geek i blame you with tempting me earlier. How bad is this 6.30pm Daniel ready for bed and olivia arrives home from having a fab time at grandads and i say lets nip over to the co-op for milk . In the co-op i buy milk, crisps, choc, Bottle of red wine. Leave the co-op and who do we bump into but Olivias nursery teacher. Teachers asks if she is having a late night because nursery finished for a fortnight and Olivia prompty told her no mum needed some wine then Olivia aske Mrs Willson who's hand she was holding? Is that your dad so i well and truly deserve my glass/bottle of wine. Dh on tripple time so not home till late.

I'm wondering if I can get enough for a Bee+, or maybe I'm just being greedy.

I've found ton of denim skirts, my sister gave me them years ago, when DS1 was 1 year old! Will pop them on Ebay I think. Theres a start

Disenchanted3 · 13/04/2010 11:28

What size are they? been hankering after some skirts.

nicolamumof3 · 13/04/2010 11:32

not greedy at all 5in..set yourself a challenge i made about £200 on ebay last month and about same this month can be done!

BexieID · 13/04/2010 11:49

Yes nicola, Tom starts school August 2011. 2 years at nursery, then straight into Primary 1. Erin will only have 1.5 years at nursery and will start school at 4.8 years, Tom will be 5.4.

Speaking of nursery, he is at the local council offices one today. He was offered a place there for 3 days this week (although just going today/tomorrow as was going to have a party thursday but I just can't be bothered with it (and the influx of more toys to house)). I sound like a right old grinch, lol. PIL are doing a party on sunday for him and last night we just stuck Thomas faces/buttons on a victoria sponge out of Asda.

Erin is 16 weeks today and has her last lot of jags today, till the 13 month ones anyway!

5inthebed · 13/04/2010 13:24

They're mostly size 18s selling them on Ebay here, but don't laugh! I've no idea how to list clothes

Can't believe Erin is 16 weeks already!

carrielou2007 · 13/04/2010 13:32

Afternoon

Lovely and sunny here, more washing out as it is pretty windy and a bit chilly.

16 weeks, Ds is 12 weeks today where does the time go!! He could not have his injections as he has a bit of a temp. Been using calpol since yesterday, nurse says use nuerofen too(always worked wonders with dd). Chemist won't sell it to me until he is 3 months which they say is 13 weeks. Go back to get it on Rx they can't get a doctor to speak to me over the phone until tomorrow. Aarraaaagh!!!!!!!

Dis I have a lovely Next denim skirt, dark indigo button up the front (too short for me so hardly worn) size 14 I can email pics now I seem to remember you saying when you had a Bee before you were never going to sell it (though I think your oven broke then??!!)

nicolamumof3 · 13/04/2010 14:32

i'd be interested in pics of skirt too carrielou if dis isn't? thanks!

back from shops took my bracelet in to be mended its a charmlinks one like pandora and just literally snapped! said i could get replacement if find receipt but goodness knows where that is. Then remembered i have my sweetie bracelet to take in and get cleaned properly its gone really dull i can't get it clean.

just having 5mins then off swimming with the boys.

Disenchanted3 · 13/04/2010 15:03

heres my i'coo targo

Have listed it on ebay and just hoping to get as much as I can, I borrowed the money from my puppy fund so need to put it back ASAP! lol

carrielou2007 · 13/04/2010 15:18

Naughty poor puppy!! Where did you buy the i'coo will you get your money back or maybe a wee bit more??

Having a stress found (another) YM bag I like, reduced to 52 and a 10% voucher and though it says 1 item in shopping cart the qty won't change from 0 to 1 even though it says in stock. Tried to ring and answer machine grrrr!!!

maxybrown · 13/04/2010 15:21

Afternoon all. Been with my Mum all day, nice. She has gone now and Dh at parents eening til half eight.

Dis he is having his test done at stepping hill hospital audiology. As far as i amaware he has no problems at all. he hardly speaks so they just want to rule everything out, though the speech therapist sent a stupid wrong letter to the hospital, so they will think he is much worse than he is. Then next week I have to take him to dental hospital in manchester to look at his jaw/teeth........sigh. I think he just won't bloody speak and that's that! Litle monkey.

5in, please can you email me your address for trousers?

I have just had someone on ebay ask for some pictures of the insode of our caravan........there are loads on there (16) grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Then people asking the length (it's on there) and the year (it's in the main title) unbelievable!

carrielou2007 · 13/04/2010 15:24

Maxy any decent auiologist should be able to tell just from talking to him even before doing the test if he has any trouble or not. Glue ear even in one ear it is quite obvious

maxybrown · 13/04/2010 15:28

thanks carrie my doctor (I know not an audiologist) spent a bit of time with him and thought there were no issues.

Besides, he doesn't try to speak and it come out funny or anything, he just says noooooooo (whilst laughing) or in the case of the speech therapist, just sat and stared at her like she was a loon....well.....

maxybrown · 13/04/2010 15:29

oh and I promise i won't bombard you as that is irritating, but they should chat to him a bit first you reckon?

carrielou2007 · 13/04/2010 15:37

Bombard away I love my job but I haven't worked with paed's for about 7 years and no in NHS for about 5 so will be bit out of touch with current. I would say that they should have a wee chat to him and you to explain what to do and should have an idea but I have known just go straight into the test. The main thing is in MHS they only do air conduction and really you need bone conduction to know if a)below 20dbh if loss and b)the type. If you can scribble down copy of the audiogram (sometimes meanies won'tgive you a copy, the are not obliged to but I did if asked) I can have a look at it.

maxybrown · 13/04/2010 15:42

Ok thanks carrie. i am worried they will ask him to drop things into a slot and he will jsut be bloody minded am panicking about it slightly, esp because of the stupid letter she sent to them as it really does make out he has problems - eg, she said he thinks yumyum means hello - that is not true AT ALL!!!! Nowhere near the truth.

I spoke ot the salt about what she had written and she said "ohhhhhhhh, I didn't realise, I completly misunderstood, I didn't realise that anything he says could be understood by a complete stranger......" er yes, that is what i have been saying to you!!!!!

carrielou2007 · 13/04/2010 15:51

silly women for want of a better expression!!! That is how we used to test though, I used to have a weeble boat and weebles and you them in the boat or would use a photo and point to the picture etc. Worked very well for me would be a choc drop or lolly put in a pot and if the little one's joined in (i.e insted of being 'don't want to') they go the treat at the end - not best NHS practise but worked for me if mum said it was ok!!! Sometimes it will literally be a tiny response from the child, as you can imagine children with Downs (often have congenital hearing problems) they often can't explain what they are hearing so watching any reaction is critical.

maxybrown · 13/04/2010 15:55

thank you so much I just imagined him sitting there like a lemon not doing anything and them wondering how he has survived for so long with no action being taken!! He will probably not drop anything into anything as knowing him, he will be too busy listening! he will prob go "Oh" "oh" evrytime he hears something - still at least they'll know then eh?

Thank you again, sorry talking shop n all.

5inthebed · 13/04/2010 17:09

Maxy, have emailed you

Just got a letter from the health and safety department, they are investigating DH's accident. Also contacted a no win no fee solicitors, but it's not worth pursuing as would be less than £1k compo, so they would have to charge us fees. Will have to call them next week with update on DHs fingers. Oh well, quite glad in a way as it was all getting too stressful.

5inthebed · 13/04/2010 17:09

Dis, I'coo looks lovely, shame it's not blue!

carrielou2007 · 13/04/2010 18:02

I am so [sngry] yesterday my front door key sort of moved and I thought I need to get a new one in case that snaps off (you can see where this is going). I ring dc's dad to tell him ds could not have his injections and that I need to get a parcel to post office and get a key cut can he watch the dc quicker then I can whip out He says he'll be over at about 2 which for him is about 3pm. At 2.30 I ring him, I'll just 5 mins he says. At 5.15pm I rin him I'm just on my way I scream down the phone at him I won't make it to the post office or key cutters now. I sling the dc in the car lock the door and guess what my key snaps off in the lock.

I've just shut and locked all the windows as going out I have no bag just my purse and keys. Their dad gets here and luckily I had not shut the window to my bathroom but being town house it is a long way up for him on his ladders. He is now sheepishly trying to get the rest of the key out of the lock whilst I ring 24 hour locksmiths for less than 150 .

I am so cross I may well explode and I want wine but can't because of bloody breast feeding!!!!!!!!!

carrielou2007 · 13/04/2010 18:04

Frorgot in my [anger] he was coming over as waiting for a parcelforce parcel and whilst we were out they came and left a card so have to wait in all bloomin day tomorrow as well now grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

maxybrown · 13/04/2010 18:08

Oh nooooooooooooooooo I know how that feels when my deadlock dropped and couldn't get back in, horrible!

maxybrown · 13/04/2010 18:11
